There are 2 times I played against May, both were of my relatives. Each time I lost against them because of the forward punch and the fact that how fast her attacks were and how strong it is. They could use a forward punch twice before I get to block. I main Faust and Axl, and I tried both of them, but they just spam and jump so much I couldn't do anything it is kinda unfair how May could be so spammy and strong at the same time.
In this and a couple other combos they end "Here I Go" and do a consecutive hit of something else, in this case close slash. i've checked the demo, checked the button inputs and i cant seem to understand how to not get the follow up or just get noting. Is there someting Im not getting or do I just have to get the timing right
I literally only play Ky, but I’m curious about the card that Johnny throws over the opponent. It’s displays a “King” and changes to “Joker” when slashed.
Originally I thought it was a reference to Ky being a King, and then obviously Joker cuz… lol Johnny go brrr. But is the card face character specific at all, or is it always a King?
Just got curious and wanted to see if anyone knew or noticed this too.
TL;DR: Is Johnny’s overdrive card face character specific?
I’m new to fighting games/ggst and got placed on floor 4 after my match against sol
Is this normal? I feel like Im definitely not in a rank I’m supposed to be in
There should be a mod where Sol looks like he's 14 and he's skinny.
The original GG had a great metal-themed soundtrack. I know the modern day OST isn’t exactly metal, but it still did make me curious to try to listen to a few random heavy metal playlists and wow I wish I would have given it a try earlier in life. Shit’s lit. Lamb of God and Slipknot are my kind of metal so far
Anyone else end up trying metal from GG?
I see people do it pretty frequently but I can't seem to get it down for more than a combo of 2-3. Is there some kind of trick to it?
I tried translating it but the words arent words I know. Searching up one of the lines leads me too the Japanese Budism wikepidea page
As the title said, and actually vice versa. I just wanted to hear about your experiences of getting into GGST with the exp you already have from other major fighters.
I'm sure the fundamentals and am fighter's instinct carried over, but mainly I want to know how it helped, what backfired, or how fast it got you to celestrial, or just how the two games compare.
Thanks
Whenever you get hit by either stroke, the stagger animation plays with the rapidly ticking bar. If you press a button just as the bar runs out, you recover from the attack 5 to 10 frames faster, depending on how good your timing is. It makes H Stroke into j.S not combo and gives S Stroke into j.S a gap that you can either backdash or 5P depending on how fast your reactions are. I've played this game for hundreds of hours and I don't think I've seen mention of this once.
Guilty gear but everytime i lose i draw!
If you gave it a quick watch it'd be greatly appreciated!
The short of it: Looking for a pad with the playstation layout (where the buttons and whatnot are placed) but with that really nice d-pad on the Xbox Series controller, preferably under $100 CAD.
I'm a pad player, so far I've used the PS4 controller and Xbox Series controller, they both have their ups and downs.
The thing I like about the PS4 Controller is it's layout, the d-pad being opposite the face buttons are really comfortable for me. However, the d-pad is absolutely HORRIBLE, I'm constantly misinputing stuff, and it's just weird and squishy.
The opposite is true for the Xbox Series controller, I'm not a fan of the layout because of my smaller hands, but the d-pad is like a dream come true, that thing is beautiful.
I play in the way where you glide the tip of your thumb around the d-pad by btw.
Hello! Meaning to have asked and seen if someone has a way to resolve an issue regarding Arcsys Games, namely Strive and GBVSR, I love both games though struggle to play them due to stuttering, It feels like it may be on my part though I don't know exactly what it is
Whenever playing either Strive or GBVSR, the issue would occur when attempting to lab or play against CPU or Friends, I didn't think it was usual considering my older laptop was able to run both games fairly well with no stuttering, I was thinking maybe I am missing an option I disabled somehow, so was curious to ask about that, obv I know the information shared is already vauge enough, though would still appreciate any input that could be given
I have tested it on two external storage devices, one being an X9 Pro Portable SSD, and a Samsung T5 Portable SSD, both using a USB-C connection, all three have the issue with stuttering, I have looked at the Read/Write speeds of each and they all seem normal, and here is my specs
I will say, I am running on Windows 11, maybe that could be the issue? I feel like something might have to do it with it though I am unsure, I also have the issue happen on other Unreal Games, though none of this happens on other games I play (Honkai Star Rail, FFXIV, Girl's Frontline 2, Eternal Return)
Any response that someone could give would be valued, and sorry that this is very vauge, I could try to share more details if that helps!!
I need to know if “Increased recovery.” in guilty gear games is a buff or a nerf for a character
