Morning everyone. We're a small indie publisher and we got together with a group of indie creators to launch our second anthology, We Suck At Comics: Volume Two [kickstarter]. Our last one was very well received by the indie comics community and we're very excited to be doing this again. The whole philosophy behind the books was to highlight creators who aren't as well known but pair them with some seasoned veterans in the hopes that "high tide raises all boats". By backing our project, you'll be helping a bunch of amazing creators get their work noticed and hopefully kickstart their careers, not just an amazing book.
We personally want to thank everyone who backed the last book from Reddit, and we hope you enjoy this book.
Recap: When Black Sabbath (not the Beatles) became the world’s most famous band, the universe was changed, musically and otherwise. Lost arts, like Alchemy, were made common, schools taught about transfiguration and alternate science, Demons were summoned and some stuck around.
Lana LOVES music. She has played in bands all through high school and now, in college, she still plays in her ex’s fledgling metal band. She’s convinced their drummer to play her indie songs in secret. She's finishing up the best practice yet when they are drawn into a spiritual battle to keep metal on the top of the charts.
The first miniseries was a wild ride of Daywolves, Metal Cults and hybrid creatures.
The new 3-issue mini-series has Lana and the crew taking the next step in their music journey as they head to the mysterious Silver Mountain to record their first album. Their private recording session isn't so private when characters new and old start trying to get in on the jam session. Lana is losing her cool, when a mysterious voice calls her into the woods.

Looking for any comics set in/around or about 90’s rave culture if anyone has any recommendations?
Along the lines of films like ‘24 Hour Party People’, ‘Go’ and ‘Trainspotting’
I’ve made plenty of excuses for why I stopped working on this story, but the truth is, it all came down to disappointment. I started with passion, enjoying every moment of the process, but then I let myself get consumed by negative comments. I fell into the trap of focusing on the criticism from a small minority while completely ignoring the positive feedback. It’s incredible how much power a hateful comment can have—it was enough to drain my creative energy and make me stop altogether. I’m disappointed in myself for letting that happen. It took me five years to realize that I was holding myself back because of those comments. But now, I’m ready to finish the story of the one superhero (or antihero) who fights the battles we all face within ourselves: Alienox.
Searched and didn’t see anything recent so figured I’d ask: who are yall printing with? I’m currently using IngramSpark and Amazon KDP but they’re both expensive and neither does staple binding so they don’t “look” like single issue comics. Any suggestions?
I’ve been drawing my whole life but I tend to take pretty long time to get things right. In my day job I work in 3D. I’ve made the first 2 pages of my comic using 3D for the characters. I create the characters, pose them, share them in non-photo blue, print them on 11x17, draw the rest of the details in a panel and then ink.
I’m doing it this way to make character and quality consistent with my skills. I think pretty good a design and composition so I’m leaning into that.
My questing is, would this bother you?
TLDR: I’m using 3D characters (that I created) to speed up production. Do you hate it?
