I am trying to play kotor 1 on my new pc i got, the sucky part is that the save files from my old laptop didn’t carry over to my new pc even though steam cloud was supposed to, does anyone know how i could fix this?
[SOLVED]
I finished kotor 1 on android and started my second playthru. Can someone give me a brand new female soldier save file with stats, credits and etc etc. I dont have a pc to do it by myself. I couldnt find any help from internet how todo it on phone. Thank you
The game has stopped working entirely since the last 4 android versions any solution?
Hey!! Playing kotor 2 on my phone…again. I remember there being something shady about the guy on Dantooine with the sensors and gaining influence with Bao-dur who tells me how fishy all this is. I found the sensors WITH BAO-DUR, returned to the guy but my only options are to either say “nahh, I’m gonna hold on to them for now.” Or “here ya go.” And he pays. How come I can’t get anything else out of him? Its the first thing I did on Dantooine…am I missing something?
About to play KotoR for the first time. Was looking for any easy to install graphics mods for this game. Been wanting to play it for a while, but age doesn't look like it's been kind to the game graphically. I also don't usually mess with mods, so preferably something that's easy to install. Fewer steps the better. Thank you!
And what would you do for a living? I would like safety and access to healthcare first, and I can deal with boring, so I would probably pick Manaan. Their government also probably would have lot of jobs as it seems pretty big

This is just a question I've been thinking about for a while now, because given the nature of the dark side and the force in general it seems that certain personalities are more prone to falling to the dark side than others and it's not always entirely in ones control whether they fall or not. So I would like to know who thinks they'd stay with the light side and who thinks they would fall to the dark side by choice or otherwise.
Personal based on my personality I think I would probably end up falling to the dark side. I'm not really one for self control and will often end up doing things with out thinking or doing things even though I know that something bad may happen to me as a result. And I don't imagine that I would be able to stay perfectly calm and rational in a fight and would most likely end up acting out of emotion. So I don't think I would purposely choose the dark side, but I do think that I would slowly fall and it would only be a matter of time.
So what about you guys?
Remember when that alien is getting bullied and hit by the kids, and asks for your help? The kids call him a goggle eyed freak. Do you reckon this is a reference to the UK office? Dave Brent (Gervais) calls Gareth’s friend ‘the Ogg monster’ a ‘goggle eyed freak.’ Can’t find any other reference to the term, it’s quite specific, and the office predates KOTR by only two years. Random question but I’m a big office fan and I wonder if one of the writers of the game was too.. what do you think?
Hi all, I want to replay KotOR and I really like the design of the light side aligned Star Forge robes. Only problem is you can only get them at the very end of the game which makes it pretty pointless in my opinion, as you have no time to enjoy wearing them. I was hoping there was a mod out there to be able to acquire them earlier on in the game such as on Taris or the Ebon Hawke in KotOR 1, but despite a lot of Googling I can't seem to find such a mod. I thought I had seen YouTube videos where people had the robes early though so maybe it's out there - does anyone happen to know if such a mod exists and if possible provide a link? Thank you.
What, exactly, were the Sith doing at Freedon Nadd's temple on Dxun? I always assumed it was some kind of Battle Meditation ritual of sorts but I don't think the game ever explained it. Whatever ritual it is, the Sith apparently completed it but there is no mention of it on Onderon. The combatants on Onderon seem to treat the fight as a "normal" civil war and there's no mention of Vaklu's forces being super-powerful or the Royalist forces being super-weak. The Sith themselves seemed to deploy very few of their soldiers on Onderon itself, with only a few making an appearance in the Royal Palace.
Who rebuilt the Jedi Enclave if you're Dark Side? I can imagine a scenario where the people of Dantooine, being grateful that a Light Side main character saved them from mercenaries, rebuilt the Jedi Enclave. But I'm not sure who would do it if you're a Dark Sider. Clearly the mercenaries would have no interest in doing this, and none of the masters could have orchestrated it because you've been killing them on their home planets.
Why would the Exile assume that the Jedi Council took their force powers away? We know from later plot developments that the Jedi Council had nothing to do with this, it was the trauma from Malachor. So the Exile would have certainly realized that they were cut off from the Force well before the Council passed their judgment.
Why does Atton think that you need a whole crew to pilot the Harbinger? Apparently, Sion piloted it to Peragus on his own just fine.
Why would that holorecording on Peragus say that everyone on the Ebon Hawk was dead? Obviously the Exile was not dead, and the only other person on the Hawk was Kreia.
So I've made a new game and 20m in t3 opens hatch and after that my character is in the fuel depot has anyone had this problem and anyway to fix?
Hello,
I am trying to play KOTOR for the first time, however, I am having problems running the game in widescreen.
I am able to apply UniWS and get the game running in widescreen, so I could play KOTOR, but the UI scaling is all messed up and I’d like to fix that.
I installed HRM but has become the main source of my issues. When I patch the .exe but don’t put anything in the override folder I am able to click on the first menu (new game, load game, etc.) but not any menu past that. When I install the .tga files (or the .tps(?) files) the main screen looks like the attached picture. This makes it impossible to start or play the game.
My monitor resolution is 2560x1080, but I’m willing to play 1920x1080 if there’s a working patch for that. I’ve been unable to find a working fix, and many of the guides are 3-5 years old at this point.
Please, help me patch KOTOR for 2560x1080 with rescaled UI; and, if possible, patch in graphical improvements like HD UI/Better Icons/Upscaled Movies. — Upscaled movies I also had a problem with as the exposition scroll screen at the beginning of the game doesn’t play when replaced with the new video files. Idk about the other movies, but if the new cut screens doesn’t work I’m fully willing cut out that portion of the patch.
TLDR: please help me rescale the UI when patching KOTOR to 2560x1080, and/or help me fix HRM not working correctly.
Thank you in advance!
Hi all, just curious is this a rather uncommon book? Don’t think I’ve ever seen it before even though its copyright is from 2019. Thanks!
I got both copies of kotor 1 & 2 on ORIGINAL xbox. I'll be playing them on a modded original console so I can get the restored content mod on 2; but my question is there any way to get the yavin DLC on the first game since the live service went down?
I keep having this issue when I enter either of the cantinas in Taris. Upper and lower city both. My camera starts to have weird grey and black geometric shapes all around
I ordered this Revan helmet from the disney store. Honestly not bad for 80 dollars, and will work well for future costumes.
How do you think things would've played out had Darth Malak won at the end of KOTOR 1? How do you think the events of the second game would play out? How would it affect the story of KOTOR II? I imagine alot and since I love what-if scenarios, I'm curious to see what people think.
I made this using my Darth Sion custom figure, which I bought on ebay.
so I decided play this game again after many years and while looking around for some exploits and just fun glitches and stuff that I can do to make a fun playthrough I stumbled upon this thread here https://www.reddit.com/r/kotor/comments/tqqa2s/swoop_accelerator_on_taris/ and saw a couple of comments talking about an infinite swoop race loop to get infinite credits and a bunch of levels on taris, I was just wondering does the glitch still work by any chance? and if it does does it work for PC?
first on all, sorry for any errors in my post, english is not my native language.
I don't even know how many times I've played the first game, but since I started K2 for the first time I've been getting this weird feeling that K2 is way somber and darker than the Bioware's game. Right now I'm 23 hours deep and right at the start of Onderon, playing on Hard difficulty.
Maybe is just that I got older and the last time I played these Star Wars games was in 2020/2021 and I was only playing for the gameplay and not the story, but this second game makes me feel like I can't even trust my "companions", like Kreia and Handmaiden... Lot of secrets and not enough answers. Maybe K1 is more like an adventure per se and K2 is more of a Avallone's usual writing.
edit 1: as I said, I'm taking my time with the game, listening to all dialogue I can get and don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the game, is just that I played K1 a dozen times and now I'm going through my first time in K1.
edit 2: just finished the game as a LS character. took Nihilus' mask, spared Sion and killed Kreia. loved this game, just a different vibe from it's predecessor.
