How could I make my eyes look more refined?

These are my eyes with no makeup on. The few times I tried makeup on them it didn’t work. Even mascara looks bad on my lashes.

How can I improve their appearance? I find makeup often helps to give a more stylish and refined look to the eyes and that’s what I seek.

Thank you

what would you recommend to me?

english is not my primary language so sorry if this sounds weird, lol.

i've never really liked wearing makeup, mainly because i spent many years, my pre-teens, teens, and early twenties, suffering from a pretty bad case of acne, where absolutely no product worked for me, then, from one moment to the next, i stopped having acne, and i started wearing makeup, i even started to enjoy it, but after a few months, i don't really know what happened, i stopped enjoying it, i don't like how it feels on my skin, i don't like how it looks, it makes me feel overstimulated too, i know it must be partly because of the image i have of myself, but i also wonder if maybe it's also because of the kind of makeup i currently use, almost at the same time that i stopped enjoying makeup, i moved to a new country, so i no longer have access to the makeup products i used to use. however, it is worth noting that it wasn't exactly at the same time that i stopped enjoying makeup, i changed products and still felt comfortable with makeup and with myself, but from one moment to the next, i no longer feel that way, despite using the same products.

i just want to hear about other experiences and see if anyone can recommend anything that would work for me because i really would like to continue wearing makeup. 😔

Beginner makeup journey

I wear basics.. foundation, some eyebrow gel, mascara, lipgloss, maybe some blush. Which of my features should I be playing up, what colors would be best for me to use for eyes/lips/blush? Also maybe some recommendations on YouTube channels that could teach me how to play up some of my features while maintaining a natural look.

Maybe hard to tell but my eyes are grey and a little blue.

Trying out different eyeliner and lips

I'm a diehard black liner lover, but is often too harsh in the daytime. I look terrible with light colored liner (white, nudes, etc) with my dark eyes, so tried out a grey-blue liner in my waterline instead. Also got a purple-ish lip stain from Peripera I wanted to try out after some recommendations on my old post for lip color suggestions. I'm not sold on it just yet, but maybe once I get a liner closer in or slightly darker than the lipcolor, I may like it better. I hate the stickiness of many glosses, so usually just use my Burts Bees lip balm. Any suggestions for a non sticky gloss or oil without glitters?

R.E.M Beauty X Wicked Galinda Set

Hiii!! I'm Chrissy (24F) and I'm not new to makeup, and thought I'd share my experience with the new Wicked Galinda set!

The blush... I love so so much, the colour, the blendability (I used a dense foundation brush and tapped all around), the buildability, and the creaminess?? It stayed "wet" long enough for me to blend out pretty sheer to start out with and build on to my preference. I love blush, I love the rosy strawberry look.

The liquid eye shimmer... I think I applied it wrong. I applied it with the applicator and used a finger to tap it in. It took off my concealer base and was very, very, VERY literally wet. It's really pretty, but it is so wet, I think I need to use an eyeshadow brush next time?? I put the Ulta white shimmer powder eyeshadow on top of it with a fluffy brush to add more shimmer and to hide my eyelid veins.

The eyeliner... I found it to be very chalky and dry, it didn't scratch my eye line, but I did find it uncomfy to apply. It is just DRY. It did apply, but I think you can see it overlaps where I tried to fill in the gaps. It's a pretty blue, I love light blue in jeans, but I think with my eyecolour a dark purple would look better than light blue??

The lipstick... I like it a lot! I dare say love, but I'm not used to seeing me in metallic lipsticks. I'm more of a glossy or creamy gal than anything else, I used to be into matte in like 2016, but I need moisture!! My lips do feel a little tingy like a plumping agent almost, but I think that might be the metallic texture? It's a really cute pink, I love to use the NYX Buttermelt Blush in For The Butta on my lips with a finger and use a clear gloss like MAC or sheer pink like Maybelline Lifter Gloss with Hyaluronic Acid in ICE. I really like the gold shimmer in the lipstick. The metallic look reminds me of the 90s dark raisin brown lipsticks. My grandma used to wear those a lot when I was a kid, so that's really nice!

All in all, I think I'll play with the liquid eye shimmer a bit more, gonna try it with a brush next time, and might give my bestie the eyeliner. She has bluey-greeny eyes, I think that will look better on her than me.

Thanks a bunch for reading my first makeup review and big post on Reddit ♥ ♥ ♥

Makeup Wedding

Posting this here to ask for feedback. I will be wearing the exact same glasses on my wedding day, so that’s why I didn’t take them off. What do you think? The vibe I was going for was soft classic.

Setting my makeup

What order do you guys set your face? Do you put on powder, then spray a setting spray or do you do it reversed? I am wondering because my makeup no matter the order, usually ends up becoming oily and easily transferable. And if you guys have any recommendations for setting powder, please lmk !! :)

Grungy, Cool Toned lip

I have very fair skin (cool toned) & new to using lip liner but I grabbed the liners Gone Greige from Maybelline & Fierce Flirt from NYX. I like the shades on myself a lot. I have been struggling to find other cool toned liners that aren't pink or warm toned, I prefer more grey/greige tones. I'm looking for grungy suggestions for lip liner & liquid lipstick/gloss to pair with it!
