What would be a reasonable ask for a pay increase during an annual review? I’ve continuously received above the average marks during my feedback sessions throughout the year (always 4.5 or above on a scale of 5) and was looking to ask for a 10% increase. Is that too much or reasonable?

Born and raised in Luxembourg, I only discovered it recently (you’re welcome to roast and shame me for that). Apparently it’s typical to mix it with alcohol during the Xmas market in December however I would love to try some combinations before. What are your personal favorites/suggestions?
Edit: Thanks a lot for the suggestions!
I am looking for an electronics repair shop that is reliable and does good work. It os kinda difficult to find someone that is not sketchy. Preferrably I'd stay in the North of the country but I am open to any suggestions.

Hi all,
I‘m curious if anyone can share their views on how the Lux tax authorities are taxing cryptocurrency gains?
I’ve read multiple sources stating that long term holdings (over 6months) are not taxed for capital gains BUT I‘ve also heard that even if you’ve held longer than 6 months it is possible that a tax can be levied on the gains. However, i‘m not sure which factors are taken into account in the latter case. Any thoughts?
Hello, I'm considering getting a piercing in Luxembourg. I found several parlors, but not their pricing. Obviously the price will be variable in each parlor as well as for various piercings. But could anyone with a recent experience tell me what the range could be like? E.g. for an eyebrow piercing?
Thank you very much!
I’m 1,59cm tall and 59kg. A year ago I was 47kg, I took weight very fast due to anxiety. I tried EVERYTHING, sports, diets, etc. Unfortunately I do not loose ANY weight and even if it doesn’t sound like much weight and I’m still within my weight for my height,… it is affecting me a lot emotionally. I can’t get into my clothes, I judge myself all the time and I anxiously eat falling into my cravings… I don’t know what to do, thought about mounjaro or wegovy but I don’t know if I would be able to have it since I’m still in my weight range…? Any help please? Thank you in advance!
Hello Everyone :) I am looking for places in Luxembourg City where I can go casually to listen to live music, like small bar with a little stage, nothing like big venue, but more like a cool not so big spot in town, ideally with some open mic or even sometimes with jam session why not ?, Places where local bands are performing if you see what I mean Thanks in advance !
I was out of the country for a couple of months and just checked my mail. I got a fine for speeding in germany (Hamburg) by mail in may 24, later got a „lettre recommandé“ to collect a the post office in june 24.
It‘s been quite some time now and haven’t received anything else.
Can I simply ignore it?
Could anyone share their experience how bridge loans work here? Read several times that people got screwed up during interest rates hike , but want to understand one high way is this type of loan different from the one where you would mark your current property as a collateral to get a new loan. Thanks in advance
Hello Reddit community,
I believe this is such a common topic, though I don't see any similar recent question. Briefly, I am a tenant of a very old apartment, although at a very nice neighbourhood. All the appliances are from the 70-80s . I tried to use the dishwasher (which is also rusty) and suddenly electricity was down for several minutes, so I Cannot use it . I also use the washing machine and all the water keep coming back to my sink.. I also paid an electrician 400e to fix the issue with the washing machine but it still didn't work, so he told me that everything is old and the connections are bad . My landlord knows that they are old and I even asked him to leave the apartment but he was mad saying i rented the apartment as it is and it's given at a below the market price because it was old so clearly he is not going to change anything or accept any expenses. In the beginning I have emails with the agency saying that I did not receive the apartment in good state and they paid at least for the first cleaning because I received it full of mould on top of all.. I have a contract for 4 years and I am on the 2nd year, so he says if I want to leave I need to find someone for another 4 years and not for the remaining time of the contract .in the contract he did not accept to include a clause for leaving the apartment before the 4 years. Anyone had been in the same situation recently , what did you do?
So, I got groceries today. This is all your fault, r/luxembourg....
Just came back to Lux after some holidays abroad. And just wanted to say that we live in an amazing place where the streets are clean and full of green, you dont need to look for a change when hoping on a bus, you can go to a park without encountering there drug dealers or stepping in a dog shit :) Weather sucks of course, the Gare is complete mess and time in Urgence can be shorter, but we still have something that many around have lost long ago. Let's keep it that way and better!
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in Spain, and I live in Arlon. I've been actively searching for my first experience in Luxembourg, but nearly all the offers I find require proficiency in German. At the moment I'm intermediate in French and fluent in English. Does anyone have experience working as a civil engineer in Luxembourg? Any advice would be appreciated. I'm feeling a bit frustrated because I'm engaged, but I can't get married until I find an opportunity. I’m trying to stay hopeful.
Are there techno groups of people regularly travelling to Belgium, Germany or NL together to rave?
