I've been getting leftover gearbits with the tracker, but apparently Im still missing gearbits, the tracker says its 2 left, but both the links it gives me to go get them are either to a timestamp that doesnt have anything for 2 minutes until an enemy drops the gearbit(which I already got) and another where I get into a cave with a monolith and a gearbit I also already got. Anyone else had something similar happen to them? There's another tracker I found, but that one told me I had all keys when I was missing one and says Im missing twenty something gearbits so no help there either
title. was just wondering
Forgot to send this here, but a short while ago I made a steam guide with a 100% save file, with the exception of all the gearbits. Everything else is unlocked, modules, guns, upgrades, outfits, monoliths, keys, etc. Here is the link and have fun! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3361297355

I picked hld up two years ago and while I didn't care much for the game at the time, I've slowly realized how cool the art and the music is. I haven't even touched the game itself in over a year, but I listen to the soundtrack all the time with how good disasterpeace did building the game's soundscape. Definitely makes me wanna pick up the game again.
hi! i literally just started playing the game today and i can’t figure out how to get to this area. it’s probably super simple but my brains tired 😭
I just heard about this game for the first time. It made it on the State of the Arc podcast as it cracked their top 10. I am interested in playing but prefer physical copies. The NA version goes for $85 or so on ebay. The Japanese import version is $25 from Japan. However, I don't know if it has English support and I have no experiences with Japanese ports and how that will work. So, are yall aware if this game would be playable with English support on the Japanese version?
New player, going in blind. Also played Elden Ring and Hollow knight, and Animal Well, and enjoyed them. Came here after playing Tunic which I found to be a masterpiece.
Yet I don't find much that's interesting me in HLD. The pixel is not super appealing to me. I just cleared the east boss, the toad.
Tbh I'm not finding the same interest I found in Tunic. The art style makes the exploration less enticing for me as I find it "ugly". Came back from East expedition with 4 triangles and 6 upgrade bytes. Not sure what to upgrade as nothing seems too worth it.
So I felt the need to go online and search a bit what all the praise was about. And people just keep saying figure it out. Honestly I don't see what so good here.
Tunic feels miles away from this for me.
Will I find something "more" if I keep pushing? Or is the game just not for me?
Hey guys, I’m a new player players who is discovering the game going in completely blind, and what the hell am I playing?? Is there a story to the game? What am I suppose to do? Where am I suppose to go? Why does the combat feel so dull? I’m a veteran player who completed with kinda ease Dark Souls, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, etc, but this games is freaking hard as hell…
I went out from the place you wake up and went to the right, I fought various ennemies and even the very hard battles did not award me good rewards so I don’t really get it… I also don’t understand if I finished a dungeon or not when I’m inside and I get a way out? Now I’m on the left part and it feels easier but yet again, where do I go? What should I do? I understand that there are bosses to beat, but what’s the purpose of fighting them?
Earliest post I can find it in was a neogaf post from sep 2014 talking about the October build of that year.
The lunar google doodle today had music which immediately struck a chord. It reminded me distinctly of Hyper Light Drifter's soundtrack. Anyone else feel this connection?
I checked the credits, and the sound/music designer [edit: for the doodle!] is listed as Nick Zammuto.
It's fucking cool man

Off by a day!
I’ve heard way way too many good things about this game. Honestly hoping for another “hollow knight” moment when playing this I heard panacea for the first time two years ago and knew It was inevitable I buy it. Listening it to it at work today fueled me to buy it instantly! Going into it completely blind wish me luck!!
Lengthy title but the question is all there. Considering getting a copy for my Switch, which I can carry around, but I plan to get a Steam Deck as well and, as the title implies, I'm disappointed that my desktop save in theory would not transfer to my Steam Deck when I get that. Is there a way to work around this or no?
Funny thing that happened
Whether you're fighting one enemy, a boss, or many enemies, it just feels so good, so clean and executive
I have been playing Hyperlight drifter for a while and I have cleared the north zone (not completely but have beaten the boss and done some other exploration) I also found out about the '8 module door' and like a lot of players i was also left wondering about how do I open it?! But some how i found out that the door requires 4 more modules ತ_ʖತ. But by that time I had already left the North zone and was in the east zone now l, fast forward to now and I have collected 6 of the 8 modules and even defeated the boss, now I am still looking for the 7 and 8 module i lf I am sure. I can actually still see 1 module not on the map but in a area that I was in earlier but i couldn't find a way to get to it so I just left it and there that's it. Someone please help me with this, I'll be very happy and I'll appreciate it :D ^_________^
