Hello,
as title I'm doing a AM D114-only playthrough, but need ideas on how to deal with stronger enemies.
For stronger enemies I mean, tanks, helicopters, skulls etc etc Basically, everything that isn't a simple mob.
I allowed myself to use consumables (granades etc...)
Keep in mind that it has to be LOUD only solution.
I know it's a crazy idea, but I hope someone can give me ideas.
I'm polishing off mission tasks/S ranks and the last one is 40, Cloaked in Silence Extreme. I've looked up all the strats on youtube, and there are two I'm having trouble executing.
The one I'm posting about is, whenever I get under the arch with Quiet on it, I want to toss a Stun Grenade up there but Snake wants to throw it from roughly two feet beneath the earth which means the grenade won't make it up onto the arch. This is the video I'm using as a guide.
I've also tried the cqc loop but I need to get gud before I can pull that one off. So I wanted to ask if there's some way I can get a reasonable arc on my stun grenade.
Edit: Okay, I'm dumb. All you have to do is hold down the right trigger (throw) button and you get a better arc, release to throw. Derp.
Is sleeping gas fire support considered a firearm attack? I'm not getting credit for that mission task. Is she getting hit directly with shells and that's fucking it up?
Further Edit: Finally got it done with a combo of stun grenades and CQC. Run up on her, lob a stun grenade from 30+ meters away. She'll run away, rather than leap and you can follow her and get a cqc off before she gets a shot off. Helps to learn where she goes given whatever route you use to get close. The trick is just getting close enough to her to get the grenade off without her deciding to move for no fucking reason.
Title says it all the game freezes the moment it comes to that screen and i cant do anything
Is there any information out there how the Staff Rank Bonus is calculated? I have been noting down some changes of Staff Rank Bonus before and after obtaining a medal, so my theory for now is that the Staff Rank Bonus is calculated from the 1-512 Staff Rank in each of the 6 categories (combat, R&D and so on).A google search didn't yield results, so is anyone aware if this is known?
I have queued up a match in mgo but i haven’t been able to find a match.
I’m in Europe and i guess that is why there isn’t much players online.
Is the online dead for mgsv or do i have to try another time
Hi, so after leaving the game and rebooting it while being on motherbase, i just couldn't leave.
if i want to call a chopper, it just doesn't show landing zones.
Another thing i noticed is that, it doesn't seem like there is anyone on motherbase, no guards, no vehicules, but AA and other guns are present.
I downloaded MGSV on my laptop and I normally play games like these with a controller but for some reason, it doesn’t detect my PS4 controller.
Btw, I have it hooked up by USB because it doesn’t connect to bluetooth sometimes.
Started a new save on my steamdeck and an not type anything at all for my name, I've restarted the game 3 times now and still nothing
Windows 11 pro Phantom pain/steam 24 core dual xeon e-2690 v3 128 gb ECC ram 3080 10gb Game is installed on an SSD
I have tried every setting high and low. I have tried the "variable" frame rate trick. Every other game runs super smooth. Just this one runs like crap. I am out of ideas. I tried re-verifying the files, installed on a different SSD. I don't know what else I can do. Is this a windows 11 thing?
(I think it is mission 14...) Problem is that I've been trying to get all mission tasks and the one that is always failing is the one in where you have to extract a materials container from the outpost, where the two hostages are. But from some reason it doesn't seem to work, when I extract the container nothing happens and doesn't complete the task, any suggestions? (And I can't retry immediately after cuz they don't respawn after a while)
Hi I’m trying to complete mission 12. I am able to get into the facility easily and extract the scientist. My issue is that I can’t seem to get rid of the giant robot. I looked online and saw a lot of people either going on foot, horse or by truck. My issue is that somehow I am always being attacked even if I’m hiding behind the rocks. Is there any other method that worked for you?
I've never played a Kojima or Metal Gear game. I got MGSV on steam sale back in 2021. I tried to play the game twice over the years but the cutscene & the game menus are terrible to use so I never play past the first outpost clearing. Recently I saw a video on YouTube about how great this game is so I am giving this another try. Could someone tell me how am I supposed to play this game in terms of other games? I hope this is the right place to ask questions about this game.
was rewatching MI:3 and noticed a lot of similarities between ground zeroes and the opening sequence of the movie. From the aesthetics to the lens flare and the mission itself, rescuing a woman from captivity, it is revealed she has a bomb inside her during a helicopter chase, the helicopter chase itself. seems wild I didn't notice it before.
