I need help replacing fav lipstick 💄(Kat Von D's Studded Kiss Creme in "Cathedral")

I have had my tube of Cathedral for a looooong time, since before things got weird (I just found out about all of that when I googled the lipstick to get more!) Well, it's finally nearly gone and I'm finding out I can't get it anymore unless I want to spend $75 for one that's been already swatched. I simply can't afford that!

I looked at some dupes, but my results were coming up 5-10 years old, because I'm using the old names and don't know what to type in to get the results I need.

I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out which new shade compares best when I look at the list on KVD. "Cathedral" isn't listed with a new shade! I've been having trouble even trying to determine the difference between certain shades, because that's just not my strong suit!! The dupes I'm finding seem a little too... Orange? Or just not purple-y enough? 🧐

I'm hoping that someone has found a really good dupe by now and knows what I'm talking about, even though all these shades are old news!! Or maybe someone can help me figure out which new shade is closest to "Cathedral". It's described as "a medium-dark plum with warm undertones and a satin finish". Idk how to shop for makeup; I just know what looks good on me... Please help me find something similar that isn't too orange or red! Thanks so much 🙏

Favorite Indie Brands?

Hey guys! Tbh im a little tired of the brands Sephora and ulta carry so I want to buy from some indie brands, but I don’t know where to look.

At the moment I’m ISO duo/multi chrome eyeshadows, colorful eyeshadows, cool toned contour and base products, and a very fair/white foundation. But in general I’m just looking for brands doing something a little different and exciting.

cc/bb creams for oily skin recommendations

hii, i’m looking for medium to high coverage but natural looking bb/cc creams for oily acne prone skin! it doesn’t have to be drugstore but i’d prefer that, i just want something that i would be able to wear daily and to cover my acne scars and pimples

On the hunt for cream/liquid bronzer

I’m just realizing I don’t love the Makeup by Mario Skin Enhancer, which I’ve been using as a bronzer. I love the look of it but after using it for a year, I’m starting to not like how it holds up. I find that after several hours of wear, it’s one of the only parts of my makeup that disintegrates. I feel like it sits on my skin, no matter what. I like the rest of my routine and it holds up great. I use either the Hourglass powder bronzer or Fenty powder bronzer on top.

I have medium-tan skin. My perfect shade is Armani LS 6.5, which I often pump a bit of shade 6 into. I use medium dark in the Skin Enhancer, mainly because it doesn’t pull as warm as shade medium. I use Island Ting in the Fenty bronzer, which I love.

Wedding day makeup

I’m looking for some help with wedding-day makeup that truly lasts. I’m turning 36 and have combination skin, so finding the right products can be a bit tricky. Right now, I’m using Seint cream makeup, but it tends to get oily, doesn’t stay in place, and sometimes transfers. I’m open to suggestions for other brands or types of makeup—whether liquid, powder, or cream—that might provide smooth, flawless coverage and hold up all day. Any recommendations on primers, setting sprays, or powders that work well with combination skin would be amazing. Thanks so much for any advice!

Help! What is my undertone?! (Mixed ethnicity)

I have spent HOURS trying to figure out my undertone, swatching foundations, useless apps… years ago I just assumed tan skin = warm and struggled with foundation matches. Orange/red lipstick looks terrible on me but bluey reds look good so I thought maybe I was neutral to cool but argh, I don’t know!! Anyone got a super talent at figuring out undertones?!

I can’t figure out how to get my eyeshadow to be pigmented and show up on camera

It looks great in person but on camera it looks washed out and basically like nothing is there. If I do it heavier irl, it just looks unblended and patchy. What am I doing wrong?

How can I improve my daily makeup? Any makeup styles that suit me?

I’m not so sure what I could do to improve my daily makeup for school, I like to keep it light by not using liquid eyeliner and sometimes mascara because I can be quite lazy to do more with my makeup😭 I quite like Thai makeup as I’m half southeast Asian but I think I’d save that for looks where I’m not being light.

If you can please recommend me products and shade names😭I also think my eyebrows could do some improvement but I don’t know what I could do
