Hey everyone,
I’m a final-year mechanical engineering student at Turkey, and I’m planning to do a multi-month Erasmus+ internship in Italy. I want to gain experience in machining and manufacturing, including areas like production and machine maintenance.
I was considering applying to Ferrari, but I’d like to explore other options as well. Does anyone have insights into high-profile companies in the automotive, aerospace, defense or just machine companies (like breton) that focus on machining and manufacturing?
If anyone has done an internship or worked in this field in Italy, I’d love to hear about your experiences and any advice you have.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hello all,
My deadline for submitting my preference for a semester abroad is nearing and I am indecisive. I seem to not be able to choose between two cities. These cities are: Lisbon and Helsinki. Both cities and universities that I can choose from have their positives but also their negatives. Lisbon has a great climate and cost of living while Helsinki has the opposite. Also, the university in Helsinki, where I want to go to, has courses that align well with my educational goals, while the one in Lisbon doesn't. Furthermore, I have more affinity for the Portuguese culture than the Finnish culture. On top of this, the coordinator of my university and other students say that the university in Lisbon is bad with its communication towards (potential) exchange students and that all secondary essentials are better to organize when going to Finland, like housing etc.
I am kind of in a split. Do I want to follow course that I like, but not in a country that I (for now) am not fond of, or should I just go to Portugal, a country I am more sure of being able to have a good time in, even though my educational goals will not be met.
What are your recommendations? Do you have any experiences with choosing your Erasmus exchange based on education or other reasons like culture and how did it unfold? Do you have any positives or negatives aspects about Lisbon or Helsinki I am missing? I am looking forward to your comments.
anyone experiencing this too? i have reached out through the website's "Contact" tab but have not heard anything back
Hello,
I am finishing up my bachelors degree in the USA and would like to do one of these programs. The 3 i’m eyeing have deadlines of February 21st to March 16th.
Would it be too late to apply now? I need to be considered for financial aid/scholarships so I don’t know if they view applications on a rolling basis or what.
Also, is it advisable to apply straight out of undergrad? I’m not sure. I have experience in studying abroad (Barcelona, Spain) through a prestigious government funded scholarship that paid all expenses, working as a social media manager for my university, and working for an ivy league university at their research center as a communications intern. I have 3 publications, and i’m bilingual 3.5 GPA.
Is this enough experience? I’m worried about the competition honestly :,(… 21 and don’t really know what i’m doing but I love university and I need to figure it out soon!! I’m applying to programs that focus on higher education and public policy
Hi, I study economics and I am choosing between st.Gallen and TUM in Munich. Since I am an introvert and I never lived alone, would you recommend me a provincial city like st.Gallen or a bigger one like Munich?
Hello, I'm a Brazilian student and I'm finishing my undergraduate degree in Letras (literature), and even though I haven't finished yet, I'm pondering about applying for erasmus and I was wondering if there's any Brazilian student here who could help with some tips and etc. That would be very helpful, thanks.
Hello, im a student from Germany (Im Polish) and i would really love to go on a student exchange to Czechia. The problem is, by that time i would be on hormones and fully present as a man, while my documents data still says female. Its really hard to change your gender in documents in Poland and im scared i wouldn't be able to go on erasmus because of that. Like they won't believe me that the documents belong to me or even arrest me to make sure im not lying about my Id card. Does anyone know if its safe to still go on erasmus while being in such a situation?
Hi! Is anyone going to Florence Italy during spring semester?
Hii im an international student who Goes on Erasmus to sabanci Istanbul this year maybe. Do you know Someone who Goes there also this year or maybe went there already? I would love to hear experience or ask Some questions
It’s been 21 days since I started my Erasmus and I’ve been hating every second of it. I arrived after the welcome week so everyone had already made groups and plans which has been making extremely hard to integrate. I’m always proposing plans but people are always saying they’ve already something planned or are “too tired”. The city also sucks, it’s not the capital and there’s nothing to do. The ESN does not have that many events and the ones that are happening next are only at the end of the month. I am now really regretting my choice because I’m seeing my friends in others cities (which some of them were my options) and they are having a really good time. It’s making me super sad that I’m wasting this once in a lifetime opportunity because I made the wrong choice. All I wanted was to party, travel, learn and make friends, but instead I’m just going on stupid walks alone or stay in my room doing nothing. So if you’re also having a shitty time, at least know that you’re not alone ig… thanks for reading until here ahah
So as the title suggests, has anyone gotten shortlisted for the EMJM imaging and asked to submit the Polimi application?
I'm wanting to do the IMSISS (int. master of security, intel, and strategic studies) program through the University of Glasgow but it starts in September. Looking for a similar program that would start in January or the spring semester. Any school abroad. I'm from the U.S. and want to study overseas
Hello everyone. I would like to know if my application for a scholarship would be accpeted if I submitted it only days prior to the deadline. In case i get accpted but decided to appeal the decision (i mean withdraw from the scholarship), will this create any problems if i attempted to apply for another Erasmus mundus scholarship in the upcoming year? I heard you can delay the granted scholarship for a year, so I would like to know if this is true. I would really appreciate your help and advice.
Need help with application evaluation & general advice, if that’s not too much to ask :-)
p.s would highly appreciate any help or feedback!
Hey guys!
I am an Erasmus student and I recently booked my stay during the semester through Uniplaces. So far they've been super helpful and honest. I noticed that there is an "Invite a friend" option, so I thought I might share it with you in case it helps somebody. You can use the code UNIWDKJIJ to get 10% discount of the booking fee!
Enjoy!
Hey so this happened, I am going on Erasmus internship to Vietnam in 10 days, paperwork took a bit long and today I finally got to the contract with company that manages the Erasmus mobility and they told me all money from the fund is used up and I was forced to sign old mobility contract (2023) with 700 eur a month funding. The problem is All the people going with me were granted bonus money for travel expenses 1700 eur (8000+ km journey from Czechia) and I was not - same answer, not enough funds. I have bought all the tickets already, accommodation and this is literally half of the funding promised to me.. Is there anything I can do about it?? Sorry if this is not the place to ask but I literally don't know what to do at this point
Hi, I'am looking for the WhatsApp group of the Erasmus in Zurich, do you have any link?
Hey everyone! I’m applying for Erasmus and would love some feedback on my motivation letter. Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hello everyone! I will be starting my studies in Germany soon and I was wondering how many € a month would I need for a student life in Marburg more specifically. Like the minimum estimate. I think my dorm rent would be 250-350, not sure yer. If you have any experience with student life in Germany this year or even last year, it would be helpful.
What city in Spain would you reccomend for Erasmus?
Hello guys I am on an exchange semester in Scotland for the next 4 months. I wanted to ask if anyone knows what is the best way to pay in the UK? I was thinking of using Revolutt, using Revolut but I'm not sure. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi guys,
I am looking for a recommendation for a good Erasmus+ funded course for teachers. Our school´s aim comprises of digital technologies, project based learning and formative assessment. Do you have any reccomendations for a course that offers a good opportinuty to actually learn more about these topics. I am afraid that a lot of the courses, despite having awesome looking schedules with seemingly great activities are often just "teacher´s retreat", with a little to none opportunities to actually discuss the our work with other participants and learn new things to a deeper level. I am aware of the fact that this is quite a challange in a week course, but I have been to some teacher training courses and most of them were literally like this:
Make a presentation about your school and introduce it to others.
Bunch of ice-breakers
Tour in "innovative" school
a trip to local sights
I have no problem with these activities. However, there is usually nothing else of substance besides that. My fellow teachers, do you know any specific courses in which you have learned a lot?
Hi I’m a British student studying Business and French and I’m considering going to Université de Montreal or Université Laval for my year abroad instead of to France. Any comments on either of the unis or locations would be greatly appreciated as I don’t know anyone who has been before. I think I’m going to list Montreal as my first preference but I’m not sure what areas the students at the uni tend to live and how they find housing/roommates so does anyone know? And for Laval, is it better socially to live on campus or is living in Quebec City also an option? If so, how could I find roommates? I’m also kind of concerned about the social and nightlife at Laval as I can’t find much info about it online so what is it like? I want to be able to meet other students so if it’s generally an unsociable place should I list a uni in france as my second option instead?
Im gonna make my erasmus in Lisbon starting in September of this year, i am looking for people to share apartment etc. Also if anyone has made his Erasmus there any advice is welcome. :)
is there anyone who has an information about jbuytr or Envar Yazılım i will have an internship with this startup and i didn t find a lot of information about it and i want to know if u recommend it or not
For those that are thinking of doing their Erasmus in either Paris or Prague, I did my Erasmus in Prague and did an internship exchange in Paris but still entered Erasmus events and made a lot of Erasmus friends.
I know the experience for everyone is different but if you’re doubting to go, my advice to you is: please go! Both times I had the blast of my life and I just want to do it AGAIN lol. Erasmus is such a great experience. Prague is such a vibe, very affordable, great atmosphere and Paris is gorgeous, just amazing to be there.
If you have questions about living in these cities, going out, safety areas, best places etc don’t hesitate to let me know or just Erasmus questions in general, I’m happy to help!
Hi everyone! Tips for someone who’s doing their Erasmus in Barcelona? Like where I could stay, safe areas, standard of living (budget wise), things to do as a student etc.? Any advice would be much appreciated!
Hi. I applied for 2 of erasmus mundus scholarships.
I haven't yet heard back from GLOCAL. The applicant self service portal says my application is "on hold" pending review from an admission service officer. Some of the people here have heard back rejections around a day or 2 earlier. I was wondering if anyone out there has received acceptance as of yet??
I am also a bit confused bec the site says scholarship results will be out by april 7. Can someone please clarify? And if you have had acceptance or rejection please state so in the comments. Reach out please! Thanks
