I ran into a cheater on Halo MCC and i recorded him using a mod tool that allowed him to essentially hijack the server. also spoofing names.
I raised this with halo support who acted and banned him but in turn now ive been banned and i just found out that he used his mod tool to spoof my name and then recorded fake footage to report me with.
Is there any way halo support can verify this internally? its easy for this player to fake evidence and have me banned from the game but surely they can see that i have never ran exploits through game/log history?????
[The mods here will probably remove this so for the record i did mention this to the support team. i just hope they understand what im saying. ]
I’m not really much of a lore guy but I’ve always wondered if it is possible to lift as heavy as a spartan could naturally without the use of PED’s
I just want to play with more people firefights, but I haven't find any servers
Random H:Inf concept art
Want to suggest it to a friend for coop but I've heard there are technical issues with coop networking.
How bad is it, does it affect all games, and is it fixable or worth suggesting at all?
Appreciated
I’ve really enjoyed the first two seasons of Halo and feel like it’s the best military Sci-Fi show since Battlestar Galactica.
The constant complaint I see online (mostly YouTube) is people being incensed that it doesn’t follow, I guess, there were Halo paperback books at some point? And some minor changes from games to the show in terms of the origin of, for instance, The Flood, but I just wonder — do we get so clouded by our adherence to an idea, that we can’t recognize something being good when it’s good?
I’ve literally watched people say that Master Chief’s character was “assassinated” because he 1) took off his helmet over the course of the show and 2) had bedroom time with the enemy.
I genuinely had to ask myself if these reactions were satire…until other people made the same comment.
Halo the show reminds me MOST of a retelling of Greek and Roman folklore. That’s the vibe, and it shares a lot of the themes. I feel like if this show didn’t have some obscure books that accompanied a video game, all the people who like sci fi and military sci fi would be enjoying it. But because there’s this weird obsession with hating anything modern that attempts to retell aspects of some beloved IP, it’s automatically despised if it doesn’t adhere to “the lore”.
It reminds me of those people who were up in arms over The Force Awakens because it didn’t take the existing Star Wars novels and adapt them. That…just wasn’t going to happen.
As someone read every Resident Evil novelization, I can tell you, those things are written for the DIEHARDS, not the normies.
This is a Halo show for normies. As a Halo normy (person who casually played the first three games as they came out and cared mostly about the FPS aspects, not the story), this show is awesome. I would feel the exact same way if they came out with a Call of Duty game that ignored or repurposed aspects of that franchise.
Basically, it’s okay to enjoy things for what they are instead of hating them for what they’re not. 👍
I know this question gets asked here a lot but I’m yet to find a definitive answer. I’m new to the Halo series and am currently playing playing through games in release order. I know the novels go into some interesting details like how Master Chief escaped at the end of CE. However I’m looking at understanding the Halo Games while doing the least amount of reading as possible. I’ve heard that Halo 5 is extremely jarring if you don’t keep up with the novels so I’d like to know what books to read in that instance. I’ve only played the first game to completion so please no spoilers🙏. If anyone has a list with only the absolutely necessary books that would be incredible.
Considering work on it began January of 2023, would a 2025 release be possible? I think it would really help Xbox brand rep and trust for Halo fans.
I’m imagining a short but solid traditional linear campaign in UE5, with a nice little multiplayer could allow for a shorter dev time, just like the few years between older Halo games.
Only issue is if it did release this gen, it would be difficult to get a launch title for the next Xbox on time, unless they pushed it to 2028. What are y’all thoughts, I’m on hopium?
I've done some of the campaigns like Halo CE and so on, I got Halo MCC and havent played halo in like 2 or 3 years and idk which to download for casual gameplay lol
Can't believe the man gave me a classic single-dip crouch "yes". Just like the simulations.
I've literally had this idea for years. A Spartan slowly collecting his armor, weapons, and upgrades on a ship that's being invaded by Covanant or Banished. That invaders didn't know that they brought the flood and the ship slowly gets infected on both sides. Just make Metroid Dread or Shadow Complex and slap a Halo skin on that bitch!! SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE MY DREAM GAME!!! Which will probably get turn down by Microsoft... but do it anyway lol
So, I love all the Halo games and have been playing them ever since I can remember. I mostly just play campaigns or firefights and I'm pretty good at that. Recently, I started playing Halo with some friends that are pretty decent at PvP and so I started playing too for some practice. I'm only playing Halo Reach right now if that matters. Anyway, I absolutely suck. I'm terrible and maybe get 3 kills a round with deaths in the double digits. The problem isn't just that I suck, though. I have utterly no clue what it is that I'm actually doing wrong and given that it's multiplayer I don't have much room to experiment and find out. No matter what I try to do in any situation it always ends with me losing. Honestly, it feels like it takes me longer to kill other players than it does for them to kill me. Like, it feels like they just do more damage or something. I know that's not actually the case, but I can't figure out what the real problem is. It feels like no matter what weapon I use it takes an eternity to even get their shields down meanwhile people are seemingly killing me with two or three bullets from the same gun I'm using (usually the dmr). Like I said, I'm pretty good at campaign so my aim isn't even that bad. I'm managing to place most of my shots and even getting a decent amount of headshots, but I just can't seem to do any damage. Maybe I'm crazy and not seeing things right, but I don't think so. Does damage work that much differently in multiplayer or something? I just feel like I'm missing a puzzle piece here and it's driving me crazy. Any advice or resources that could help me out would be great. PvP seems like a lot of fun with my friends that I don't want to miss out on.
So, I think Halo 5 in its current state is easily the worst in the series, but with only 3 changes could have been one of the best.
1: Change the name. It should not be a mainline Halo title. Maybe something like, Halo: Osiris or something similar.
2: Take chief out of the game completely. This would change Orsiris' mission to destroying Cortana, instead of capturing Blue Team. Chief not going after Cortana could easily be explained away as him following orders, because it doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize chief might not be the best choice to eliminate Cortana.
3: Clarify, with no wiggle room, that the Cortana we see in Halo 5 is not the Cortana we knew. It is a fragment of when she split herself while going Rampant, that went rogue.
With those three changes, I think Halo 5 could have been an amazing game. A spinoff title to show the aftermath of Cortana's rampancy, with killer ass gameplay, well designed levels (though a bit over-designed, at times), and debatably the best competitive multiplayer in the series.
The mistake was making it a chief focused story, with very little time playing as chief. And out of the gate, we as the players are going to be against team Osiris, because they're hunting chief, but we're forced to play as them for 80% of the game.
Not to mention, this would also remove that god forsaken Locke-Chief fight scene that made oh so many of us cringe.
So, thoughts?
Looking back at Halo 5 and I really enjoyed the small QoL additions like ADS, Sprinting (don't remember if sprinting was in any other game outside of reach), shoulder charging and ground pounds.
I'm more of a simplistic player and those really made the game fun for me. Shoulder charging through people was so much fun as was nailing someone with a ground pound. I just don't feel like every game needs a ton of abilities, wall running or grapples.
Anyone else agree?
Given the massive success of Helldivers 2. Just imagine all the amazing mission types we could have gotten with the Halo lore.
It's something I've wondered a while now. Taking into account augmentation, training, armor, equipment, and whatever else. How much is the rough estimate for each iteration of the Spartan program?
I want to get Cortana's hand markings on my hand as a tattoo. It won't be a whole sleeve, but it will go past my wrist. Do you guys have any good images of the front and back of her hands?
I have seen some images of the back of hands, but not really the front. Are both her hands the same?
There are several giant BTB teams of 12 that are constantly playing...why aren't they getting matched with each other and instead getting matched with a bunch of solos? The matches are always extremely one sided and there is no way that SBMM actually is working during the matching process.
