Hey, I wanted to ask if someone can do a mission overview for each episode of rap:public so we can look back on them? Also just to get confusion out of the way if people don't 100% understand the mission. Thanks in advance!!
Sorry if I’m misremembering something, but I know there was a post at the beginning of the year saying they were gonna drop an album in March or April at the latest, but IG & FASHO didn’t come out until a few months later in July when they left H1GHR.
As a huge Dean fan I’ve learned to be patient lol, just wondering if I missed a video or interview explaining what happened to it. Was it supposed to be March or April of 2025?
Hi, I'm not sure if its noticed, but I wanted to ask if anyone still asking Cha Cha Malone for any backing instrumental audio by this day? Does he have no rights to share them anymore? He is not posting them on Youtube or Soundcloud anymore is what I noticed. Back in the old days between 2010 and 2017 he usually uploads the instrumentals on youtube, then soundcloud, at least when Jay Park has released his album projects. Now he (Cha Cha Malone) stopped posting. Unless he wanted to hold them longer until he posts his own album first, then the instrumentals. idk what happened but I missed his posting them.
It can be anyone- someone with no connections, from underground, or even someone already established but was new to you.
My favorites are:
• Woo - I think he's probably the most influential one after his SMTM stint; I'm glad he found good friends & mentorship from people like Gray, CoKun, Jay Park, etc.
• SINCE - my most favorite female contestant
• Jo Woochan - the fact that a 12 year old was in an R-15 show still makes me laugh; he did so good I think there's still no other younger contestant that you can compare to him!
Recently, I’ve become a fan of bully and watched him on hsr, smtm and the web series Paloalto made. It seems like his sentence was increased by 8 months and I initially thought he was sentenced for four years? But according yo koreaboo and yonhap (https://m.yna.co.kr/view/AKR20241025118300061?input=1195m). They claim that he has a 7 year prison ‘term’ - what’s the difference between a prison term and a prison sentence.
And just from memory, i watched a seoul therapy video and they said that bully had a 10 year sentence so im kinda confused.
What’s bully’s actual prison sentence?
If this show ever gets a second season, which other rappers would you want to see on there? There's hundreds of talented artist that I would like to see on the big society game, so I wanna see everyone's thoughts!
im going to the dpr concert in milan nov 10th and i was just wondering how many hours their concerts usually take. i have a flight on monday thats very early in the morning so id like to know if id have to leave the concert early to be able to catch it also do they come on at the designated time, 8pm? and are there any support groups before?
I've been watching rap:public recently, but I've been listening to KHH for about a decade now, that's why i'm asking this quesiton, when will KHH rapper stop acting tough and bowing after, acting like they're gonna beat someone up but get shocked whe someone says "fuck". HH just feel like a gimmick and a trend to all of them when they do that, it feels like they have no awareness of the culture whatsoever. And let's not talk about the damages drill did to some korean rappers, talking about ops and replacing the nword by ninjas, that shit is so corny. Same for the korean american acting like gang member when we know they grew up in koreatown in LA barely seeing black people. Am I going crazy ?
since i haven't been keeping up with the current releases, i'm curious what's coming that i'm not aware of and what you can't wait for! mostly asking about upcoming albums but collabs/EPs are good too.
Criteria: Voting - Comment your five favorite songs by this week’s artist, preferably in order of most to least favorite. I’ve created and will link a Spotify playlist in the results post & I’ll be adding the top five songs that get the most votes individually every edition.
Acceptable songs - These songs should either be by said artist or a collaboration track with no more than one other main vocalist/rapper (Indigo for example would be a posse cut), any amount of other artists that are just featured on a song is fine though (ie Swoosh Flow Remix still counting as a Changmo song). Remixes count as separate songs. If the collab is between said artist, a producer, & another rapper/vocalist, it is also fine because it still follows the above rule. This week’s artist also can’t just be a feature. However exceptions for said artist being a feature are if they either take up most (or at least about half) of the song or if the song is by a producer but they’re the main or only vocalist/rapper on the track (ie JUSTHIS on Unsigned Hype by Groovyroom).
Point System - Your number one pick gets 5 points, number two gets 4 points, number three gets 3 points, & so on. If you only have a top 3 I’ll tweak the points to 5, 3, & 1.
Deadline - Everyone has until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday night to comment their picks, just so I have a day to compile the results which I’ll try to release on Thursdays. Here is a link to a time zone converter, so that everyone knows how long they have. I’m going by CST (Central Standard Time). I’ll also try to post every new edition at 12 a.m. on Friday.
Here’s the playlist I’ve created for this series!
Here is the playlist I’ve created for this series where I’m adding the top five highest voted songs of every week once the results come in.

hello! i've been an avid krnb/khh listener since 2014-2015 ish (starting with dean ofc and when dpr was still on soundcloud) but I've only listened to the music and haven't really kept up with any drama or news until some as of lately. i think my biggest concern is giving streams to somebody that's problematic lmao (like owen or san e). anything i should know - problematic-wise, current news, etc? thanks!
i listen to so many artists within this genre so don't hesitate to talk about any artist. i think the last thing news wise i saw was young b going by yanghongwon and ofc everything that had happened with iron :/ I'm also getting through binging smtm and after I'm done with that i'll watch hsr and rap:public (lmk if there's something i should watch first though!)
Feel free to comment your perspectives as the episode airs live or after the broadcast!
I just listened to Multillionaire by Dok2 and some songs aged so bad. For example Still Me or Spirit of Ecstasy have these too loud early 2010s beat which I actually enjoy on records like okasians boarding procedures. But yeah what do y’all think? 🤔
hi just curious because in the infinite cypher part, there’s a beat that made haon do his verse in closed case (the one where he starts with 2020 lyrics).
then i saw another video of tving (haon vs loopy vs kaogaii) and scrolled the comments, i read that haon sang his verse in his song chill.
just wondering if he’s the only one who has this sort of “advantage” or did the other leaders performed one of their verses in their released song/s too?
