Hi! I would like to ask if there is a Benefit store in the duty free area inside Terminal 2? I'm going to be transiting from there and would like to purchase some benefit products :D Thank you so much!
hi everyone, I will be staying whole day until 9pm at Coex Mall just foodie trip.
whats your recommended best eats restuarant or pop up store eclusive only found on this huge mall and not a franchise restuarant chain ?
My friend and I are planning on flying via Air Premia from LAX to ICN next summer, but were confused on their bag policys.
It would seem we get 2 checked bags for free, a carry on, and a personal item. From what I've seen is that this airline is more focused on weight than size of luggage.
For the carry on and personal items, is the 10kg limit per bag or a combined weight? Because that would make a huge difference in how to pack.
Hello!
I will be traveling to Korea pretty soon. I’ll be staying there for almost a month. I was wondering what the difference between namane and wowpass are? I heard that wowpass can’t be used online but namane seemed to work on coupang? Wowpass seems to have nice discounts for certain stores as well…. Could I please get some advice on what to pick?
Hi guys, I'm trying to book my flights to Seoul for June 2025 from the UK, and I was hoping to receive some advice, as I have never booked a long-haul flight like this before.
Skyscanner is saying that the cheapest tickets are from Asiana Airlines, Virgin Atlantic Airlines, and Korean Air, but all reviews for each airline are mixed. To my understanding, Asiana has just been bought out by Korean Air, so I'm worried about buying tickets from Asiana, as I fear my potential booking could be lost in the merger.
Essentially, do people think the merger will really affect potential tickets?
Also, which airline do people best recommend for long flights?
Thank you!!!
hi friends, does anyone have a reco for a pocket wifi that'll work in japan & korea? splitting our trip between tokyo and seoul, hoping to find one that covers both countries. thanks!
Hello, a few days ago i purchased a flight from Sapporo to Seoul through Jeju Air. They sent me the confirmation email and the trip shows up when I search it on the website but there is no charge of it on my bank statement? It’s really odd and I would appreciate some advice. I’m not able to find their customer service phone number for the U.S. Any advice would be helpful.
Hi everyone, we’re traveling to Iksan in December and would like some recommendations for kid friendly indoor activities for a 2 year old.
Hello All,
I'm travelling over to Korea for a work trip which is 5 days (Monday to Friday) in duration. I've never to been to Korea before so I have a few simple questions that I would really appreciate any responses to.
I'm yet to receive our full itinerary but I believe we are staying in Seoul (unsure what area) and are travelling to Changwon at some point.
My questions:
I am travelling from the UK, is it worth me getting any local currency to use in Korea or are card payments preferred?
The wife is after some beauty products (anti aging or something), what stores or brands are good products?
What areas in Seoul are good for a party type environment? I enjoy eating as well as drinking so somewhere to do both would be great.
On food and in reference to areas of Seoul, are there any must visit restaurants or markets to visit? Not fussed on whether they are "viral" on social media.
Any other tips in relation to not being an idiot abroad and helpful manners would be appreciated.
My boyfriend and I are planning on visiting Seoul in June 2025 and can't decide on where to stay. I know I don't want to be in Myeongdong, as I don't want to be in the midst of the action. Seongsu is on my radar, as it's a bit further away from the 'centre', but has lots of things in the neighbourhood to visit. And it seems quite fun with all the pop-ups. Any recs welcome on areas or hotels. We're planning on staying for a week, only requirement is that it's in a foreigner-safe area and has good transport connections.
Hi all,
I am planning my Japan+Korea trip in April 2025. I see direct flights from Osaka to Jeju till 31st March but nothing in April 2025.
Do the airlines release their schedules later? Is it wise to wait or should I just book Osaka to Seoul and then to Jeju?
So we will be staying for a night at Nami Island by the end of this month. I know there’s not much to do there during this time, so I am looking for a place we can enjoy after checking out the hotel and before going back to Seoul to kind of maximize our stay at the area. Perhaps between 12NN to 4PM (just before it gets super dark).
From my limited research, I am seeing that Elysian Gangchon Ski is possible but haven’t tried skiing before so not sure if ~3 hours is enough to spend there.
Thanks y’all.
Is 100,000k-120,000k enough for this? preferably something even cheaper is it exists haha. Im going next year end of may-first week of june. Please comment down your links and experiences with them. Also how does payment for booking work? I'm from thr philippines so hopefully someone whos from the ph has done this in SK.
We tried to book through the korail app or letskorail.com for Dec. 23 travel from Seoul but the selection is still greyed out? I thought we can buy tickets up to 1 month in advance?
How does korea pay? is it okay to have my card with me only? does small businesses like personal colour, nail salon etc prefer cash? bank transfer? or do they normally all have the card reader? help!
travelling to korea over last december to mid january, but it’s hard to find very warm winter clothes where i live as its currently summer, so most stores have no stock for winter items.
do you think i can buy most of my winter clothes there and bring a small amount?
what shoes do you recommend wearing during the winter time. are sneakers okay or are boots a must? if so what kind of boots
thank you!
So I landed today and I lost my wallet, which had my credit card and a few other things on the way to my hotel from the airport. I have spoken to my bank, my country’s embassy, the hotel reception, 3 Korean banks and multiple tourist information centres, and they all told me Apple Pay is my only option. I have tried getting a wowpass, namane card, t money card and Korea tour card but they all need cash to top up and activate.
I know that Apple Pay is fairly new here and is not accepted at all locations and public transport will be a headache. Also my bank has a 3.5% surcharge on every transaction I will be making with Apple Pay.
Does anyone know if any of those cards can be activated without cash and I just missed something? Or do I just accept my loss?
I guess I’m lucky since I have Apple Pay but Please D.M me or leave a comment if you have any ideas.
We took the subway from Lotte World down to Chungjeongno. Unfortunately, when we were exiting Chungjeongno we found the single trip card that our young son used wasn’t tapped properly on entry at Lotte World. He seemed to have jumped in immediately after his mom.
The cards got swapped and my wife ended up with his card, trying to use it to get out. It was complaining that it doesnt have entry data, so my wife was stuck. We tried fare adjustment, didn’t work. It was telling us to contact a station agent, but there was nobody around anymore. This is 8 at night.
I bought a new single trip card for the nearest station (seoul), tapped it at the wide entry and just told my wife to step out. It complained in Korean, but we were exhausted to try to figure it out and just walked home.
Should we get this sorted out at the station in the morning? Or nothing to worry about?
Hi! I was in Seoul early nov and wanted to come back next year around April or May. would anyone know if I can still use the climate card I purchased from my recent trip? Is it still valid and can be reactivated by then?
Thanks!!
Hey folks, I am looking for a hotel with connecting rooms for 4 pax. So far only able to find crown park hotel Seoul. Anybody got anything else to recommend?
Hey guys, I visited South Korea twice this year and will be going there again sometime early next year. I removed the entry stickers for the previous 2 visits because they were already peeling off.
Should I be worried in the case that the immigration officers find it suspicious during my next visit?
Hi everyone, I getting frustrated with Daiso. Staffs almost majority locations keeps telling me they dont sold this kind of adapter for U.S standard electronics.
Take note I dont need the converter since my microsoft surface lapter charger supports dual voltage. Thanks in advance.
Hello everyone,
I'll be in Seoul next week. I've read that Secret Garden needs advanced reservation since if you try your luck to buy a ticket for it onsite, they only sell it to first 50 persons.
I was redirected to this website Royal Palace and Tombs center and it says I can only buy ticket 6 days ahead. So the waiting is over, I would like to purchase the tickets now 6 days in advanced.
However, I cannot find the option to purchase the Secret Garden, only the Palace building area.
For those who have tried to book on this website, or those who have recently visited the palace and the secret garden through advanced booking on this site, how did you do it?
- Do I need to purchase and pay for the "Palace Building area only" first before I can purchase the Secret Garden?
- Have I run out of availability for the Secret Garden despite trying to book 6 days in advanced?
- Is the Secret Garden closed during these times (I didn't find any announcement about this though)?
All your help and assistance will be appreciated. Please see attached photos for reference.
Kamsahamnida!
I’m looking to travel from Osan to Incheon airport. I would ride the train but I have a couple of checked bags. I was able to ride a charter type bus from the airport to pyeongtaek by visiting the ticket counter at the airport. The ticket said it was Daewon Express. Are there any busses like this available to the exact opposite route?
It's my first time going to Korea and I'm flying through Air Premia! It's allowing us to check in early, but it's saying we have to pay $100 for our seats? For others who have flown through Air Premia, do we have to pay this or would it eventually assign me a seat without any fee? Thanks!
My friend asked me to get her something while I'm in South Korea. Does anyone know where I can get a box that's similar to the one in the photo?
Hi y’all. I’m trying to purchase additional baggage allowance in my booking however that option has always been grayed out and that message appears when I click on it. I tried calling T’way and the representative told me to call back tomorrow, when I called another time another representative told me they are unable to add such services over the phone and that there’s no reason why I’m unable to add baggage on the website. Tried calling a third time and a different representative told me i can purchase additional bags at the airport for around $170 USD and that it would be cheaper purchasing it on the website pre hand but said “oh well.”
I’m would need to check 2 bags totalling 40KG and I can transiting at ICN. Although it’s under the same booking and PNR, I have been told to purchase separate additional baggage allowances for my first leg and my second leg…?
Could there be any possible way to purchase additional bags beforehand on the website which I’m sure would be cheaper?
