Some say Hollywood can't make good movies any more. Let's pretend you're sitting around a table of Hollywood executives pitching to them the next big movie.

This isn't a specific scenario but a general idea of something I'd like to find more of in movies - realistic scenes of people eating food and drinking non-alcoholic beverages within a film. I'm not talking about the in-jokey thing with Brad Pitt in the Ocean's movies constantly eating something, but a real life-like pause of the business of the narrative to show people eating (or watching TV or anything that has a genuine texture).
For instance, in a horror movie, instead of every scene being so fast paced, a few times you slow it down to show characters being regular/real people and sitting down to perhaps a pizza. And during that time they would not be talking about the business of the plot, at least not at first. You'd show them getting their pizza, talking about how it looks good and is from a restaurant they frequent. You'd show the pizza. They'd have some and say how good it is. Then maybe after eating for a minute, some "plot talk" laces its way in.
My reasoning is that movies need to slow down and move at a more leisurely pace and present characters as real people . . . who eat.
A icon singer falls in love with a alligator tour guide.
Movie idea. Space Jam with UFC fighters.
grotesquely animated horror adaptation that i feel the story deserves in order to live its full potential. instead of remy finding and pursuing his love for food, he finds and pursues a vengeful hate for humans (by trapping them in restaurants and poisoning their food) after he is separated from his family in a similar way to the movie, but before said separation, his family is murdered and he’s forced to watch in order to survive. displaced and emerging in a 1950’s italy in an undeniably sweeny todd fashion, he scavenges night after night, avoiding near death experiences nearly every instant until he stumbles across an equally outcasted linguini, whom he’s sealed a bond with instantly after murdering a mutual foe trying to rid his alley of the two.
The title would be Plants vs. Zombies. (maybe change up the spelling to avoid copyright)
The whole idea of the movie is that music industry plants are trying to survive in the studio during the zombie apocalypse. Have a bunch of 4th wall breaks and meta references to real life, and have all of the main characters loosely based off of celebrities that a lot of people believe are industry plants.
The budget should be no more than $10,000.
I have an idea for a metal gear solid movie.
Concept, idea, belongs to, DDSMM
It’s metal gear solid with multiple themed movie genres as the boss fights, the serious nuclear warhead overhead story is told in serious drama style fashion, while the com link banter could be handled with Quentin Tarantino’s style.
The Metal Gear Solid Head fight would be choreographed by Sylvester Stallone.
The concept is, it’s metal gear solid but every boss is a unique visual experience.

A trainee astronaut becomes the unwitting carrier of a werewolf curse as he embarks on a mission to the International Space Station, where he must navigate the dangers of both the lunar landscape and his own inner beast.
Mark, a talented trainee astronaut with dreams of exploring the cosmos, is out for a routine jog one night when he is viciously attacked by a werewolf. Miraculously surviving the encounter, Mark finds himself inexplicably drawn to the night skies, experiencing heightened senses and an insatiable hunger for raw meat. As Mark continues his rigorous training for an upcoming mission to the International Space Station, strange occurrences start happening around him. Colleagues begin to go missing, their bodies found mutilated in a manner reminiscent of animal attacks.
Mark starts to suspect that the creature that attacked him has passed on its curse, turning him into a werewolf with each passing full moon.Selected to join the crew onboard the station, Mark struggles to keep his monstrous urges in check as he hurtles towards the stars. But as the lunar cycle progresses and the station drifts further from Earth, the confines of the space station become a claustrophobic nightmare, with Mark's dual nature threatening to unravel not only his mission but the lives of his fellow astronauts.
As tensions rise and the crew members turn on each other, Mark must confront his inner beast and find a way to break the curse before it consumes him completely. With the dark void of space as the backdrop, Lunar Nightmares is a thrilling tale of survival, betrayal, and the terrifying secrets that lurk within the shadows of the cosmos.
So, I was just watching the TV in the kitchen while eating some cereal. There was some goofy ahh film there called "Towers" about a guy in a dark blue suit (I think he was supposed to be a businessman) who had 3 big classicism-styled skyscrapers, and they were super unstable. Every time one would fall, which was frequent, the man would scream: "NOOOOOOO MY TOWER!!!". The buildings could legit lose grip and splat on the ground because of wind, yikes. Aside from that, the towers also regenerated themselves like fences in GTA. I think the plot was supposed to be about how the guy becomes godzilla-sized and goes to the towers and manually rebuilds them out of barely usable debris. I don't know why, since they already regenerate themselves A notable episode from the film was as follows: The suit guy is standing somewhere not far away from the towers. Suddenly, the wind starts to blow and a random fcking skyscraper decides to start collapsing and the man goes like: "NOOO THAT THING IS ABOUT TO COLLAPSE AND HIT MY TOWER!!!", which is what happens shortly after. He just stares. In pain
Yes, I'm going after one of the best movies ever done, but making it fit reality a little better. Now, I'm no writer by any means, so I hope someone can developer the main storyline a little better.
Preface: The time is 2028, the middle class is wrecked, the bottom 70% hold only 2% of the wealth, the top 1% holds 50% of the wealth. The banks, politicians, and corporations are all intertwined and just create hyper inflation while the low classes pay for it by owning no assets. Houses are 45X median salary, and 90% of the people are slaving away just to be able to eat and not be homeless.
Maybe story: One man from a lower class (maybe a cleaner at a billionaire's house, maybe a pilot, a drive, etc.) gets bad news. He has a brain tumor and only 2 months to live. He decides he wants to chance something for the better before he goes, so he writes up a letter, and tell his wife to send it to the media after his death. He kills the billionaire. The letter says: "we are legion" (yes, like anonymous)..."my fellow soldiers don't know me, and we never planned anything, but if the inheritance and assets of (billionaire's name) won't be equally divided to all the direct and indirect employees of (billionaires companies), the next ones to die will be the heirs of him. We also advise the rest of the billionaires to follow suit, as they are next in line".
At first, no one takes it seriously, but after a few months, another murder with the same letter. This time, it's a person who committed suicide because they saw no future.
After a few more murders (and nothing good happening with the inheritance), the ultra-rich are starting to get worried. They hire security... But those can be also people who want to kill them. So they start paying them millions, but now these rich security guys are the target... You get the drift.
Haven't came up with an end though... And some few side-plots will be good too.
For context the "Black Mafia Family" is a organisation who is involved in smuggling of cocaine.
The movie:
The movie follows one of the "Demetrius Edward" who is the leader , and shows the smuggling as well as all the violence, and at the same time it shows the Goverment agencies (like the FBI, DEA etc) and their side of the story. It is directed in the style of "the departed" movie / goodfellas. The point of the movie is to show the rise and fall of the family, and show the positives of the Black Mafia Family from Demetrius Edwards perspective as well as the negatives from the goverments perspective.
The viewer is then able to decide whether they support the family or not
Mario and Luigi are in the Mafia, and Bowser is part of the Yakuza, and that's why he hates Mario. Peach is a double agent, playing both sides for her own personal agenda.
An alternative version of events which shows Bin Laden' escape and flee towards USA, and decides to try and cause as much chaos as possible, but does so in a armature way - Stealing from the bakery, graffiti, keying cars etc until he decides to steal a truck carrying oil. The film focuses mainly on Bin Laden and some people who he meets on the way
A bucket salesmen starts to deal with marijuana and accidentally kills someone, and then attempts to manipulate the media to make him seem suicidal using his cousins technical skills
3 Men from different backgrounds join the military while tensions are high. They are civilians who are trained at amateur level, but are deployed on a mission to plant a small device into an energy plant facility which the enemy country has taken over overseas to disrupt the enemy. However 1 of them gets caught and undergoes interrogation, and the two try to rescue him.
As they do so, the third military member discover that there are two twins left behind after overhearing a conversation between the enemy. After the two soldiers manage to break free the third solider, they then go against the plan and decide to rescue those two twins, and escape while being chased and use nothing but their common sense and limited tools given to them while the enemy uses higher tech equipment.
The aforementioned character is fictional by the way.
Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is lonely in life, but is thriving as the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. He finished his GED and is about to start college. His one saving grace is that he goes to see MJ at the coffee shop every day and gets the chance to talk to her.
However MJ is skeptical why Peter knows so much about her and rejects Peter’s offer to get a cup of coffee together. This almost breaks him
All the sudden the symbiote goes after Peter Parker and he becomes the black suit Spiderman. Suddenly Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire come back to take back the venom symbiote from the universe as it doesn’t belong there, but Tom holland doesn’t want to give it up
It’s a movie about two spidermen against the other one.
Also Harry Osborn is in the mix.
No venom, Black suit is saved for secret wars.
The setting is modern day, a city in the US, nowhere in particular. Kumar is a timid but upbeat Indian man in his late 30's/early 40's living alone in a big city. By day he goes to work at an office building where he is the only foreigner. He has acquaintances, but no real friends. He spends his nights watching his favorite Bollywood movie series about "Raj," a flamboyant and attractive man who is sure of himself and always gets the girl.
Feeling loneliness and depression creeping in, Kumar decides to try a dating app for some companionship or a possible mate. Knowing that he needs to spice up his profile, and after taking several comedic photos of himself, he rashly uploads a picture of the Bollywood character of Raj instead. To mitigate the effects of finding out he is not the "Raj" from the photo, he purchases a plushy version of the Bollywood character to give as a gift to the prospective lady he will be meeting via the app.
Several women reject him, not even accepting the gift of the plushy, as they are upset at meeting the timid Kumar instead of the handsome Raj from the photo. After several failed dates of rejection and outright disgust from the women he meets, he grows to resent the plushy doll of the man he idolized, feeling burdened by it, a weight he can't get rid of, a purchase he can't return.
In an act of desperation, Kumar gets drunk at bar, making a fool of himself by doing karaoke in front of yet more strangers who laugh and make fun of him, all while the doll silently mocks him in his own delusional mind. He stumbles from the bar, taking his anger out on the doll, kicking it, throwing it into traffic, even going so far as to toss it off a bridge, but before he can, he passes out.
When Kumar awakes, he finds none other than the real Bollywood character Raj standing above him. He realizes that he and the doll have switched places, and he is now a doll version of himself, a cute plushy toy with a smile on its face. The Raj character gingerly brings him to a bar, where he meets a pretty woman, giving the Kumar doll to her as a gift, which she happily accepts. In doll form, Kumar has a wonderful night with the woman and Raj, going to a carnival and riding rides, seeing a movie nestled next to the woman, and has a fantastic night on the date as a plushy toy, held by the beautiful woman the whole night.
The movie ends with the woman going to bed that night, holding the plushy toy of Kumar. Having found happiness in the arms of a woman, the closing shot focuses on the smiling face of the doll of Kumar.
Kumar and Raj can be played by the same actor in the same way Christopher Reeves played both Clark and Superman, one timid and unassuming and the other confident and strong. In my head I see Rizwan Manji as the title characters.
LMK what you think, or if this is a terrible idea. Thanks!
At the end of the 15th century, the leading lord, Gustav, shows off his new amber bathroom to his friends.
Another lord notices that the floor seems a little unstable. The five of them are preserved in amber when the floor collapses.
In 2024, a team of scientists releases the manor lords from their amber prison.
Starving, the lords eat some juicy roast chickens in a park. They throw the bones to the ground.
A hippie in sandals walks by: "Excuse me, you can't just throw that on the ground. This is a public park - you can't behave like a feudal lord!"
The lords look into each other's eyes in agreement. Leader Gustav knocks the man down with a fist to the face.
Dissatisfied with the modern way of life, the gang decides to take back their lands one by one using ruthless medieval methods.
In the end, the lords reclaim Gustav's estate.
A self-righteous politician now lives there, and he makes a speech about how the lords have to get used to modern life, and how politicians like him are the real manor lords now.
After defeating the politician, the manor lords want to see how it all began and examine the amber bathroom.
Gustav: "Now that we have our estates back, I could really get used to the year 2023."
"The ground still seems a bit unstable…"
They break in and are preserved in amber again.
The lords are freed by robots in the year 2900. One lord spits on the ground in frustration.
A robot: " Beep-beep. You really can't act like a feudal lord in here."
Gustav looks angry, knocks the robot down, and the credits roll.
Okay so here's my idea It's 1899, and mysterious reports surface of criminals being found terrified in the dark alleys of New York, babbling about a vengeful shadow that knows their darkest sins. The Shadow, in his iconic red scarf and wide-brimmed hat, emerges as a gothic horror-tinged vigilante, using his powers to "cloud men's minds" and his network of agents to wage war against a secret society attempting to harness forbidden Victorian-era science to gain immortality.
This noir pulp action movie sets the tone for our universe, but the next film shifts gears dramatically: Doc Savage, Man of Bronze (1906). After discovering an ancient Mayan artifact during the construction of the Panama Canal, Doc and his Five Fantastic friends uncover a plot involving Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Riders being manipulated by a shadowy organization experimenting with a mysterious new element.
Additional hero films in the series could include:
It all culminates in Justice Incorporated (1912), where these pulp heroes must unite against a threat that spans continents: a cabal known as the network of silence begins manipulating the world into perpetual war with mechanical monstrosities powered by a level of mad science here too unknown madness. Each hero brings their unique skills – The Shadow's mysticism, Doc's science, The Rocketeer's aerial prowess, The Phantom's ancient knowledge, and more – to save a world on the brink of its first World War.
This is yourself general idea but I would love to see an entire Pope universe

A young vampire hunter arrives in a small town. They had heard rumours that the mayor was a vampire. When they confirm it, they realise that they are too heavily guarded, so decide to expose them. The thing is the town folk already know. They begin telling the hunter how they became mayor.
Years ago, a battle that was happening near by started spilling into the town. The mayor, who had already lived there for some time and was considered a local, exposed themselves as a vampire to protect the town. They weren't capable of saving everyone though. The previous mayor had died.
Despite knowing what they are, the townsfolk all agree that they only have the towns best interests at heart. So they made the vampire the mayor. They have have made a brilliant mayor, and have improved the town greatly. The only unusual thing they ask from the citizens is a donation of blood every so often.
The hunter is still not convinced, so the mayor takes them on a tour of the town, showing the hunter all that they have done to improve the town. Eventually they realise that this isn't a bad vampire, and leaves. When a hunter meets up with their vampire hunter friends, they tell them the rumours are false, that the mayor is human.

The only reason I used Germany and WW2 is for the chill title
My own Planet Of The Apes story
PLOT: The Apes and the Humans reluctantly form an unsteady alliance for survival when a seemingly unstoppable extinction-level event threatens to eradicate both species from the face of the Earth.
But as the movie progresses you realize the main character is actually descending into madness and genie is a figment of his imagination.
Kind of a spiritual sequel to night of the living dead (1966) or (1990) It takes place 22 years after the zombie outbreak. What remains of the US government is mostly in the New England states. But life in this the zones is very harsh, and so a group decides to basically smuggle themselves out of the zones and head towards Jamestown, Virginia, where they’re supposed to be a large cruise ship that was converted into a basically a refugee boat to sail out of Chesapeake Bay and sail north along the East Coast all the way to Iceland, where it’s reported that the undead are eradicated there for years.
Basically this chronicles the voyage of the former cruise ship “Eurydice” is mostly comprise of former navy members, sailors, former fisherman and the population of a large settlement that was overtaken by the undead in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Starting in July as they sale out of Chesapeake Bay, then ending with survivors arriving in Reykjavík,Iceland.
Basically, we see a post apocalypse zombie film from the ocean side. Not only that there were other ships like Eurydice they tried to fail across the Atlantic, but ended up either getting run aground or shattered along the rocky coastline. There are some pirates/marauders that just simply want to take anything from food, clothing, batteries, etc.
Basically imagine train to busan, the 90s remake of night of the living dead and The last ship. Into a film where I’m main characters have to deal with not only the undead, but also pirates marauder is an even human communities that are more Jim Jones than MSF.
Hi! I’m not a write and I’ve never posted here but I have always had the idea of having a horror movie scene where the main antagonist is a blind scary creature that can only track its enemies by sounds. In the scene there will be the main characters in maybe a warehouse or some type of dark cramped area. And there will be one stoner type of character that will be put in a position where they are unable to see because all of the lights are out and have to make it to an exit or a safe zone, but he/she doesn’t have a flashlight so what do they have to do? They have to take hits of a cart or disposable THC pen in order to see and slowly and cautiously make his way to the exit while ripping the cart for as long as possible. It would end probably with him being insanely high for majority of the film.
Again I am not a professional writer just always have thought this would be funny and new to see in horror films and was hoping it would happen some day
Logline: In a quiet suburban town, a group of toys come to life when no one is around, plotting a deadly scheme to take control over their household. They play dead during the day to avoid detection, only to come alive at night and unleash terror on anyone who threatens their rule.
Concept: Imagine Toy Story, but with a dark, sinister twist. In Play Dead, the toys aren’t innocent—they’re cunning and vengeful, hiding their real intentions from their owners. When no one’s around, they plot, scheme, and do whatever it takes to gain control over the household, avoiding detection by "playing dead" just in time to evade their human owners. What begins as minor mischief quickly escalates into a deadly game of cat and mouse, with the toys out for blood.
Plot: The story follows Lucas, a young boy who’s just moved into a new house with his family. Lonely and looking for company, he discovers a dusty box of old toys left behind by the previous family. At first, they seem ordinary and lifeless, but strange things start happening in the house—furniture moves, eerie laughter echoes in the night, and whispers come from the toybox.
The toys, led by a once-beloved ventriloquist dummy named Chester, harbor a deep resentment toward humans. Feeling abandoned and forgotten, they seek revenge. Chester, who was once the favorite, has turned from friendly toy to ruthless mastermind, leading the other toys in a sinister mission to take over the household. As Lucas uncovers the terrifying truth, he tries to warn his family, but no one believes him. Each night becomes a horrifying test of his wits and courage as he tries to outsmart the toys and survive.
Tone: This is a suspenseful, psychological thriller that leans into dark childhood nostalgia. Think Toy Story meets Child’s Play but with an eerie, suspenseful edge, capturing that creepy feeling of toys with minds of their own and an appetite for revenge.
Tagline: "When the lights go out, they come alive."
So the theme of the Scream movies has always been a love letter to horror films. People talking about scary movies, referencing them, etc. So I came up with a story set within the Scream universe that incorporates elements from different horror films.
A group of friends plan on partying on at their old, soon-to-be demolished summer camp on Halloween night. One of the friends (Alex) says he can't make it because he's scheduled to work at the movie theater. The rest of the gang get ready for the party. There was a news broadcast earlier in the week that a mental patient has escaped from a local psych ward. One of the friends steals his dad's pistol before leaving for the party.
At the camp, the friends get drunk and smoke weed. They reminisce about their summers at the camp, and the conversation changes to why the camp was being shut down (a boy nearly drowned in the lake and the camp owners were sued). One friend claims the mental patient is actually the boy who almost drowned and he's on his way to the camp to get revenge. The friends laugh until they hear a noise coming from one of the bunks.
Someone dressed as Ghostface and wielding a knife runs out and charges at them. The guy with the pistol pulls it out and quickly shoots Ghostface in the head. Panicking, the friends pull off the mask. It's Alex. He lied about working that night so he could prank his friends. The friends panic even more and eventually decide to bury him in the woods. They vow to never tell anyone what happened.
Not long after, someone dressed in a black hoodie, black cargo pants and a dirty Ghostface mask begins stalking the friends. They begin getting killed off in gruesome ways. This Ghostface isn't like the others. He's faster. He's stronger. He doesn't trip over his own shadow. And he wears a bulletproof vest with a police style bodycam.
The last two characters left are the guy who shot Alex, and a girl who was the only one willing to turn herself in. Ghostface lets her go and takes Alex's killer to the theater where Alex worked and tapes him to a seat.
The killer is revealed to be Alex's coworker from the movie theater. They bonded over their love of horror films, and were even writing a "Stab" script together. He was hiding in the trees at the camp to record the prank, when the friend suddenly shot Alex. He recorded all of his kills and spliced them and the video of Alex together to make their "Stab" film. All of the kills in the movie, were based on the kills from their script. "Poetic justice", as the new Ghostface puts it. As the "movie" plays on the screen, he douses the friend in lighter fluid, sets him ablaze, and walks outside. His car is parked on the hill overlooking the building and the drive-in screen. He pulls out a Buck 120 knife, and slits his own throat as the building burns.
The Final Girl goes to the police and confesses. After a while, as she's being escorted by police into the courthouse, the mother of the guy who shot Alex runs up on her and shoots FG in the head with the same gun her son used to kill Alex.
End.
