Hey, I need responses from students to my survey about how you get to and from campus. Would any of you who are current students or recent grads mind taking it? It takes 2-3 minutes and would really help us out.

I'm an OSU alum living in Cincy but am working with students on this specifically for Ohio universities. My mom actually attended Miami.

Hi, I'm an international student intending to apply for MU this year. I have some questions hoping u guys can help me.
If yes, what is the average living off-campus expense/ year ? 5) Does MU provide on-campus jobs for students ? 6) Can I ask for more financial after being accepted ? My family contribution range is $15k-$20k/year. A person told me to put an EFC of $20k and then ask for additional $3k-$5k after being accepted so I'm a little bit confused.
Thanks in advance.
MU!
Any advice on where to go and what to see? I'm taking the tour but I don't know how extensive it is and if there's more to see. Thanks.
I'm new to this subreddit, and I know it's been trying to move to /r/miamioh, but seeing as how this place still has more people, I figured I'll post here. Why don't we Miami redditors meet up somewhere, make friends, be nerdy together? Might as well!
I have a question that is really more about the Oxford area, but I didn't see a sub for that. I figured this was the next best thing. Here is my situation:
I am currently a senior at Wright State (about an hour away from Oxford). My girlfriend of three years is currently a sophomore at Miami. She has 2-4 years left (depending on where she goes to grad school), and we have discussed the possibility of me moving down that way after I graduate. I am an accounting/finance double major and hope to sit for the CPA sometime next year.
I really don't know much about the Oxford area aside from campus/uptown/Kroger/Walmart.......so, my question is: Are there good opportunities in Oxford to start a career in accounting? Where do "professionals" work that live in Oxford? If not in Oxford, how far must one drive to find these types of jobs?
Thanks in advance
Hey everyone, as a follow-up to the previous post I made, go subscribe and contribute to /r/miamioh! I've migrated some of the style and I have some ideas to spice it up, but I need some submissions to test against.
From here on out consider this subreddit to be in maintenance mode, over time we will add a subreddit migration text to the page, and eventually disable posting!
It's been a few years since I've been to the skate park but I just drove by it a little bit ago and noticed they had the gate locked. Is there a reason to this or is it opening a later time now?
Anyone know anything?
I was on a uni rankings site and it said MU restricts alcohol from age appropriate students.
I'm a zoology major looking to transfer in the spring. I was wondering if any one on this subreddit was also majoring in zoology and had anything to say about Miami's program. I keep hearing great things about it but it would really help hearing the cold, hard truth from people who actually go here.
They're block. Every now and then for some reason it would start to download but is there a way to use them? vpn? I know of those site where you can put in torrents and download the files but those seems incredibly slow. A step by step guide for extra points.
Hi I'm a senior this year and have been looking for more people the play Magic: The Gathering with me and also to join/start a group for Dungeons and Dragons (I can't DM though). If anyone is interested in playing some casual Magic at the very least send me a PM and we can meet up somewhere and play. I tried going through the games club but last I talked to them they seemed hesitant to even want to talk to me about this stuff.
Is anyone actually taking classes during the winter term? There are a grand total of 20 people signed up for CSE courses for the winter, and other majors don't have much more. I feel like this is really useless if only a small number of students are going to actually use it, considering that the rest of us will have a larger workload with shorter regular semesters.
Transferring in for fall, currently looking for a place. Hawk's Landing and Oxford Commons are 2 places I've found that still have openings for someone that doesn't have roommates, but I'd prefer something closer if possible. Any recommendations?
I hear tales of a disc golf course on campus. Most the online reviews say it isnt what it used to be but still it is my best option not having a car. So are there any locals that can provide a map so i can navigate it?
Edit: Thanks for all the responses, I guess this is just something I have to live with. But you guys rock helping out.
I'm working on an illustrated piece and need a picture of the Chinese food station. I also need a picture of the lady who inquires your preference of teriyaki or none. Google image search has failed me. Thanks!
I am currently deliberating which school to spend my college career at and MU is one of my top schools. I was wondering what reasons the students themselves would give in favor of attendance. Thank you for your input in my college search process!
going to bring a car to campus this year!!! was wondering what people found to be the cheapest station for gas....and cheapest place for beer
