Welcome to /r/lightsabers, the one and only official subreddit dedicated to everything lightsabers. Feel free to post anything regarding lightsabers, be it a sink tube or a camera flashgun. From STL renders to finished products, from hilts to accessories, it can be discussed here.

Basically I have bought another lightsaber but this one is from aliexpress on the TXQSABER stores I bought the snv4 pro varient is this worth it and also does it work with the xeno app
I have a mace windew lightsaber I got from Disney and would like a good way of displaying it. My idea was to mount the hilt to the wall with a short 12-15in clear tube to hold some leds for a blade. My question would be what are some recommendations for a mounting solution. I am looking for inspiration as a jumping off point.
Finally caved and got my first saber! (Other than one I 3D printed years ago) Had to go with Luke of course. I waffled over weathered or not, think I would have been happy either way. Bought from X-trex during the 11.11 sale and had slow shipping. Went all out with the proffie board. Now to learn how to use it. The length isn't right based on tip drags. Speaking of length, I asked them to swap to 92cm and they said they would...but I got the shorter one. :/ I guess it's OK, as it makes it a little less unweildy. Anyway, pretty impressed by the "cheap" Chinese version!
I've seen some places with pre-made parts and places that sell circuit boards, but I've been looking for a place that take *custom* commissions, as in I have a 3D model I'm interested in paying to have made up. I've looked for a long time but haven't found anywhere that'll do it. I can always 3D print but I'd prefer machining it to be metal (or at least mostly) any advice in where to look?
I know this has been discussed on here before, but I haven’t seen anyone speak on these adaptors specifically. Has anyone used these metal adaptors? Do you fit them into your hilt first or onto the blade? And do they fit both the smaller and larger set screw sizes? Would recommend them?
I usually just sand down the inside of a hollow 1in blade until a 7/8 fits snugly in. Then I cut to correct height. Works well, but it seems like it might be easier with the adaptor.
Thanks!
I'm trying to reflash this board, it's a proffieboard 2.2 and my config is totally fine as I've used it on other sabers but everytime i try to reflash the board I get the same "cannot open dfu device" error. Not only have I done the zadig method I have also used the proffie dfu setup as well. When I connect the board it registers in arduino and the sketch comiles fine but it refuses to upload due to this error.
and what happens if I build a saber without one?
Neopixel CFX for context
Took apart my 2002 Mace Windu lightsaber, cleaned & tested all the circuits, but alas the original light & sound would not function. So I modded it with a new brighter led bulb...and wahla...to me it looks almost as good as the new stuff they are selling today. Fun note, since I upgraded it one does this mean I've now truly moved on from being an apprentice?
Hello all,
Finally completed my install of an Ocularis. Want to stay true to a lore saber. Add a little black to highlight the details. Wraped the handle with a one-off leather wrap and black leather stitch and a burned in jedi symbol. I do need the change the crystal chamber lights to white, it will show the marble better I think. My thanks to Ignition Sabers, Tierfon Orbital, and Noah Drew for the awesome marble.#tierfonorbital.com #ignitionsabers.com #nobiwan'sglasshu
The Satele Shan Saber Staff design is probably my favorite (although I think some prongs/fangs on the emitter would be a nice addition). However, I think it would look really good in a non-weathered, polished gold appearance. Korbanth probably has the best version of this design, but to my knowledge, they allow no such customization. I think the UltraSabers variant has a gold option, but it, frankly, just doesn't look very good or accurate. I know SaberForge offers powder coats, but they do not offer a Satele design.
Is there anybody that offers a design similar to what I have described? Would it be possible to get the Korbanth hilts empty, have them powder-coated from some 3rd party, and then installed? Is there anyone that offers powder coats for hilts that are produced outside of their vendor?
I can't think of the name for the life of me! I type in hand guard and get useless info! Please halp!
Qui-Gon's saber is so sleek and elegant, from the pinnacle of the Republic, while Rey's is starkly utilitarian, made from scraps, reflecting the galaxy under the threat of the First Order.
Both amazing work by the design teams. Makes the universe they live in feel alive and fluid and evolving.
The 2 scratch and dent hilts I just got to learn how to wire electronics on them.
