Hi. I live in West Palm but drove down to Miami to fly out to see some family out west. My car is parked on the first floor of the Miami airport and will be there during Milton.
My question is: is it likely my car will flood during Milton? I know Miami is prone to flooding but I don’t know if the airport usually floods a significant amount.
I was on work trip to Miami and can get $60 reimbursed for dinner, but forgot to get a receipt last night. Can someone DM me the copy of a dinner receipt from the Miami area from last night? Thanks so much!
We have a project where we need a raspberry pi 4/5, and yes, on a Sunday. Is there any locals out there who know of a store which can help us with that? we could do it on monday also but things would be tight regarding time etc.
I hope this post isnt too specific for the sub.
I've noticed that the average person talks about Katrina and Wilma as if they were 1-2 weeks apart when in reality they were 6 weeks apart. The names alone give this away... K -> W. Why do you think this is?
I notice that on some of the dispensaries it says 'recreational' but thought medical dispensaries are the only type to operate in FL can somebody please give me some insight.
Locals who never get a day off finally off on a Saturday but it’s not sunny enough for the beach. We just paid rent so no money for crazy things, we would’ve loved to visit the frost again for example.. any suggestions on cute things for us to do that would require little to no money? We have wheels this weekend so location not really an issue! TIA

Heading to Miami March 9-13. Is a heated pool mandatory? Would it be too cold to swim without?
good morning everybody! I’m wondering if anybody knows a good place to get your eyebrows threaded. preferably closer to the coral Gables/Kendall area. thank you so much.
Looking at a rental near there and curious about the experience.
Hi everyone, I’d like to ask for some advice. I graduated with a marketing degree in Venezuela, but I don’t have any experience working in companies. However, I do have knowledge about social media. I’m currently living in Miami and would love to know how I can start getting into the marketing world here, considering I don’t have professional experience yet. What would you recommend I do to gain experience or land an opportunity in this field? Thanks in advance!
Is anyone aware of any Hurricane Helene supply drives or other relief efforts going on in Miami.
Hi everyone!
I’ll be in Miami from November 13th to 16th to attend the Latin Grammys. I've been to Miami before, but I haven’t rented a car there yet.
What rental options would you recommend? I’m not sure if I should go with a regular company like Hertz or try something like Turo. Also, do you know how much they usually ask for as a security deposit when choosing full coverage insurance?
I also wanted to know if I need an international driving permit, or if I can rent with my Mexican driver's license.
Thanks!
Okay, so I’ve been to a few cell phone lots at different airports, and Miami International is honestly the worst. There aren’t even portable restrooms, and the lot is tiny compared to the number of people the airport serves. It’s basically just two rows of cars, and turning around at the end of the “lot” is ridiculously narrow.
Sure, it’s only a couple minutes from the arrivals level, which is convenient, but if the lot were better, maybe people wouldn’t be stopping all over the access roads to wait for their pickups. Some airports, like Austin, have full-on gas stations, bathrooms, and even fast food options at their cell phone lots, which makes way more sense.
Does anyone have a better spot to wait that’s like 5-10 minutes from the airport?
Anyone else just heard multiple gunshots (like coming from a moving car) in the Brickell area?
Recently move from Seattle and have never had this happen until I moved here. I get people using others identities to make money, but to not even show up in the correct vehicle?! Like, what? I feel like as a female I shouldn’t even get into the vehicle. I would feel bad reporting the person, but this could be a dangerous position to be put in. Has anyone else experienced this/what do you do in this situation?
Anyone here have homeowners insurance through Florida Farm Bureau? If so, do you recommend them and were they the cheapest to go with?
Hey everyone, I'm currently planning a move from Pittsburgh to downtown Miami. One of my favorite hobbies is rock climbing. I know that outdoor rock climbing is basically non-existent in South Florida, but can anyone tell me how the gyms are in the area? How is Central Rock Gym and how is Velocity? It would really give me some peace of mind to know what to expect. Thank you!
I have been friends with a lot of guys over the years and I find myself asking were they really my friends did they ever like me?
