Hello! I’m a 20F ex dancer who decided not to pursue the bfa after high school. Due to mental health issues I have stopped dancing completely and majorly regret it. My technique and body strength is not what it used to be, but after taking some time away from IU I might go back and try to pursue dance. Now, my question for anyone in the program is how competitive is the audition process? I 100% know I could get in if I really put my mind to it, but I’d like to talk to some people who have gone through the process so I know what I need to do and what I’m getting myself into.
No, there is no mercy rule in college football
Does anyone know the acceptance rate to the nursing school? Thanks!
Hey everyone,
I’ve been selected for the final interview for the MSIS program at Kelley School of Business, and I’m super excited (and a bit nervous!). I’m also curious about the Jumpstart Program for international students that they offer.
For those of you who have gone through the interview process or attended the Jumpstart Program, could you share your experiences?
Any advice, insights, or things you wish you’d known beforehand would be super helpful. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!
What time does tailgating start for tomorrow's 7pm Park Ave Grass lot???
is standard or multi-lingual easier?
We have another nobel prize winning IU alum, but he has no statue. Ostrom got a freaking statue. Why not phil?
i applied before nov 1st to kelley with slightly lower gpa, does kelley evaluate essays ecs etc in the initial time i applied or will they evaluate essays ecs after i appeal only?
hey guys it says 3.8 gpa but im from cbse and we have our scores in % wise, is the gpa your 10th 11th or 12th grade final score?
hey guys, i have slightly lower than prescribed gpa and applied before november 1st.
do i wait till decisions r out to appeal or appeal right now?
do they look at your profile including essays without appeal or just the gpa and sat
So, I came to Kelley from out of state hoping to get in to Kelley as a standard admit through my Freshman year. I went through a difficult pledge-ship and found myself lacking before finals. Getting in to Kelley is now dependent on my final 3 weeks, but just in case I am trying to be realistic about other options.
My 2 options are to transfer to another business school, like a Creighton, OU, or possibly a stronger business school if the applications go well, or I can grind my way through non-Kelley.
My question is: How good are Kelley alternatives if I want to go in to finance? Would an Economics and a Public Finance double major in addition to very solid extracurriculars and a Kelley minor look better than other business schools?
I was filling out the application for a PhD program in microbiology at Indiana University, when I read that my application was only for the Bloomington campus and not for the Indianapolis campus. Looking into it I learned that they are two different programs that are not associated with each other. What are the pros and cons of each program? I'm more interested in comparing the two programs than the cities themselves. I would like to avoid applying to both programs, as I do not qualify for an application fee waiver, and I'm already applying to other schools as well.
Hello! I'm graduating this winter and noticed guest seating was first come first serve, the auditorium only seats 3200 and i believe there are around 1000 graduates so the math aint mathing.
Wondering if anyone has done winter commencement and noticed any problems or an overfilled theater. I have a large family but I want to be mindful of space for others!

Hey y’all! I am looking to study abroad in Spring ‘26 and need one semester housing for Fall ‘25. Does anyone know of any places that offer? Looking for it to be fairly close to Kelley if possible. Thanks!
I have a 3.9 Weighted GPA and a 1380 SAT. I meet the DA requirements but my parents say my stats aren't good enough to get in because everyone will be applying for DA and there's no way for Kelley to admit all of them. Is this true?
Win or lose , I think we should go to Ohio and riot. I'm not even a college football or a sports fan , but at least we could go to a dispensary!! Lol.. enjoy your Saturday Indiana !
Hello there Reddit,
I gave my first round of interview for IUB Kelley for MS in MIS (Management in Information science) on 7th November. This interview was a group discussion and went on for half an hour. I wanted to ask if anyone had got their second round of interviews yet for IUB Kelley for MS in MIS for Fall 2025.
Thank you so much for helping through these anxious times 🫶🏻🙏
I drive frequently with ride shares in Bloomington and I know with Thanksgiving coming up there will be a lot of students needing ridesto the airport. If you’re wanting to avoid paying $120-150 to get a ride there through one of the apps please reach out to me. I can give you my number and driving profile so you know I’m legit. I’ll be available all weekend/week for airport drives at a cheaper rate. Please reach out!
I'm curious about how everyone spends their break, as it's a question that comes up often. Do you find yourself catching up on work-related tasks during the holiday, or do you take the opportunity to travel and enjoy some leisure time? I think this question is relevant to students across all majors, and I would love to hear about your experiences and plans!
Genuinely want to know if it's really worth it for me to go to IU Kelley MBA.
I'm considering doing an MBA and since I currently reside in Indiana, IU is one of my options. However, top MBA schools in my opinion are ridiculous expensive... I graduated with no debt from a cheap (but good) school for my undergrad and still landed a corporate job. I've seen University of Illinois - Champaign and Ball State have online MBAs that go for about $18K-$24K for the whole program... Not from Indiana so not sure what is the reputation for Ball State.
For those of you who went with to Kelley online MBA:
Thank you!

I was wondering if anyone has experience finding 6-month or monthly leases in Bloom? I was looking for a place near Kelley (~1 - 1.5 miles, preferably, but 2-ish okay too) and have some options but was looking to see if anyone knew of more options. This would be for first semester next year. If anyone could help I'd sincerely appreciate it.
Hey! If you have 2 minutes to help me with a 6 question survey for class I would really appreciate it :) here is the link: https://forms.gle/FPS3MADQemFQ3LFp9
I had a $1799 e-bike stolen at the johnston hall bike racks 2 days ago. I use this for doordash gig work and for grocery trips. It was locked up with a u-lock too, but I should have double locked it and put an airtag. There needs to be more cameras around campus or maybe even another bike garage.
Basically the title. I am really keen on getting ad admit from IUB. I really like the AI/ML track jere. Can someone tell me if I stand a chance as in international student?

I know a lot of people are struggling to cope after the election, and I’d like to work with some community organizations in Bloomington to provide free classes to teens and young adults in several areas:
How to use your gifts and talents (eg art, drama, music, writing, etc) to make the world a better place, advocating for yourself and vulnerable populations. This would include political advocacy skills, including how to set up a protest, how to harass your representatives, how to run for local office, etc. It would also include volunteer training for non-profits).
How to navigate and cope with the world as it is now (e.g. mental health support, art therapy, self defense, journaling, crisis de-escalation, connections to support groups, etc.). This would also include classes/groups geared towards specific vulnerable populations (e.g. an LGBTQ+ Dungeons and Dragons group) and towards helping people connect across boundaries (e.g. How to be an ally to BIPOC.)
How to fill in the gaps that Indiana public schools are not allowed to teach (Critical Race Theory, How abortions work, Life beyond the binary, What is the “progressive agenda”, etc).
I honestly think that finding knowledgeable adults to teach the classes won’t be too hard. So many people are wanting to DO something right now, and community organizations are gearing up for a hard four years. But I want to make sure there is actually a demand for something like this for teens and young adults. And what kinds of classes and sessions would be the most helpful.
This is the shape my personal post-election breakdown has taken. Please chime in with any feedback 🙂
TL/DR: What kinds of free classes/sessions would be helpful for progressive youth in the next few years?
