Anyone tried to reload the OS on 1 of these and set it up with xmrig? I got 1 for free and figured I would try it out. Great cooling case and double intel chips.

i was in the process of walking my overclock speeds up with my 3700x. now it won't boot and the MoBo led says "0d". I had it up to 9400 hashes. Resetting the CMOS doesn't fix the error. Is my shit dead?

I've been on minerstat and other sites looking for pools. But they all seem to be not working or at least I can't connect to any of the sites.. My favorite pool was always monero ocean.

Nanopool (XMR) hasrate usually oscillates sinusoidal throughout the day (like on the left end of the plot. But today (first time) I noticed a strange rippling on top of the usual curve shown in the right end. I noticed this because in the last few hours the change in my XMR balance seemed irregular to me even though my net hashrate was more or less the same with the same number of online workers.

Does anyone have know why this is happening or have any insights on the strange pool behaviour?

It seems like p2pool just steals your shares and redirects them to other people. Has anyone investigated this?

So basically, i have an i5 gen 11 and my gtx1650, but I don’t usually mine with it. All this on my laptop(the gaming type) I don’t pay for electricity also. I have been on supportxmr for some time, I have about 0.00024805xmr in it, I usually do 3.5-4.6K hash per sec. Should I stop mining or do I change pools? Or do I need to overclock something? I also use my laptop for normal basis also.

I have a laptop with a i9-13950HX and and RTX 4080. Is it worth mining Monero with this?

I just started getting into mining and so far I’ve allegedly received 1 payout for about .0005 xmr. I’m using Gupax running p2pool mini and xmrig.

It’s been about 11 hrs at the time of posting since this payout and I have yet to see anything in my wallet. According to the observer the transaction has over 300 confirmations….am I missing something? Is it not paid directly to my wallet? Do I have to wait for something else? Any advice or clarity is greatly appreciated :)

I have an ASUS b550f with a 5950x. I've recently gotten into some new games and I only want to mine on the cores I'm not using and specifically I want to use the first four cores for gaming and the other cores for mining. Specifically, I want to use PBO on the first 4 cores and have the rest set to manually mining. What I've tried so far:

1.) open gupax file location, edit json rx to

"rx": [4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31],

That didn't work, so I added this line under the CPU:

That also didn't work. I manually set the PBO curve optimizer in BIOS for first 4 cores to -15 and remaining cores to +15 in the bios... and they are still all running the same frequency :/

Or if someone has a better way for I'm all ears. I'm tired of banging my head against the wall on this. plz help :/

I have a dual Xeon machine I was getting 4/5k H/s on for an extended time with Gupax I tried using XMRig alone configured to my local node and I am getting 13k H/s for the last two days Why would using Gupax cut my rate so drastically?

Since have started p2pool i haven't received single Rewards and this shit show up and also there is message "couldn't download block headgear something " are this problem have solutions or should I just leave.

I'm gonna punch my monitor soon! I use xmrig for mining Monero. I removed my config from `.config` and `/usr/bin/` folders, but it's still somewhere!

When I launch xmrig, it uses that config I set up initially! HOW?? Where it could be????????

So i cant reach their website on any of my devices even with my phone data. I tried to find some of their social media but didnt succed and havent found any updates on their website. Also if you go to like top mining pool websites it will say api error besides Hashvault.

This is day one on starting to get into mining. What should be my step? This is just extra laptops I have. Have not invested any thing.

My computer gets about 3kH/s with xmrig, so what would be the better choice for me: P2Pool or Moneroocean? I've been mining on P2Pool for a few days now but not received a share

Throwaway because people I know in real life know my normal reddit username. A little over a year ago, things were going great, I had a nice IT job and that is when I started getting interested in Monero. I had built a custom AMD Epyc 9654 mining rig to mine with and was really happy with how it turned out, getting about 90k/h.

Almost 5 months ago my position was eliminated. I thought no big deal, I can find another job in weeks and I had some spare savings. Boy was I wrong. The day I dropped off my equipment and cleaned out my desk was the day I started applying to positions and it seemed like every job I applied to had over 100 applicants. I have gotten callbacks but they drag out the interview process and I do 3-5 interviews just to find out they gave the job to someone else. I am still applying and am hoping I find something soon.

In the meantime I started my own business making and selling a tech related product that uses my skill set and started selling it on amazon, and that has been a great experience. It started out slow and has been growing but the sales aren't much (about $1300 last month).

But to be honest, I am stressed beyond belief. I managed to rack up about 15k in debt from bills, business venture, medical. 2 months ago I sold my 9654 rig for a steal because I needed the money. I also atomic swapped all my monero for btc and then sold that because I needed the money.

I was managing my credit card debt but then my autopay got resumed after 3 months and tried to charge the entire statement balance (which I do not have) and the bank and CC company both said they couldn't do anything about it even though I had never missed one of my monthly payments, I was assured that it just needed to bounce 3 times and that I could go back to paying it over time. That was a lie. Once it got rejected then Amex closed my entire account.

Its crazy how in such a short amount of time life can be flipped upside down. I am hopeful for the future and I am sure I can find a job at the start of the new year, and hopefully the business takes off. I am running out of possessions to sell in the meantime and I have 5 days to get about $900 to cover my bills and to avoid going to collections.

Its 10:00 am right now and I still haven't slept because I don't know what to do and I thought sharing this here could get some of this off my chest.

Also if anyone knows anyone in need of a highly motivated and desperate network engineer then also please reach out.

I hope one day I can be in a better place and start building rigs again and supporting the network.

i live in middle east and its a bit hotter than elsewhere in the world(summer, air is 44c in its highest, winter its 10c usually) and im questioning whether a good cooler will improve my cpu's age and should i use water coolers? if yes what size it should be

and also does it actually matter if i buy a foreign made 120$ water cooler or a random locally made cooler with lower quality but hardly 40 to 60$ price tag

Hi guys so as my title says im venturing into mining xmr mainly using end devices that are not in use/standby. Some short questions: what exactly do these share numbers mean, how do they convert to xmr and will a pool pay me out automatically? And when?

If i use more than 1 device can I go and mine in the same pools w the same wallet adress as user name? And what pools would you all recommend for EU user beginning to mine?
