Hey guys. First ever post here, and I'm looking for possible advice.

So I have a 2004 VZ Commodore Lumina, just had some major works done on it, namely the rear brake pads, transmission seal housing, tailshaft centre bearing and the actual tailshaft, front strut tops, and power steering hose.

Got it back after 9 hours at the local mechanic, and for the rest of the day/night it was fine, no hassles or anything. This morning, however, I got in and started it up, and the "Check Powertrain" light came on.

Not too happy, considering I just spent a good load of money to fix it, but now it has another issue(s).

I understand I need the problem diagnosed, I plan to take it back to the mechanic Monday morning. Until then, am I good to drive it short distances without harming any components?

So I bought a VL maybe 2 years back that was cheap and in great condition, running and all the bits were there.

I got the car and then La Nina hit and we had rain for ages, this literally flooded VL. I cleaned what I could but it still manages to get water in it and to this day I'm still cleaning it. The mold was (is probably still) on everything.

I was going to just sell it and call it quits but is there any chance I can repair the car so it's not a health hazard to drive? The amount of people who ask to buy it makes me think where there is a will there is a way.

I am tempted to sell it to one of the neighbours who wants it and he'll probably use parts or crush it. Even the spray painter doing one of my cars wants to buy it, not sure what to do.

Would anyone be able to help me, I’ve currently got a Vk commodore Vacationer and looking at getting the correct time period sticker that ran down the side.. would anyone know what colour the sticker was for a Zodiac blue paint Vk?

Tldr - would a vacuum leak throw out my TPS sensor?

Last week I had to replace my injectors on my LS3, usual errors and such (misfires, service ESP warning, flashing engine light).

As soon as I replaced them, the engine light went away and it seemed mostly fixed, however I also hadn't torqued down the fuel rail to 10nm yet as I didn't have a torque wrench, since then I have retorqued the fuel rail and there's no vacuum leaks. But for a few days, while I was diagnosing and finding this issue, my fuel ratios were off, and it caused an engine light to reappear, and had a noticeable loss in power at low RPMs.

Leak fixed, car runs amazing... But engine light still on... Is it possible my TPS sensor needs resetting now? Could have running with an air leak near an injector have thrown out fuel/air tables?

Has anyone else had something like this? TIA

According to my local Holden service centre. Holden don't have any towbars left for this vehicle. Does anyone know anywhere I could get a towbar supplied and fitted to my car? Hayman Reese still do not have a towbar for it either.

Vz commodore fuel cap won’t come open. Tried the lever and it won’t come out. What to do?

Did the Torana come with a special/different keychain when released? Looking for a gift and the ones on google don't help me in knowing if they are aftermarket or original.

Hey all, needing some help. Recently I discovered a single broken wire along with a broken earth on the body without a wire, after looking further I realised that my oil pressure switch isn’t plugged in and the plug is missing. I found one online to buy but it’s has 3 wires so I’m hoping someone has a photo or diagram for me to use to rewire the new one correctly. Thanks in advance

As per title, I have the car light with the spanner on my dash. It’s been like this for weeks. I’ve scanned it and no fault code has appeared. When I reset the light it stays off for maybe a few days and then comes back on. I recently changed spark plugs and coil pack so wondering does that have something to do with it? Car appears to be driving fine, maybe feels a bit sluggish than normal if I was to be picky about it.

Took car in for service to find out gearbox is semi gone, the transmission housing has a leak in it and the waterpump is gone aswell.. urgently needing gearbox sent up to mackay qld. Wanting to buy one as south as Brisbane for a decent price and that runs well etc

Please help uve got a young one to look out for aswell

Don’t know a whole heap about the rodeos apart from they’re basically a rebadged dmax.

Anyway looking at a 3.0 turbo diesel rodeo. It’s done around 370,000ks. Are these diesel rodeos any good or just going to end up being a money pit?

Help! I’ve had this issue for years on end and only now I am looking to fix it! I have a Commodore SV6, VE Series 2, MY10.5. And essentially my check engine light has stayed on 24/7, even though there is nothing visibly wrong. The engine scanning tool doesn’t seem like it can find anything either. I was told that it could potentially be a software issue but unsure of that. Was wondering if anyone else had this issue? And if so, were you able to fix it?

Got a Vp fuel tank that I'm planning on putting in my VL and have no clue if the pump is any good. I tried to remove the fuel pump but it's held on with small bolts as compared to the VLs flat head screws.

Does any one know what size these might be? They're inbetween a 7 and 8 mm socket but I didn't have a 7.5 mm handy.
