Laser Weapons are a ranged weapon that damages its target with highly focused beam of laser energy. Think Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, Northrop-Grumman, US Navy, US Air Force... They have already been deployed on turrets, vehicles, ships and aircraft. Other directed energy weapons include microwaves, and particle beams. Directed energy weapons can target personnel, missiles, vehicles, optical devices, quadcopters, and unmanned aircraft.

About

Laser Weapons and Directed Energy Weapons. A directed energy weapon damages its target with highly focused energy, including laser, microwaves, and particle beams. This is currently a growth market and a vast number of systems have been deployed in the past decade. Think Pentagon, DARPA, Naval Research Laboratory, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin...

Laser weapons have been deployed and commercialised by multiple nations, and sold between nations, for deterrents and countermeasures, defending personnel, vehicles, boats, ships and buildings, disabling optical and electronic systems, shooting down drones and destroying missiles before they reach their target.

    anti-mosquito targetting

hi, this might be crazy, but : could we create a tiny version of an anti-drone weapon that effectively targets and zaps mosquitoes? Can you think of any realistic issues with that ? Would it depend entirely on quality of tracking? Happy to hear any and all thoughts. Thank you

wondering if they have a heat signature that could make infrared tracking possible; noticing that their movement pattern could make tracking easier, though initially challenging. Also noticing sometimes they are very small :)

(anti-flies would be the next iteration, or perhaps the first, as they're bigger.)

Looking for Information on deps.org and Anyone Associated with the Organization

    Hi everyone,

I'm a student currently studying directed energy systems and I recently came across deps.org. I'm trying to learn more about their work and research, but there seems to be limited information available online.

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with deps.org or knows someone who is part of the organization. I'd love to connect with anyone who can share some insights or provide guidance. I'm particularly interested in learning more about their projects and possibly getting in touch to ask a few specific questions related to my studies.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!
