Hey reptile lovers! 🦎🐢 I’ve been researching different greens for my reptile’s diet, and it got me thinking: Are microgreens a better choice than traditional veggies? Here’s what I’ve found so far, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Microgreens 🌱: These are packed with nutrients, often offering more vitamins and minerals than mature veggies per gram. Because they’re young plants, they have a softer texture, which might make them easier to digest for some reptiles. Plus, they’re super easy to grow at home if you have limited space!
Mature Veggies 🥬🥕: Traditional veggies, like collard greens, kale, and carrots, are staples for many reptiles. They offer essential fiber and variety in texture, which some reptiles seem to love. However, they can sometimes lack the nutrient density of microgreens.

a few months ago i had my beloved iguana pass away. i adopted her and she was fairly friendly. i recently bought my blue iguana (rita morgan) and i just had some questions. she’s very scared. a lot. when it comes to holding. she frantically runs and squirms. is there any way to tame her down a bit? i understand it takes a while but are there any tips? thank you!
Hello I'm a happy owner of a male green iguana. Named Malfoy.
I've had him for 4 years and he is handtame and loves food, and In general used to be a sweetheart
Recently he has started to get aggressive out of the blue and did end up bitting my face. I've researched it is his male instinct and I was told it would mellow down depending on if it's mating season or not.
It's been half a year and he still launches at me with aggressive intend and I'm now with child and he makes me a bit nervous as he keeps leaping and bashing his head against the cage to get at me and it ruins the time I want to train or interact with him.
Does anyone have an idea on what I should do? Anything that would help would be very appreciated.
He eating good 🌿

Hi all hopefully this is acceptable.
Earlier I saw an iguana on the property and I was swimming and found this in my pool while on vacation. When I looked up iguana poop it seem similar. I am worried that I swam with poop.
Okay so. She was originally my iguana that my mom got me for christmas 2 years ago. But she took her away from me because she liked her and she just recently had to leave her apartment for a month because her apartment has black mold that was making her sick. I left for my friends house for the weekend and just came back yesterday. My grandma had set food out for here on saturday after i left. Yes she ate friday and every day before that. When i came back i seen the food she left out for her and she didnt eat it. But she ate when i came and gave her food? Im wondering why? If someone knows please tell me because i might leave for my friends again this weekend and i am worried shes gonna starve herself when im not here.
I absolutely love green iguanas, they're probably my favorite reptile. Most of the reptile community speaks pretty negatively about them though. People say they're aggressive, unpredictable, and make terrible pets. Do you guys think this reputation is deserved?
I also wonder if maybe they just need more one on one socialization than other reptiles. How common is it to raise one from a young age, socialize it well, and still have it grow up to be a violent raging jerk?
