Looking to vibe

I like jazz and I liked female vocalists. So I'm looking for a playlist that's a couple of hours long. I wouldn't care if it's a live stream from a club as long as the audio is good.

Looking for authentic, hip and modern Japanese jazz. Something you'd hear if you went into a jazz club in downtown Tokyo this weekend.

Visiting Jazz Bars/Music venues as an 18yo

Hey there! Im an 18 year old visiting Japan from Australia in January. I have a big interest in jazz, jazz fusion, funk etc and would love to check out some shows in Tokyo. I would love some recommendations but also id like to ask, will I be able to access these venues at my age. I am aware that the legal drinking age is 20, however I'm not interested in drinking, just enjoying the show. Thanks :)

Jazz Record Album Search

Hello everyone, for the past few hours I'm looking for a (I think) Japanese Jazz record that the cover resembles the picture below (my drawing skills are not the best) the lines are like pencil drawn, I think it's a popular record, but had no luck finding it. If anyone can help me, thank you all.

Tokyo Avant-garde connections

I’d love to bring my music group to Tokyo in the next year or so- we specialise in Avant garde music and new commissions. This November I have a chance to visit Tokyo and I want to get to know the scene! Any suggestions of venues to visit and organisation/groups to connect with who perform similar music. I’d like to connect with some people to make a tour happen

Kyoto jazz clubs or record store

I’m in Tokyo now. Agenda was too busy to tour music venues (next time). After a week of biking, we’ll be in Kyoto for a few days.

Any tips on jazz venues or dope record stores would be great appreciated.

Arigato!

Albums Like Scenery - Ryo Fukui

Hello all, I am here to ask for recommendations for albums that are semi-similar to Ryo Fukui’s “Scenery.” I guess to be more specific, more piano-drum focused Japanese jazz. Thanks in advance.

Where to visit in Japan if you’re a fan of 70s/80s/90s Japanese jazz fusion and city pop?

Currently in Japan and looking for places to visit where we could find some of this. Like a museum or tribute band or just live music or really anything. Big fan of Casiopea, T-SQUARE, Masayoshi Takanaka, YMO, Anri, Saki Kubota, etc. Willing to travel anywhere! Thanks in advance for the reccs :)
