Curious

Been keeping a bearded dragon a while ago and I’m not gonna get one anytime soon but how do you care for an iguana? Are they similar (other than size and humidity) to bearded dragons? They are big and live in jungles so it has to be humid but are their basking temps and diets similar? Just thinking about it because I love iguanas because they are so big and cool.

So many secrets

This new baby is such a gossip, is there any way to get him to stop yapping? I must have heard what every animal that comes to the window has said over a hundred times. Not to mention he continues on about the differences of greens and their taste.

I want to adopt an Iguana but I don't know how to take care of it

I want to build its cage outside my house but I live in south bay area at California and it's cold here at night, there is no snow but it's cold, and the air is dry. what can I do to keep it warm? And how to take care of it? Is the dry air is a bad thing?

Help me please

I have a fully grown green iguana that has been depressed lately. Can anyone help me out with the light essentials or maybe foods I could be feeding her. I think she needs a new cage because the zen habitat is a little too small for her

Vitamin K any idea how much is too much?

I have been drying and powdering some greens to prep for trying to make iguana kibble again and noticed I have a few of my greens are a bit high in vitamin k. Has anyone ever had an issue with hypervitaminosis K? Or any vitamin other than D? I'm not having any luck finding info on a problematic dose it might be high enough not to matter but just not finding any sources.

Spicy Iguana

Hey everyone. I really don’t know what to do. I have a 4-5 year old male iguana. I’ve had him since he was a baby just 4-5 inches long. I few years back I joined the marine corps and he spent about a year living with my parents. He was still young, less than a year old at that point. When I came back to get him he was way bigger and way meaner. They never really socialized with him or went in his room. Just fed him and left. Took some Time but he ended up being the calmest guy ever. I could hold him, pet him, feed him by hand, let out to roam and not worry about him at all. Last year I moved to Fl and due to their laws I couldn’t take him with me. I was worried he would regress but to my surprise he never did. I would visit every few months and he was exactly the same. Often excited to see me. Until now. I saw him at Christmas and he was totally himself. I came back 2 months later at the end of February and now I can barely get near him. I’ve spent the last two months trying to work with him but he is NOT having it. He doesn’t really tail strike me which is normally what he’d do if aggravated. He head bobs, runs from me in his cage, and if I persist enough he will charge me and try to bite me. Idk what happened and I miss my buddy
