Advice on Lego Lighting Kits

Just go into collecting a few sets, anything Mario/nintendo related and Pac-Man.

I’d like to display them when they are built but the prices on eBay are kind outrageous. I found some websites that specifically sell lighting kits, but was hoping to get some opinions on which site to go with, I’d like them to be powered by USB and I live in the US if that matters (seen a couple .eu sites)

Thanks 🙏🏻

The alien tourist eludes me.

11 packs/ 11 figures. I got “lucky”. Hopefully I can find the alien tourist. Small town so we probably have what we’re going to get. Super cool figures though.

Speed Champions vs Technic fragility

I’m a F1 fan. Middle aged. Caught the Lego bug with the new sets. Damn Speed Champions seems a tougher build with all the 1x1 and other smaller pieces. Just seems fragile, but maybe it’s my tactile shortcomings. The large McLaren and Mercedes - no issues. This Merc 76909 is a bit of a struggle. Not to mention the stickers….

I recently proposed to my partner with this

Now I have to live the rest of my life knowing the “Lego” was upside down. Some would call it quirky.

Paranormal Research Center MOC

Besides the Updated Firehouse I have been working on a Paranormal Research Center. Once a triborough aquarium on Staten Island. The aquarium ceased operations at an undisclosed point. Winston Zeddemore bought the property and founded the Ghostbusters Engineer Corps and the Paranormal Research Center. He kept their existence a secret from the new team of Ghostbusters but a select circle including Janine Melnitz, Ray Stantz, and Peter Venkman knew about it.

Lucky tested a Compact Thrower in the shooting range. He deposited the ghost into the Containment Unit. Winston presented it to the team. Ray remarked it could spin the equivalent of 50 million cubic hectares of plasmic confinement, a space equal to the American West. Phoebe looked at an enclosure but saw nothing. Once she turned to ask Winston what it was, Bonesy appeared. Gary and Callie looked at one of the ghosts being studied, Pukey. They found it cute and waved. It hurled Ectoplasm towards them. Ray instantly recognized Possessor and called it the most threatening pest in the facility. Possessor jumped from a table centerpiece, into the ceiling light, a plate, a lamp, a folding chair, a TV stand, the vintage Sony television set, a Hoover vacuum cleaner, a cup, a candy dish, and a pair of scissors. It then launched the scissors towards Trevor Spengler and hit the glass pane.

Sadly I am stuck at the point that I must put it on the back burner. I am killing myself trying to figure out how to do the roof of the Paranormal Research Center. I have originally been trying to make the round step-up dome roof of the building used for the exterior shot. The building used is Lyons Pool Recreation Center on Staten Island New York. After many failed attempts I just tried to make a shallow dome roof-like round trash can or a curved exterior of the Millennium Falcon. I am also stuck on figuring out a clever way to make Pukey maybe even upgrade Bonesy as I just used a Stelatone Minifig.

I hope you all like it., I would love to get some feedback.

How Do you move lego sets when already built?

My gf and I are going to be moving soon and have built lego sets that we don't want to destroy.

Does anyone know an easy way to move Lego sets without completely breaking them apart?

Reviving an old collection

Happy weekend everyone. I’m housesitting for my parents this weekend so naturally I started excavating my old legos in their basement with the hope of reassembling them back into their original sets. Today is probably just going to be disassembling, cleaning, and sorting while trying to find out if all their instructions are listed online. If anyone has any tips on organizing loose pieces for ease of searching it would be greatly appreciated. Happy building! (Sadly the Life on Mars box is just that, a box used for storing loose pieces. Still a neat find.)

What made you love LEGO?

Hi! I'm doing a project for class and would love to hear your stories/experiences of what makes LEGO an impactful brand to you. I feel like we all have one kit or build that really connected us with the product, or sparked an interest for life, and I'd love to hear yours (:

Ghostbuster's Frozen Empire Firehouse MOC

Hello, I am working on an update to Ghostbuster's Frozen Empire MOC. I considered on making a new scale but then decided to stick with the Lego version. I may redo it on a better scale later. I am using the Ecto-1 for scale while working on the Main floor. I loved Peter's office and Janine Melnitz's desk so I re-made it, and added the filing cabinets. The Proton Pack cage in yellow has been added. I am considering making an extension like the home-alone basement to move the Ecto Containment unit.

Ghostbusters ll Easter egg, will be included on all floors. I know they flipped the layout 180 Degrees for the movie. Did you know Callie's and Gary's bedroom was supposed to be on the third floor in the bed with the kids in the front? 1st and 2nd Floor of the Frozen Empire Ghostbusters HQ is finished well I hope. I tried to do what I wanted without making it too tacky. I still might make it a bigger one just for my happiness. I hope you all like it., I would love to get some feedback

Wrong piece in set

Just bought the Kawasaki Ninja H2R set and I'm stuck on step 132. The piece labeled "9" is completely missing from the set. In place of it, there is a second "10" which Is a mirrored version used in step 130. I looked at the duplicate for at least 30 minutes trying to figure out if I'm going insane. What should I do?

Edit: Due to my terrible luck, the one I need is out of stock on the website
