Ordered 12 boxes of Hornady 8623 SST 12ga on 10/15/24. My card was immediate charged and I received an e-mail confirmation that the order was processing. Website says orders are shipped within 3-10 business days.
On 10/25/24, attempted to call customer service to obtain an updated status and was unable to speak to a human. Also attempted to reach someone via their online contact firm and received only a “404” error.
Sent a PM to a rep via Reddit on 10/27/24 and still haven’t been responded to.
Website shows 4804 of the product in stock so I’m puzzled as to how they can’t fill an order for 12…. I’m currently in the process of disputing the charge with my financial institution since I can get nowhere with the vendor.
POOR customer service & zero communication at all.
Got a great price on a rifle from Smoky Mountain Guns and Ammo with free shipping. It was sent next day via FedEx and arrived at my FFL 2 days later. Good communication too!
Great experience with Bauer Precision with purchasing my GHM9. Smooth shopping experience, lightning fast shipping, and amazing product price vs the competition.
Was looking for a handgun, the chat on their website was super helpful and kind. They shipped very quickly, and product arrived as expected.
Would use them again. Overall very happy with this experience.
Here's a timeline of my ordeal with Aero:
TL;DR: Don't believe when something on Aero's website shows as "in stock", it may take months to ship. But they are happy to charge your credit card right away.
For the record, I love Aero's products, I own 5 of their rifles. But I am never buying directly from their website ever again.
Eddie from Mototech is a thief and a liar and should not be running a business. If you want to regulate the gas in your SCAR, get a KNS Discarder. It's a better product, it costs less, there isn't a wait and it isn't run by a POS that's willing to steal hundreds of dollars from you.
I did everything I could short of just walking away to not make this public and told them as much but they're willing to risk their rep to hold onto my money and now I'm just completely over it. I think anyone considering spending their money in their direction should be aware of who you are sending your money to.
I don't have my money, I don't have the Scarburators and this loser thinks its acceptable to just leave it like that and ignore me. This has been going on since May.
If I had known this is the way this dude does business I never would've sent him a dime just out of principle if nothing else. Unfortunately, I didn't get a heads up before I made that mistake.
For everyone else- HERE'S YOUR HEADS UP.
Ordered a Rearden flash hider and a Larue MBT-2S that they had on sale. Had a few questions about my order before I submitted, Devin was prompt to message me back and answered my questions in helpful detail. Order was shipped same day and arrived in adequate packaging, even gave me some coffee inside. This is my second order from them and once again was a positive experience. Recommend them!
I was looking for a way to mount a hub-compatible blast can to a Surefire muzzle. I got a but B&T didn't fit, and I was stuck. Other providers no longer listed their conversion.
Enter Big Hoss Machine. I didn't see feedback anywhere, but reached out based on recommendation. (Later found out has a very helpful account here, /u/BigHossMachine .)
I emailed their website, and received a reply immediately. Excellent communication. Clear, concise, and helpful. Very quick turnaround, excellent machining work, packaging, and updates.
He even let me drop-ship the warden to the address he provided, and worked out a hiccup with USPS in the PO box. I didn't even have to send my muzzle device (556/308 caliber specific) to him.
When I bugged him with technical questions, he kindly explained everything (the caliber family specificity) with helpful images and diagrams. Way, way above excellent customer service. He "taught", not just "sold".
The conversion itself was done amazingly well too. Razor sharp threads, excellent fit and finish (and runout tolerance from what I can see visually). The box in came in was packed EXCELLENTLY, better than some retail stores. Even the original Warden packaging and manuals were in PRISTINE shape. Not run over with a truck like some other gunsmiths. I save manuals, so this was great.
I cannot recommend them highly enough. He's running a promotion "Spooky15" if you sign up for his mailing list, just in time for Halloween. I didn't see any other reviews before, but I can attest he's an excellent store.
There's even a returning client coupon code. I very much look forward to shopping with him again. And if you're on the fence, absolutely positively give them a shout out.
I am not experienced enough to alignment rod (as this is a loose tolerance blast can only). But I have no doubts if I have any problems Big Hoss will take care of you. I'm really glad this was my first experience with the "Hub" ecosystem, and providers like Big Hoss supporting it.
I ordered my Glock 17C from 208gunshop, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Their customer service was great, every question I had was answered quickly, even after I received my firearm. Shipping was incredibly fast, they shipped it out the same day I placed my order. I also got a fantastic deal. I highly recommend 208gunshop and will definitely be using them in the future!!
I purchased a DD4 RIII rifle recently for a very good price and it took a few days for them to ship it out, despite telling me it would ship the day I ordered it, but aside from that the experience was good. I'll definitely be checking back with them for future purchases.
EDIT 10/28/2024: Called customer support. Support on the line was actually very nice, and assured me she'd look into a solution that I'd be happy with. Looking to hear a follow up and will update this post accordingly.
EDIT #2 10/28/2024: Got in contact with Jasmine who gave me a discount so that I can directly order another Bodyguard at the same price that I originally ordered for. Turns out my order was canceled as Guns.com integrates their inventory with other FFLs. If you purchase a gun but that FFLs POS doesn't update, then poof, they can't fulfill it.
While it's a bit annoying of a process not knowing if another FFL's POS is correctly updating their inventory on guns.com, the support team was helpful and helped me figure out a way to get my bodyguard at a good deal. Jasmine helped keep me as a customer.

Keeping original post for clarity.
TL;DR: Bait and switch. Now not sure of what to do
Recently went through the hassle of putting a “gun offer” on the Bodyguard 2.0. and to my surprise got a great deal! As soon as I was approved, I started the checkout process.
Guns.com has a shipping charge and “Gun Processing Fee” of $15, so I figured: hey, I got a good deal on a 2.0, let’s add another gun to make it worth it for me. So, I added another firearm to offset the processing fee.
Well, to my annoyance, Guns.com CANCELLED my Bodyguard purchase and gave me a middling “$30 off” my next order. Even better, they haven’t canceled my order on the other, so now I’m paying the full shipping and gun processing fee on a SINGLE firearm.
Can’t blame anyone other than myself for continuing with guns.com despite the bad press. Now I need to figure out how to get my money back.
This post is going to go against the grain a bit.
I've been shopping with Apex for a while now, I've bought a few things from him. Recently I purchased a Highcom SA3000 from him. I was inbetween sizes, so I reached out for sizing help. I told him that I wear a size L tee shirt and am 6'4, but intend to "lose a bit of weight", I should have specified only a few pounds, but he said that the Medium would be a safe choice and that the soft vests give a lot of coverage anyway and that he usually tells people to size-down regardless. For reference I am 6'4, 190lbs.
As soon as I received the vest, it didn't fit what-so-ever. I immediately reached out to Apex and informed him, and he basically told me it's my fault for not saying I was only going to lose a few pounds of weight. I didn't respond to him for a few weeks afterwards, and when I did - he said it was "too late" for an exchange.
I very much disliked him claiming it was "too late" for an exchange, given that's such an arbitrary thing to say. Additionally, if an exchange was an option, he should have offered it when I asked him for an exchange the day of delivery.
He basically told me to go fuck myself and now I'm sitting on a nearly $600 piece of soft armor I cannot wear and likely won't be able to sell for a long time.
This place rules. I ordered a product that was mislabeled from their 3rd party vendor and when it arrived I noticed something was not right. RTA was quick to fix and sent me the part no charge to make it right. Ill always look here before any other store when im looking to purchase
Placed an ammo order, 500 rounds of 9mm on October 1st. Per website, order status said completed. Emailed support on October 15th. Support said some BS about having issues with Capital one and they will be shipping orders out on Monday. I asked for a tracking number. No response. Emailed on the 22nd, no response. Will put in a case with my financial provider to get a charge back. Won't do any business with this company moving forward.
Edit: did a charge back, no response to last email 6 days ago.
Great service and very fast shipping. Placed an order on Thursday for six holsters. After placing the order I emailed to see if I could do the expedited service. They sent me an invoice 15 minutes later and the entire order shipped out on Friday.
Ordered a Stribog from them at 3PM on Thursday. At 3:25 I got a tracking number and it showed up at my FFL at 10AM Friday. Crazy fast shipping and very responsive to emails. Excellent!
Ordered 1000 rounds of "new" Hungarian-made 62gr ss109 5.56 from Cheapest-ammo.com at 44.9cpr. Shipping was free.
Shipping was quick, received it via FedEx within 3-4 days. Required a signature so ended up having to pick up at FedEx after missing delivery twice.
All the 50rd boxes that came are labeled as "blemished," not new manufacturer as advertised.
Overall, shipping was free and quick, but the requirement of signature on delivery and most importantly falsely claiming new manufacturer on their site and doing the ol' switcheroo, likely won't order from them again.
I placed an order for a Geissele Super 42 buffer spring with an H3 buffer, and 5.11 pants on the 22nd. I never recieved my shipping emails until my buffer kit arrived blemished when it was supposed to be new. I called customer service and they informed me that they now do dropshipping for all the stuff they sell, something I was unaware of. Now I have to wait until next week for them to send me my RMA packet so I can exchange the spring WITH NO REFUND, I wasted $240 when I could have spent a couple hours getting the items locally, and I won't be able to go shooting with my buddy before he moves half way across the country. PA is slipping and it shows. Spend your money elsewhere.
I ordered 1100 rounds of s&b 115gr 9mm from them on October 9th,2024. ITS BEEN 16 DAYS! Yesterday which was october 24, 2024 i received 100 rounds. As of today I’m still waiting for the 1000 rounds to be delivered. I called them on October 17 and they said I’d have tracking by the 18th. By the 21st i emailed them and told them if they can’t fulfill the order id like a refund. My tracking shows it’s finally in route so we shall see.
All they offered me was $10 off my next order. Why would there be a NEXT order? Makes no sense.
Meanwhile i ordered 1250 rounds from skogengunsupply.com and received it within two days.
Like many on this sub, I'm a Walkers pleb who got a solid deal on some Sordin Supreme Pro-X Slims through KFF even as Sordin transition to newer, more expensive/MAP protected models. Because of this, I did have to backorder them for about 2 months but KFF came through as expected. Once stocked, it took 3 business days for KFF to get them to me across the country. Did I mention I got a full size bag of Skittles with my ear pro? Shout out to Connor for checking in with me through the backorder process.
They state 7-10 business days on all orders, no big deal. After 15 business days and 2 refund requests, I had to file a charge back. I won’t do business with them again just based on the abysmal customer service.
I'm tempted to say that this purchase was just like the last time I bought from AE, but it wasn't. It was better. Their packaging is remarkable. They arrive in one piece and the contents undamaged every time, so far.
The shipping is the beauty part. I ordered a couple of cases Wednesday afternoon, about 1:00. By 1:30 I had an email telling me that they had shipped, with a tracking #. They arrived at my house Thursday at 11:00 AM. I am extremely satisfied with my dealings with AEammo.
First time ordering from them. Great pricing (<$11 / box of supers 300 AAC)
Well packed, fast shipping (Ordered Sunday, here Wednesday), good shipping rate, no tax to Texas.
If this goes on sale again will for sure buy more.
As others have mentioned, these are a game changer when it comes to comfort. When I want to review is their customer service. I have a small stitching blem that I didn't want to get worse. I filled out the contact form on the website and the owner called me within minutes! Got me taken care of right away, by with confidence.
Super responsive, fair prices, fast shipping, and run by a nice guy. I will be spending more money with them again soon.
Are you tired of your appendix holster jabbing you all day? Do you feel like your dick is caught in a panini press? This small business has you and your junk protected. They offer a hand sewn breathable pillow stuffed with shredded memory foam that attaches with velcro and makes your edc all day comfortable again.
Quality for the price point is outstanding. Customer service is second only to the Reload Wrap vendor in terms of communication and appreciation of their customers. The owner reached out personally to confirm delivery and quality. Packaging is on point, with clear instructions and spare components.
Since installation, I've been amazed how well it's performed. I'm on a solid month of use with a few parades and a couple really hot afternoons and everything still looks and smells new. Other wedges I've tried either started to get a funk, or break down around this point. But not the cloudster.
If you're looking to up your comfort, are dealing with an increasing dad body problem, and have the spare 25 bucks, check em out. They just released new colors and patterns, and come in two sizes. At the very worst you'll be supporting a great small business and learning more about your own ideal carry. But I think the vast majority of those who try this pillow will love it, and love their edc more because of it.
A positive shout here to MCM Tactical ( https://mcmtactical.com ) after two textbook smooth purchases of several cases of rifle ammo. They offered the best online prices I found even before factoring in the low flat rate shipping and tax not collected outside of Colorado. Even more important is that the purchases were professional with fast shipping and the ammo very well packed with outer protective boxes, then packing material inside, and then the manufacturer's sealed case-boxes containing the 20-round ammo boxes.
I'll also note that MCM Tactical responds very quickly to questions with complete responses. They are probably a smaller business and clearly have the hustle attitude of trying a lot harder than others who coast along. I will not hesitate to purchase again from MCM Tactical
Made an order for 250 rds of CCI 115gr on 10/18, delivered and received everything on 10/21.
The price was decent enough, I didn't have the budget to go for a 1000rd package and flipammo.com had the cheapest deal on a 250rd.
The issue is in the packaging, pics here. They didn't pack it in a neat square, so when the box got banged around during shipping all the rounds that were on the edge of the box got squished. Pics will show significant setback, and I honestly don't trust any of the ammo that is on the 5th box outside of the stack.
Ordered 1250 rounds of 124grain 9mm s&b and received 250 rounds the NEXT DAY! HOW? No clue but I’m not complaining. The rest of the ammo came one day after that. So a total of 2 days after purchase. AMAZING service! Mind you I’ve been waiting for 1100 rounds to ship from hdtactical.us for a total of 12 days already. If it wasnt for Skogens i wouldn’t have any ammo.
This review is for an older order, but I saw a recent negative review for them and figured I'd chime in to offset that.
I purchased an XVL2-IRC from De Leon for $944.56 shipped. At the time this price was (and maybe still is) an absolutely insane deal.
When the XVL2 arrived I thought it was a dud. Even following the instructions (of "walking in" the zero by alternating elevation/windage), I could not zero the device properly because the worm gears kept seizing up. I went back and forth with support and they wanted me to send it in for service.
I was hesitant to do so as I read some horror stories from other XVL2 owners who returned their device to Surefire for warranty repair and waited an eternity for a repair/replacement.
I reached out to the owner of De Leon (I forget his name / reddit name) and asked if he would accept a return of it, even though their return policy excludes illumination devices. Without any pushback whatsoever, he offered to accept the return for me.
However, I kept fiddling with the device and after several more attempts I managed to get it zeroed properly, so I didn't bother with the return.
Props anyway to De Leon for customer service (and the crazy deal).
For the record, I still think the XVL2 is a finnicky novelty at best. I wouldn't seriously recommend it to anyone for how much effort it took to zero it properly. I bought it for the aesthetics more than anything, so it just lives on my MK23 and looks pretty. Zero still holds up though.
