Who is responsible for this jam & loss of time & money of people? When will these politicians realise this?

So, here's the thing about Prashant Dhawan, who’s supposed to be a UPSC teacher. You’d expect him to actually teach something important, right? But in this video, instead of focusing on the topic he’s just going off on random tangents, roasting people for no reason. It’s honestly frustrating, and it makes you wonder if he’s even serious about helping students. How can you trust someone who can't stick to what they're supposed to teach?

Edit 1: The actual reason of Imposing martial law
Martial law was strategically implemented to shield from impending legal consequences. With a looming impeachment over corruption charges that have persisted for two years involving both him and his wife, and an approval rating that had plummeted to just 11%, the timing of this move strongly suggests it was a calculated effort to avoid accountability

I identify as center-right. In theory, I align with the ideas of limited government, economic freedom, and the preservation of cultural values. But every time I debate with someone farther to the right of me, it inevitably ends in conflict.
Here’s a bit of context: I’m from Kerala. I eat beef. I’m Hindu. Yes, we exist. And yes, I find myself constantly at odds with the version of “Hindutva” being pushed by many in the Indian right wing.
The Problem with the Indian Right's Approach to Personal Freedom
The right wing in India seems to fundamentally misunderstand what personal rights mean. A key tenet of being “right of center” in many parts of the world, especially in the West, is the belief in minimal government interference in private matters. The right in the US or Europe, for example, fights against censorship, defends personal freedoms (such as the right to own firearms or consume what they want), and opposes government overreach into personal lives.
Contrast this with India, where the right often demands more government control over private life:
Censorship: They want movies, books, and art censored to fit their idea of morality.
Dietary Restrictions: They push for beef bans, not caring about regional practices or the personal choices of individuals.
Alcohol Prohibition: In several states, the right wing actively supports alcohol bans, as if the government has any right to dictate what adults can or cannot consume.
Moral Policing: From Valentine’s Day protests to dictating what women should wear or how young people should behave, they seem obsessed with controlling individual behavior.
Personal Freedom: A Blind Spot
Ask an Indian right-wing supporter about these issues, and they’ll likely justify them in the name of "culture" or "tradition." But who gets to define culture? India is a diverse country. What’s sacred in one region may not be as important in another. In Kerala, beef is a staple for many Hindus, Christians, and Muslims alike. Why should the cultural sensibilities of North Indian states dictate what happens in the South?
It’s baffling to me that the same people who claim to want smaller government in the economy advocate for massive government interference in personal spaces. This hypocrisy alienates people like me who value both cultural heritage and individual freedoms.
Why This Hypocrisy Hurts the Right
This overreach undermines the right's credibility. By conflating governance with moral policing, they drive away moderates like me. A strong conservative movement should stand for protecting freedoms, not restricting them. Instead, the Indian right ends up looking authoritarian and hypocritical.
I often find myself admiring the way the Western right defends personal rights, even when I don’t agree with their policies. In India, we’re missing that balance. The right here seems more interested in controlling people than empowering them.
My Question to the Indian Right:
If you truly believe in the principles of liberty, small government, and freedom, why do you support policies that restrict personal choice? Why is it so hard to accept that India’s strength lies in its diversity—not just in language or religion, but in how people choose to live their lives?
I want to hear from others—do you feel the same way? Or do you think the Indian right is justified in its approach?
Recently, I was scrolling through the Mumbai sub and saw a post which a girl made about getting harassed on the metro. It was perfectly valid and I completely supported her call for change until she began to throw the blame on "immigrants" a.k.a Biharis for being the perpretators of most harrasments on metros which was deeply racist and classist imo.
Like are we seriously beginning to call our own people immigrants as if they have immigrated from Syria to Europe or something? And just because a man is not physically attractive to you or is dark-skinned or a harasser doesn't mean he is "Bihari" smh.
Even in the comments of the various reels I see about Punjabi students having fun in Canada (like hosting a public bhangra event or Gurpurab celebrations), I see Indians accounts saying "deport them" and enabling the white racists already present in the comment section.
I know we have our tensions with Canada but there is nothing wrong in celebrating your native culture in a foreign land as long as you're not disturbing the peace of society. Even Hindus do it in the USA, so why make Sikh/Punjabi students in Canada feel guilty about it? And to the Indians who write "deport them" on such comment sections, I hope you realize that if the Canadian govt. actually deports them, they will be coming back here to India only.
This is related to India since the OCCRP has it's "investigative journalists" aka its intelligence agents in India as well. Also they have targeted Adani in multiple reports. I am not defending Adani but we have to know the origin of the people who claiming to report the truth
I got the original link from Shiv Aroor's twitter account : https://x.com/ShivAroor/status/1863814832199188614
Case in point is this account of a user on twitter known as Ravi Nair who is a OCCRP journalist
Link to the investigation is here :
Article 1 : The hidden links between a giant of investigative journalism and the US government | Mediapart
Here are a few excerpts
>This investigation can reveal that it was a US army officer and civil servant, David Hodgkinson, who made the creation of the OCCRP possible. A jurist by training, he was deployed by the US army in 25 countries, including Iraq and Panama. He later continued to serve as an army reservist while also occupying several senior posts at the Department of State and the White House, concerned with issues of foreign affairs, counter-terrorism and intelligence. He today has the rank of colonel (retired), and works for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) which coordinates the activity of different US secret services.
>In the spring of 2007, Hodgkinson, then with the rank of major in the reserve force, was director for security and law enforcement programmes in the State Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs. Drew Sullivan said that he was advised to contact Hodgkinson by USAID, because the agency could not fund OCCRP. Following a meeting between the two men, Hodgkinson agreed to organise the financing of the organization, via funds from the State department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), which is tasked with pushing foreign countries to fight drugs trafficking and organised crime. Because the INL has no competence in media activities, it transferred the case of the OCCRP and its funding to the management of USAID. Consequently, it is, on paper, USAID which released Washington’s first financing of the ORCCP in May 2008, in the form of a payment of 1.7 million dollars – for the period up to November 2020 – made out to Drew Sullivan’s company JDG.
>Since its creation, the OCCRP has received at least 47 million dollars from the US government. Added to that is 1.1 million dollars it has received from the European Union, and 14 million dollars received from six European countries: Britain (7 million dollars), Sweden (4 million dollars), with the remainder coming from Denmark, Switzerland, Slovakia and France (whose foreign affairs ministry last year donated 100,000 dollars).
>But USAID confirmed to this investigation that the OCCRP was allowed a “partial branding waiver”, which means it is not required to follow the usually required process of acknowledgment and instead refer to the USAID support in a more discreet manner.
>This investigation has also discovered that the OCCRP does not have the right to investigate US matters with the money provided by Washington. “The policy that we have is that we don't report on a country with their own money,” Sullivan told NDR.
>But for Sullivan, that has no detrimental effect on the independence of the OCCRP: *“*It does advance American foreign policy when you have good investigative reporters around the world. That's why they gave us the grant in the first place.
This is an Eye opening report on how intelligence assets work via dishonest and biased journalism to shake citizens confidence in their own elected governments.
