Hi guys im considering buying either a Dubia PVC 48x24x48, or repti zoo with the same dimensions for my still young girl which one would you guys recommend, I tend to let her free roam when im home but with my job its hard so im opting in getting her a "big" habitat for now whilst she grows which one would you recommend
So for context, my dad randomly gave me a baby iguana, I don’t know what to do, I did give it food like a banana. He/she is sleeping now, I got a heat pad, put it inside a cloth and gave it to the iguana for warmth, I need tips and anything else plz help
I just purchased this reptisun 10.0 T5 HO uvb light in hopes that it is the right amount of uvb for my green iguana? I know that ppl usually recommend Arcadia but this is what they had at the pet store.
I’m away on a trip and my mother picked up the Arcadia earth pro tortoise diet for testudo tortoises instead of the usual mazuri low starch tortoise diet I usually get. I messaged Arcadia but didn’t get a response and thought this would be my best bet. I’ll also add I only use it to supplement fresh vegetables and fruit. I would rather it not go to waste!
my iguana has skin stuck to the tip of its tail, can you give me tips on how to remove it?
Please help me know what’s going on…
Where he's been healing from a broken leg, I was told to give him calcium powder everyday with his food for a bit. I just stopped giving it everyday today I've noticed his thighs and the base of his tail feel fuller. Is he just eating good would should I be concerned for his kidney? He has another follow up appointment coming up next week. I've just been stressed worrying about it 😅 Opinions please?
hi. my lovely 2 years old iguana has the symptoms of MBD. we went to vet. we think he is male, i always cared about his diet, but that wasnt enough, we caught MBD. so, please help, give me the best diet schedule for making it stop. i cant live seeing him like this, he is literally my life. we have UVB, we started using calcium after the goddamn incident. please give me a good diet. i would never post here smth like that but i really need help. i dont want to see him sad. its hell to me.
edit: for now, the only problem is he cant move his back legs.
He’s about 6 ft long and very friendly thanks
He always gets so moody when he's shedding. He cracks me up, I swear. I love how he tries to slap me, it kills me.
This is Inigo Montoya. We rescued him inside a building when it was very, very cold out. He’s very friendly and doesn’t seem to mind being handled.
We have four very nice ball python set ups so we’re a little familiar with reptile and habitats although I know his care is going to be much different
We currently have a very large tank. I want to say 55 gallon that we’re going to use until we can get a much larger enclosure set up for for him/her.
Researching UV lights and I see Arcadia mentioned quite a bit, but I’ve also seen a reptisun T5 at our local pet shop… Is there a specific output we should be looking for?
He hasn’t tried to eat anything from us. We only had fruit around the house and I know he probably needs turnips or mustard greens so we will work on getting him that ASAP.
Any other advice is welcome!!
TIA
I could literally just sit and admire him all day ♡
Hello! I believe its still a bit too early to be able to tell but just in case (im too curious and impatient).. I think this lil guy is around a year old Best photo i could take :')
My sweet baby hurt their left front arm and has a swollen joint at the long toe on the back left. Vet is coming Friday to assess. Not looking for any medical advice or opinions. Just positive thoughts for my baby.
I think my Iggy is female but any care advice would help!
