Hey what up, band based in NYC. Looking for a drummer who wants play aggressive punk rock. If interested hmu.
Last year, I saw a clip of Pete Davidson on the Tonight Show where he mentioned he started taking singing lessons. He said it was because he thought it’d be cool to know how to sing really well and just casually shock his friends one day by singing a song amazingly out of nowhere. Ever since then I've had that idea in the back of my mind. Like wouldn't it be funny if you absolutely nailed a song while driving around with someone or at a karaoke night with friends.
So I decided to make that my new years resolution this year. Obviously I don't have thousands to spend on a vocal coach like Pete Davidson so I started out watching YouTube tutorials. Then I found this course put together by Melanie Alexander (melaniealexander.com here's the link to save you from searching for it). If you don't know who that is I don't blame you because I didn't either. She was in a girl band in the 90s and had a couple albums that went platinum. It seemed like she had the credentials so I went ahead and bought it, it was only $67 so I wasn't expecting the world.
The lessons have been helpful so far but the main reason I bought her course was because of the apps that came with it. One of the apps included interactive lessons and allowed you to practice tracks. The other was the most helpful though. It lets you test your vocal range and practice notes which is helping me work out where I'm going wrong.
I feel like I'm slowly improving and I'm contemplating starting a channel to post either progress videos or cover songs. I'm not quite confident enough to do that yet though lol but stay tuned because this post is a part 1. I'll post an update in a month or so when I feel like I'm good enough to actually put something out there to be judged.
Hello! My name's Jack. I'm a producer, composer, songwriter kinda and I want to work with other talented musicians.
Finding people to collab with is hard so I just want to be upfront about this. Please only respond if you are not a beginner and you have good equipment because this whole thing would just be use sending files around. Me personally, I am 17 and have been producing nonstop since I was eleven. I have released a few albums one my own, some better than others, but I've realized I get really inspired and work really fast when I collaborate with people. My favorite genres are hiphop, hyperpop, some edm, pop music from like the 20's to the 70's, and a few others. I'm honestly just doing this to see if it works and we can make stuff that I (and you) feel passionate about.
If you are interested, feel free to ask questions and if you decide you want to participate, dm me a page with your music, or a portfolio or something. Your best chance of fitting into this would be if you are a producer, singer, or rapper, but if you are like a songwriter or something else im open to it.
Here's my latest album: https://open.spotify.com/album/23Wwzb0hLPC8BLyTmSPJPy?si=TDxNfyPNTPKyCuBCa47LCQ
If you think it's good that's cool but honestly I know I have it in me to make something way better than that. I've improved a lot since working on that. My main inspiration for starting this group is BROCKHAMPTON, but I sound-wise, I just wanna make stuff I like.
Anyway preferably anyone who wants to join is a college-student or that age range. Thanks for reading this.
Heyy calling all fellow kit drummers 18 or older in the Northeastern Region of the United States (Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont)! If you have 5 minutes or less to spare, could you please fill out this survey for my AP Research project? https://forms.gle/65mUZKRvSuqoNoRv6 It will investigate the factors that influenced your decision to drum and correlate it with the passion you currently feel for drumming. Thank you for your time!
Yoo what up, I’ve been playing bass for about 6 months, and have some experience in playing in a band. Heavily influenced by all kinds of punk music from hardcore to post punk. If you’re interested lmk.
Hey everyone! I'm a transmasc deathcore vocalist (31/any pronouns) in Portland Oregon looking for metal musicians to make an all trans/queer deathcore band. You don't need to live around here as long as we can meet over zoom or discord to discuss music and maybe share some neat memes.
I don't see a lot of rep for us in the Core Community and it's high time we shine especially in this day and age. Don't let the world burn you down. We're here, we're queer, so deal with it B)
Hey everybody, I (27M) have been writing/recording solo bedroom indie/folk tunes for a long while now, but I’d love to get a slow dreamy sometimes heavy & noisy electric guitar-based group going.
I live in North Jersey not too far from NYC, & it’d be cool if we could practice/write in-person, but I’d be totally down for fully online collaborations, too.
Some of my main inspirations at the moment: Bedhead, Bluetile Lounge, Codeine, Computer Dating, Galaxie 500, Horse Jumper of Love, Indian Summer, Low, Lowercase, Moss Icon, Red House Painters, Seam, Slint, Strictly Ballroom, Swirlies, Yo La Tengo
Please reach out if you’re into any of those groups and might want to collab. All instruments, even those not typically associated with rock music, are welcome. I’m not an exceptional player by any means, so I won’t care if you aren’t too experienced or skilled, either. Thanks!
Title pretty much speaks for itself, m18 out of bc Canada just looking for a guitarist who wants to record a couple solos/lead parts to a few songs I’m working on as I’m not the best on electric guitar. As of right now if you’re interested I’ll send the work tapes over and if they kind of fit with your style hit me up, I’m kinda broke right now but if I like the style we can negotiate a price
We are from the Brockton area, we haven't fleshed out our style yet, but we want to sound like early Slipknot (MFKR, Self-titled, Iowa). We are all out of school, and our ages are 16-18, and we would prefer if your also a similar age.
IF YOU ARE A VOCALIST:
We are currently seeking a harsh vocalist who sounds like Justin Bonitz, we haven't completely decided on a vocal sound yet. An ability we want our vocalist to have is being able to hype a crowd no matter how big or small, being a great frontman is crucial to being part of our band.
IF YOU ARE A GUITARIST:
We want a two guitar players, but we are searching for either a Rhythm or Lead, we think we are going to play in either Drop B or Drop A. Some ability we want our guitarist be able to do are Touch & Pinch Harmonics, Hammer-ons & Pull offs, Tapping, Palm Muting & Chugs, Bends, Upwards Scrapes & Pick Scrapes.
If you are interested you can friend 'xaquar' on Discord and I'll add you to a group chat with the rest of the members!
30 y/o Guitarist turned composer looking to make a band that might beeak the internet. Black/British with deep love for African/African-American vocals but tempted to say I love and draw vocal and instrumental inspiration mainly from vast isms of hard rock, ranges of metal, prog, grunge, 80s to early 2000s indie, funk, flamenco -- seriously you name it.
I have a studio in London, Manchester and Glasgow that I kitted out and then dialed back over the years to focus on the playing and writing aspect more. I think in bare bone essentials for the sake of rocking up to shows and having "And now all that's left to do is play and wow them". Admittedly I'm more into the old skool way of tracking; just consistent with minimal copy/cut pasting bt understand the appeal for quick turnovers - I just enjoy the repetition for the sake of locking in the groove consistently.
Looking to make music with friends turned family but that bond and connection will take time to build and deepen so I'm casting a line and seeing who wants to get busy. In terms of numbers - I don't mind at all. Vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers, producers, hmu. It's really about finding a sound more than it is finding the talents. If you're technically brilliant then great, but please know I'm really pursuing a sonic profile that we can collectively latch onto and build from. I won't submit any demos now since I've wiped the skate clean and wish to build an audio-visual experience from scratch with some music-child weirdoes and creative renegades.
I think for the sake of availability, anyone above 33 will struggle to find the time but younger than that, go ahead! Your music background being different is a bonus my opinion, as I want to unlock an intangible mesh of genres that for some mad reason, pleases the ears to no end. You can be from anywhere in the world, so long as you are willing to commit to shows at a near point in the future. I'll be pushing for funding in the meantime, both for shows and visuals (I work in film and TV too amd own my own cameras, lighting and have content clients that help me out thanks to good working relationships).
If you've been second-guessing yourself, or looking for a beautiful challenge then get in touch.
Love.

Hello all, I am looking to start a band that is a funky jam band with metal core elements. I am open to play guitar and or bass. Looking for anyone interested in creating a project together. My wife can do some guest vocals as well. Regardless of your skill level with your instrument I am mainly looking with people who would be committed our project that are capable of working in a team element. If you are not someone who works well with people please skip this post. I am able to help the band with any financial aspects and business process as I have previously been a small business owner and have an accounting degree. everyone in the band would split profit equally.
right now just looking to create a couple good songs and if it leads to touring I would be willing to tour and help grow the project. I have some connections to get on a tour within the US only. the tour would be roughly 20 days
I am looking for anyone that is 18 or older and does not have a crimal record. Backgrounds checks and criminal background review of everyone in the band would be required. please feel free to dm me or reach out on this post but please ensure you work well in a group setting. I love all kinds of music and would be willing to put out both heavy and soft songs.
take care thanks

[24F] from Sweden. Mostly into producing electronic/experimental type beats & doing vocals. Been making music for as long as I can remember and it’s a bigger hobby of mine. I myself am not so great at playing instruments other than a little bass, keyboard & some drums. I’d like to start some sort of band a little inspired by the sound that Slow Pulp or Bon Iver have, but obviously something that could also be our own. Incorporating talent and experiences of sound to make it flow good and original.
Since I’m not much of an instrument player, I’d like to do mostly vocals & production of sorts. So with that said I’m looking for folks that can play drums, guitar, bass and/or other. Don’t really have much of a plan rather than finding people with the same sounds and vibe, just see where it goes.
Don’t hesitate to message me, so we can talk some music. I myself don’t mind the travel as long as you’re located preferably in Sweden. Would like that you’re comfortable of travelling as well if we live far apart, so we still can practice and all. Would like to eventually host some gigs and maybe make a thing out of it. Hope that all is well!
hii!! my friend and i have been starting up a band but we want our vocals to be robotic and gritty, i was wondering if someone could help us with finding some sort of settings for it?? our band is inspired by electronic, goth, punk, and breakcore, i would absolutely appreciate your help!!

As title states. I mostly do vocals and programming. I’d love to get with a guitarist/bassist and a drummer, and put out an EP this year.
My biggest vocal influences are under oath and bring me the horizon. I have samples. Hit me up if you’re interested.
Hey, my name is Mowgli. I'm 16, currently living in SE London and I’m looking to make some music. I’ve been playing bass for 4 years and guitar for 3 years and I've sang for most my life. Genre-wise I play: Hard Rock, Indie Rock, Stoner Rock, Nu-Metal, Jazz, RnB, Pop and Midwest Emo. I am a fairly experienced live musician so going on the stage is something I would like to keep pursuing as well as recording original songs. I have one very rough demo of a full song and a few riff ideas if you would like to hear. My influences: Royal Blood, QOTSA, Nirvana, Deftones, The Strokes, Fontaines DC, Billie Ellish, RY X and Radiohead. I’m willing to travel if you have a rehearsal space (as long as it is in London). Shoot me a DM if this interests you. Have a wonderful day!
I play mainly keys, but I can also play guitar and bass if needed. I can also produce and have been doing so for 9 years now. My music taste includes a lot of alt rock, electronic, and pop music, but I can play other genres if needed.
Hey ya’ll. Looking for a vocalist to collaborate with on a possible EP. This track has gotten some really positive feedback and i would really like to release it in 2025 with the right vocalist. Would love a demo by this weekend too (:
