I have a Nintendo Switch pro controller with a Zelda design that I absolutely love. I've had it maybe 2 years, and the left joystick is floating. I would attempt repair myself but would hate to mess anything up to the point of no return. Is there anyone locally who could fix it? My boyfriend wants to play games with me, and while he could buy a new controller, I'd rather salvage this one for us to use.

Due to Hurricane Helene's severe damage and the total loss of nearly 50 trees, we must permanently close our Greenville Adventure Park. The unprecedented damage means that we cannot continue operating.

We want to thank everyone who has adventured with us and supported our business over the last 5 years. We are truly saddened to have to close our business.

We would also like to thank our dedicated staff, past and present, who have served you, coached you, and seen your kids grow. Without them, the experience would not have been the same.

I know a lot of us are upset about the setback opening of crunch Cherrydale, but Taylors' management is apparently piss poor too. There's a backed up toilet spilling sewage all the way into the main gym area from the women's locker room with no signage whatsoever preventing people from walking in & out. This is a serious health and safety risk for members and apparently it is outside the scope of DHECs responsibilities as it is a fitness center, not a restaurant. Please be aware of this poor management before enrolling in a membership with Crunch.

New home here, wondering if I can store some cardboard boxes in the attic, or if the climate will degrade them in the summers here.

Attic is very basic - blown in insulation 9” high, and has a 5’x7’ area with plywood & no insulation, where I theoretically can store some things.

Would like to store TV box and a computer box, in their original cardboard packaging, in the attic.

Any concerns? Do I need to seal them in plastic bags?

FEMA wants confirmation of outage dates and Duke Energy billing does not have what I consider a concise and readable printout from their website. I emailed them for a letter stating these dates at my address. They won't just send me the information because while my wife's name is on the bill, mine is not. They are using that to not send me the info, so I got my wife to request the info. Now they want a call. Why are they being so difficult in sending this information? All they're doing is adding another level of complexity to something that's already somewhat complex. Is there a good reason for them not to just send me that information?

The on ramp from Hwy 29/185/Mills to 85 South backs up every day. Alot of the problems could be avoided if the on ramp lane went all the way to the hwy 153 exit. I watch every day as way over half the people fighting to get on 85 immediately exit to powdersville.

It's a shame. I'm exaggerating about "can of paint" of course, but imagine how much better it'd be if that were the case. But instead Thousands of people have to deal with crap every day cause MuH tAxEs!

Long term, they could utilize that second bridge / frontage rd that already exists to get people to Powdersville, and alleviate sooo many problems.

First year of my life with some version of Fall and it’s been really really nice. The foliage is awesome and more than I expected even with the hurricane stripping lots of leaves, and it’s not still 85. So it’s a win for me. But everything I’m seeing shows the temps are still well above average, and we lows of 60s in November which is kinda crazy. Long time residents, what is this Fall like compared to previous years all things considered?

Hey all, I'm looking for some recommendations on where to socialize my puppy with some other puppies.

He's two months old and has an older sister at home, so he's somewhat used to other dogs. However he's used to "slower" dogs and puppies. Large adult dogs with high energy have scared him and I want him to find some "smaller" friends to get used to the idea of playtime with other dogs.

I've heard of meetups where you can socialize puppies together, but my Google-fu is failing me. All I'm finding are dog daycares for 16-week+ dogs.

Are there's any meetups or places you know that would be good for this type of safe socialization? Thanks in advance.

My son went on vacation this past week and I am picking up his dog at the babysitters house today.
I don't ever get to do this, so it's a fun treat for me, too.

I'm excited to see him and was thinking we could do something small that isn't too expensive and won't mess his tummy up like a pupcup.

I need something that isn't gonna wear me out physically though, he's a super strong boy and I don't want to fear that I'll have to struggle or lose grip of his leash.

UPDATE: Yeah pretty much just a vendor show. At least 2:1 Vendors to Exhibits. Bummer. And vendor pricing was silly. A 20% markup on sets that were on the shelf at Walmart a mile away. Fun time. But probably won't go back.
