This is a social experiment among a large group of long time redditors from many of the music subreddits. The goal is for this place to eventually become the /r/bestof of music.
How does it work? Via democratic elections and participation in music communities on reddit. People who win elections in /r/listentous and moderate other music subreddits are given access to radd.it's curated content system.
Radd.it stalks these people, waiting for them to leave a one-word reply of "curate" on any music submission anywhere on reddit. Once such a reply is detected, the parent submission is crossposted here with a cleaned up title.
There are several thousand music submissions each day all over reddit. Getting a human being with some experience in each genre of music to listen to all of them is a tricky thing. We're hoping that the curators in each subreddit will take the time to tag the best music their subs have to offer so we can collect them here for easy discovery.
