Hi, I'm an American leftist and environmentalist (libertarian socialist, in theory) who is doing some soul searching right now due to a multitude of issues, I have been familiar with AANES/Rojava as it represents one of the most underrated and potentially the most important political project in the 21st century.
How can I offer any assistance? How can I help spread attention from the right audiences so they can do the same? Who can I talk to or contact to make this happen?
There's going to be a Twitter Space with Soran Hamarash, a Kurdish historian, on November 16. Come and join when the time comes! ❤️☀️💚
in a couple months I will be leaving everything behind in Canada my car, my house, what family i have and move to kurdistan to join the peshmerga. I myself (21 male) am not kurdish I am a Carribean, Mongolian, I am semi fluent in kurdish and can read arabic. I want to get some information before i leave.
these are my main question but i welcome additional info.
Is there any Arab countries people, where you feel like they are most or more accepting and friendly toward Kurdish people than others.
Was he a good guy or a bad guy? I know most Muslims hate him. Do the Kurds hate him or like him?
As a Kurd, I would like to say that Kurds have no friends other than Kurds. Kurds were massacred and some were forgotten, some were imprisoned because of their socialist views, and some were forced to marry Turks or children were assimilated with the devshirme system.
Bijî Kurdistana kurdan, bijî kurdên birûmet, bijî kurdên ku eslê xwe ji bîr nakin, bijî kurdên ku nijada xwe diqîrin.
In my opinion We (kurds) cant trust anyone to be honest, because anyone who was our “leader” has betrayed us. So what do you think about them?

Hi I just wanna ask the kurds living in the region about how they feel towards other kurds who were born in different countries are they accepted in the community especially those who's coming from Arab ones ?
Do Kurds like Americans and do they approve of Americans living in Kurdistan region
How did the Turkish-Kurdish conflict begin? I have seen Turkish writers who say that the only purpose of Kurdish rebellions such as Seyh Sait, Dersim, Ağrı and PKK is to keep Turkey busy. What do you think? Why did these riots occur?
We kurds here in Bahdinan love him and me personally I love him very much since I love history and their haven't really been any great Kurdish kings or sultans except for him. And not only that he was also a Very religious person that believed in Allah which makes everything even better.
In the interview linked below, Halboosi (the most significant Suni Leader), stated that the categorical order for choosing top Iraqi positions is Shia -> Sunni Arab --> Kurds
This entails him wanting to switch Sunni Arabs rule from the Parliament (whereby the speaker is traditionally Chosen as a Sunni Arab, Such as Al-Halboosi) to the President of the republic (a position currently held by the Kurds) and vice versa.
Thoughts on this as Kurds? Do you think it will happen?
If so, what are the repercussion? Do you accept this?
hey guys, just wondering what your experiences are living as a kurd in the west or back home, any differences? i was born here in the uk and raised here and really am seeing kurdistan progress, shame i cant see it first hand tho. Whats it like there?
Title summarises it to be fair, im 16, yes im young, yes im impressionable, easily influenced whatever you call it but why are my own people, my fellow kurds constantly trying to condense women who willingly chose their religion to a naive category, some victims of propaganda? weak, opressed xayins who prioritse a foreign arab religion over embracing whatever else it may be? Seriously guys you arent any better than those islamists who belittle non muslims, im fed up of being homogenised for my only source of spiritual comfort. 'B-but islam isnt benefitting you!!' what would you know about that? I see people criticising especially western kurd muslims, saying they should know better, they're in the west, free from opression or whatever 😭 Guys please listen to yourselves for a minute, if anything you dictating who i worship and how i dress makes me feel oppressed, what happened to women having freedom of choice, or is it only acceptable when it fits your standard of liberation? I live in the uk, was raised muslim, but wasnt really made to do anything, i was taught basics and tbf found islam mainly by myself, my parents encouraged it but there was no compulsion, so dont try say i was indoctrined to shittt. I understand our opressors share the same religion, but islam to me is fundamental, im not trying to push some extremist agenda so dont start but my practice of islam does not in any way support what the turks or arabs have done to us and im tired of that shitty arguement. The islam the majority of you guys have seen is the twisted extremism ba'athists and lustful men have used as a justification, stop reducing women to that status for simply practicing a religion. Islam for me has changed my life, i feel liberation in my modesty, i feel comfort when resorting to God, whys that so hard to respect? why do some of you simply attack us for living like this? As Kurds, we need to appreciate the secularity we have, kurdistan is so tolerant its beautiful so please for the love of god keep these standards when it comes to other people who choose their lifestyle. i really expect better from my own people, enough making your own women feel marginalized, thats the job of our opressors, not our own people!! Ofc every religion/agenda/idea is open to critcism but the downright hate ive seen is APPALLING
edit: sorry if this has turned into a bit of a religious debate, that was not my intention and ima try keep that in the dms, my point is let’s preach jin jiyan azadi for everyone
Is it possible to use Mytv mobile app outside Kurdistan? Did anybody try it?
