Update: thank you for trialing our business!

Some of you may have seen our post a couple of months ago where we were looking for people to trial our business, for those who didn't here's a quick rundown. A friend and I thought it would be cool if you could turn any photo you want into a paint by numbers kit. That way you can paint your dog, cat, partner, the whole family or whatever you want without having to be an artist.

We looked up the idea and found that the current stores in the market were ridiculously expensive or only offered kits without a frame or with a DIY frame (who wants to put together their own frame? Don't you just want to open the box and start painting). So we looked around and talked to a bunch of suppliers and eventually we were able to produce custom paint by number kits cheaper then anywhere else and already framed.

We reached out to you here on Reddit asking you to test them out at cost price and we've received some amazing feedback as a result. Thank you if you were one of our OG customers! We want to continue to grow and get more feedback and reviews though so we're re-opening the offer in case you missed it the first time around or you want to order some more kits.

You can use the code "COSTPRICEREDDIT" to get our kits for cost price (our margins are pretty slim right now, we want to be as affordable as possible). You can get up to 4 kits at that price so feel free to buy a few and plan a date night, family activity or just get your Christmas shopping done early. If you've already ordered with that code it has no been reset so you can get the deal again!

We look forward to getting more feedback and hopefully you'll love our kits enough to spread the word to your family and friends!

I’m hopefully looking for someone to sublet my 1bedroom apartment at Adams Village at the Mill. The entire apartment would be yours; no roommates.

I have paid the rent for December so you’d get a month of free rent

(Rent is $1250 a month( excluding utilities which avg $70-$100), Lease ends 5/23/25, renewal optional; ground floor unit; Move-in ready.)

Apply directly if interested with the link below, and DM me to finalize sublet for the free rent option in Dec.

Did anybody here take Nicholas LaRacuente for CSCI-C 241 last sem?

I am trying to sign up for Discrete Mathematics class for next semester. I am having tough time deciding b/w Erik Wennstrom and Nicholas LaRacuente. Even though I know Wennstrom has been teaching the course for a while, he kinda revamped the entire thing this semester, the TAs are kinda arrogant, and he barely touches the concepts he tests on the HWs.

Need help getting back to campus (go express all booked)

So I’m stuck in a bad spot where go express doesn’t have any booking left and I need to get back to campus. Uber is almost $150. I was wondering if anyone knew any other service for getting to campus or a way to cut my uber cost (I don’t mind it taking some extra time).

did any of you hear the jets go by campus?

I was really scared! I was at Ballentine Hall participating in a group discussion when a plane flew incredibly close to the building. It swooped down low, and I heard it passing by. What happened? Why did it fly over campus? Did it shake you up too?

Contemporary Dance BFA questions

Hello! I’m a 20F ex dancer who decided not to pursue the bfa after high school. Due to mental health issues I have stopped dancing completely and majorly regret it. My technique and body strength is not what it used to be, but after taking some time away from IU I might go back and try to pursue dance. Now, my question for anyone in the program is how competitive is the audition process? I 100% know I could get in if I really put my mind to it, but I’d like to talk to some people who have gone through the process so I know what I need to do and what I’m getting myself into.

What’s the MSIS Final Interview and Jumpstart Program Really Like at Kelley?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been selected for the final interview for the MSIS program at Kelley School of Business, and I’m super excited (and a bit nervous!). I’m also curious about the Jumpstart Program for international students that they offer.

For those of you who have gone through the interview process or attended the Jumpstart Program, could you share your experiences?

Any advice, insights, or things you wish you’d known beforehand would be super helpful. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

When is Indiana University getting a Phillip Dybvig statue?

We have another nobel prize winning IU alum, but he has no statue. Ostrom got a freaking statue. Why not phil?

Kelley Alternatives

So, I came to Kelley from out of state hoping to get in to Kelley as a standard admit through my Freshman year. I went through a difficult pledge-ship and found myself lacking before finals. Getting in to Kelley is now dependent on my final 3 weeks, but just in case I am trying to be realistic about other options.

My 2 options are to transfer to another business school, like a Creighton, OU, or possibly a stronger business school if the applications go well, or I can grind my way through non-Kelley.

My question is: How good are Kelley alternatives if I want to go in to finance? Would an Economics and a Public Finance double major in addition to very solid extracurriculars and a Kelley minor look better than other business schools?

Indianapolis vs Bloomington microbiology PhD program

I was filling out the application for a PhD program in microbiology at Indiana University, when I read that my application was only for the Bloomington campus and not for the Indianapolis campus. Looking into it I learned that they are two different programs that are not associated with each other. What are the pros and cons of each program? I'm more interested in comparing the two programs than the cities themselves. I would like to avoid applying to both programs, as I do not qualify for an application fee waiver, and I'm already applying to other schools as well.

First Come First Serve at Winter Commencement

Hello! I'm graduating this winter and noticed guest seating was first come first serve, the auditorium only seats 3200 and i believe there are around 1000 graduates so the math aint mathing.

Wondering if anyone has done winter commencement and noticed any problems or an overfilled theater. I have a large family but I want to be mindful of space for others!

Kelley DA Question

I have a 3.9 Weighted GPA and a 1380 SAT. I meet the DA requirements but my parents say my stats aren't good enough to get in because everyone will be applying for DA and there's no way for Kelley to admit all of them. Is this true?

2nd Round Interview at IUB Kelley for Fall 2025

Hello there Reddit,

I gave my first round of interview for IUB Kelley for MS in MIS (Management in Information science) on 7th November. This interview was a group discussion and went on for half an hour. I wanted to ask if anyone had got their second round of interviews yet for IUB Kelley for MS in MIS for Fall 2025.

Thank you so much for helping through these anxious times 🫶🏻🙏

Anyone need a ride to the airport for Thanksgiving?

I drive frequently with ride shares in Bloomington and I know with Thanksgiving coming up there will be a lot of students needing ridesto the airport. If you’re wanting to avoid paying $120-150 to get a ride there through one of the apps please reach out to me. I can give you my number and driving profile so you know I’m legit. I’ll be available all weekend/week for airport drives at a cheaper rate. Please reach out!

Does anyone even work on school work during the Thanksgiving break?

I'm curious about how everyone spends their break, as it's a question that comes up often. Do you find yourself catching up on work-related tasks during the holiday, or do you take the opportunity to travel and enjoy some leisure time? I think this question is relevant to students across all majors, and I would love to hear about your experiences and plans!

Why Kelley expensive online MBA and not a Cheap MBA?

Genuinely want to know if it's really worth it for me to go to IU Kelley MBA.

I'm considering doing an MBA and since I currently reside in Indiana, IU is one of my options. However, top MBA schools in my opinion are ridiculous expensive... I graduated with no debt from a cheap (but good) school for my undergrad and still landed a corporate job. I've seen University of Illinois - Champaign and Ball State have online MBAs that go for about $18K-$24K for the whole program... Not from Indiana so not sure what is the reputation for Ball State.

For those of you who went with to Kelley online MBA:

  • Was it worth it? OR would you rather go back in time and do a cheap/er MBA?
  • Did you saw a good ROI?
  • How long did it took you to pay your loan?
  • What do you do as a job now days?
  • How much did your salary increase and how much did you start making after the MBA?
  • Did the MBA helped you climb the ladder faster than other people at work?

Thank you!
