Been thru the manual and over to modwiggler but still don’t have a satisfactory answer. Sending a 5V signal to the run/stop patch point does start and stop (@0V) the sequencer. However nothing comes out of the VCA out, no sound from the audio out and no trigger signal from the trigger out. I do get CV from Pitch and Velocity outs. It seems like the run/stop should be really handy. However it seems lame. Am I missing something?
hello, is it possible to set up a granny that it responds to start/stop signals via midi? the arp and/or sequencer never stop. they‘re synced, but nothing more. checked the manual and it should react. thanks!
Just picked this up at perfect circuit and they told me they were pretty sure it was made in Asheville, but the box clearly is labeled otherwise. Any cause for concern quality control-wise? I understand the company purchase has effected manufacturing.
Just got a matriarch and looking for patches. Trying to get a bit of a collection together. I've got them from the Moog site and considering the Anton anru bundle. Has anyone got this already and is it worth it? Can anyone recommend any other places? Thanks.
I'm into Doom/Stoner/70s sounds (inc. 70s/80s Doctor Who sound effects) and looking to get my first moog. Very little Keys experience but look to mostly generate soundscapes for songs.
Which is better suited & why?
I started off hating modular but now it’s my favorite thing ever. I might be a moog maximalist lmao This is sequenced with an akai mpc 2500
If you want to watch the full set I can share the link in your dm or in the comments!
I recently got my first Moog synth with the very budget conscious Mavis. Perhaps a little too budget -- because the knobs are ridiculous. I see that Moog has a kit for the knobs which is pretty much out of stock everywhere.
Does anyone have recommendations for other knob replacements on this synth? I kinda like the tone on it, and it has a pretty decent filter, but using the microscopic knobs is making the user experience garbage for me.
Blending soft layers, filled with textures and character
I’ve been having this issue for a while. The synth is fine on its own but it holds a note then freezes after a few minutes of usb. Has anyone else had this problem? I’m worried to try for a factory reset or software update because Moog support is gone and I’d rather have a sick standalone synth over full brick.
Anyone else experience not getting any output from the oscilator on their m32?
Occasionally I'll power it up and get no output from the osc, noise works fine.
Usually power cycling fixes it, but it's become more and more of an issue lately.
Although I don't have much experience with full modular gear, I love learning about patching via the Matriarch and Grandmother. Recently for a school-project I'm plunging into the realm of mycelial CV for synths. Would there be any trepidations or issues with attempting this?
Hey all. Got the sub37 2 years back and have never had any issues until this week when it randomly just went out. No sound when you press on the keys and some of the buttons on the left side (like everything under the ARP section) won't work. I'm in LA where they cut power during the fires so not sure if it was during that or just something unrelated. Did the firmware and nothing's changed. I was going to do a factory reset but I'd hate to lose the patches I've created, but if there's anything else I should do before trying that (and ultimately hitting up Moog if that doesn't work) then I'd really appreciate any guidance or help
Pitch bend on my muse is dead it sends pitch Bend by midi but none of the internal sounds respond to pitch bend from the bender or midi. Also usb midi does not receive midi - works for os update but will not receive midi ! I have tested it with 1.2 and 1.3 os and same result. Anyone know if there is a total factory reset option ?
I realize this may come off as blasphemous to most Moog users, but in my case, I'm rather needing some quick cash to pay off some recently acquired medical expenses.
I've currently got a Mother-32, DFAM with a DFAM Thing, Grandmother Dark, Werkstatt with CV expander, and the Mavis.
Here's where the blasphemy comes in: what if I were to sell the Mother-32 and DFAM/DFAM thing and replace them with the (shudder...) Behringer versions? I plan to definitely keep the Grandmother as well as the Werkstatt and the Mavis.
Has anyone used the Behr versions of these in combination with the Grandmother/others? Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance!
What started off as a joke, ended up becoming a 5 song ep.
I made an (unofficial obviously) sequel to mort garson's "mother earth's plantasia", an album I hold very close to my heart.
Multi tracked on a tascam model 24 with a grandmother and casio ct-6000 (for the dusty analog drum machine). Recorded from june - sept 2024.
Hi! I'm using ableton, and have MIDI in and out connected to the GM. It records notes just fine, but the pitch wheel do not get recorded, and I can't figure out how to automate it. Does anyone know if it's possible to do it?
In the South East UK and my heart is telling me to consider busting my hump for a Moog One. I gig every weekend but won’t use it live obviously. It’s for my studio and production.
I suspect such a Halo synth could be a great thing to have, if only for a while.
My head however is telling me no. That if I want real power the answer might just as easily rest in layering different polyphonic synths.
Would love to know what people think.
I wanted to install my Mother-32, DFAM and Subharmonicon into the Behringer Eurorack Go but I didn’t want to lose each modules 1/4 instrument output. Does anyone know if there is a module that can connect to each modules instrument output? I currently run reach module into my mixing board and I want to case everything but don’t want to have to rely solely on the VCA as my only output.
Hello, my Moog Grandmother sequencer keys and pitch/mod wheels are not working. Only the play button lights up. The oscillator octaves cannot be changed either. I tried reinstalling the firmware and tried reconnecting the ribbon cable. Does anyone know how to solve this? I appreciate any help
My Muse was just delivered yesterday. I’ve barely started digging into it but have already noticed a handful of squeaky keys. It’s almost like the spring on them is too taught or something.
This isn’t my first Moog, and I haven’t had this issue with any other keybeds. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did it stop over time? I’m wondering if I need to replace it, but I’m also wondering if this is symptomatic of Moog no longer being manufactured in the US.
