Yesterday I got one of those "Items on your wishlist are now discounted!" e-mails, saying that Atari 50 was on sale for -75% off until september 28. I wanted to take the opportunity to purchase the game but I was busy at the time, so now when I went to check it there was no sale anymore, the game is just at base price on the GOG website. Does anyone know what happened? Was it just a mistake?
EDIT: adding a screenshot of the email:
Like, play the games of a USB stick without needing to install it on a PC
I want to try to extract the audio stems/files from the old blade runner 1997 game. I'm playing it through Gog on mac. On windows I guess the files are easy to find by just looking through folders, I havent had much luck with that on mac. I'm really just starting to get into computers so I'm not very knowledgeable about this kind of stuff, so I thought I'd come on here and see if anyone could help.
Is it normal that gog support has not responded to my more than a week old ticket yet?
I got Mark of Chaos and now it won't run, apparently, anyone have a fix?
I know the title sounds weird as hell, but every 2 or 3 times i open the game an error message appears saying that there are broken files due to mods or faulty updates. I have no mods installed. The way i'm fixing this is by reinstalling the game everytime (I have good connection speed thankfully), and the game runs fine. When I close it, and reopen it a few times the error appears and i have to reinstall again. Veryfying files is useless (0% all time) I honestly have zero idea of what to do. Has anyone had the same problem?
I'm attempting to figure out how to manage a personal archive of my GOG library and a critical pain point for me is managing updates for backups I've already downloaded, as GOG gives its users no tools to see most recent updates for the games they own (without having them installed) as Games/My Collection(Updated) is in no way a reliable method for seeing updates for your whole library.
Is there any way sort/organize my owned games by update date?
Out of curiosity, I decided to try GOG today and I was positively surprised. I've had a lot of problems with Steam games on Linux, but this just works without any useless shit damm.
Heyo,
thinking about getting Rimworld and the Dlcs on GOG. My question is:
Is it worth it to get on GOG compared to Steam (modability/workshop)
Is there any downsite besides the integrated Steamworkshop?
//edit spelling mistake
Thanks in advance!
Hey,
Like title said, I missed the chance to get both games on time. That being said, I thought of something.. There are some legit sites that sell cd-keys for both games. Even if the games were removed from the store, maybe I could still activate it with a key?
Did anyone ever try it?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks and happy horror season.
Every month we see several posts offering GOG game codes and discount codes that people do not intend to use themselves. To make this easier and more organized, we ask that you share your code(s) as top-level comments on this post.

Game code giveaway for Game Name:

To be extra sure your code goes to a fellow GOG gamer and not a bit, you can choose to list the games you have keys for and have them DM you to claim them. In this case, please make it very clear whether your codes are game codes or discount codes.

Hi, I bought Highrise City but without any DLC yet in my game I have access to the DLC "Metro and Planes"... An explanation?
Over the last couple of days I've tried to download the offline installer, and every time it's like this. I've tried a VPN, cleared my browser cache, disabled all plugins etc.
What else can I try???
I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'm just so sick and tired of this. For some reason, guardians of the galaxy, the rue valley alpha playtest, and you suck at parking all won't appear in GOG Galaxy. Last month's Humble Choice worked like a charm. All the other games this month also work, so I don't know why this is happening. Also, for the record, I'm using the humble bundle GOG Galaxy plugin, if anyone is wondering. Please Help!
So for the past few days whenever I open GOG Galaxy my disk usage spikes to 100% and my PC becomes extremely slow, I've had to stop GOG from running on startup and just completely stop using the application now because of it.

I recently bought a new PC and I wanted to play some GOG games. I logged in to the website and they are in my library but when I downloaded GOG Galaxy they don't show up as owned.
I tried to add the game manually and put in the executable that I got from the website but it didn’t work. It shows it as owned and with a play button but when I press it nothing happens for a sec then it disappears until i refresh the page.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times now but it still doesn't work
Hello, I am a indie game developer and my team is currently looking for stores to publish our games. Our games are developed for both PC and Mobile platforms.
We had published on Itch.io before and now we want to publish on GOG aswell. How can we open a publisher account at GOG.com?
I was redeeming my free Amazon game codes when the app asked me to update. After updating, I tried the next code nothing but spinning circle of death. Any ideas?
When a game receives an update on GOG, is there a way to view the changes made? On Steam, update announcements are provided for each new version, detailing what has been changed.
I prefer to keep the latest version of offline installers backed up on a hard drive, but I’m hesitant to replace the old files without knowing what updates have been applied. Is there a similar update log or announcement feature on GOG?
Can't even install game because other game is stuck downloading update forever. Can't delete the queued update download. Can't exit app without forcibly killing the process. I decided to buy the game on Steam instead. I had this issue one-year ago and found out that it still persists. Removing and downloading GoG Galaxy does not help.
Hello, I just got the lego Lord of the Rings game free from amazon prime but it made me download it via GOG, i want to play on my PS5 controller but it doesnt seem to want to work either bluetooth or wired connection, the controller lets me press the ps button to go to my laptop desktop but apart from that it doesnt do anything when i have the game open. Any help would be appreciated.

So I've always downloaded the offline installers and kept playing offline for the games that can do it. Xcom, anno 1404, ftl, civ 4 are examples of games I've bought in the past year that never trigger Galaxy to open. However this week I picked up anachronox on sale and ck2 for free, and even though I used the offline installers, Galaxy launches to play both of them. Have gog started doing something different recently or have I randomly and accidentally started doing things differently for the first time since Galaxy launched? I know some games require Galaxy, but surely not anachronox, that game's older than a decent amount of gog's customers. It's important because I'm playing on a six year old laptop I need the memory lmao.
In my opinion, Divinity Original Sin 2 is one of the best games I have played. Like, holy fuck, what is this game.
This game essentially follows this guy called Ifan ben-Mezd who has to ascend to Godhood in order to prevent the evil horde of Voidwoken from destroying Rivellon.
If you haven't bought it yet, I can't recommend it enough. One of the best games I have played
Edit pls no spoilers i have just reached lvl 14
Hello fellas I am A steam user since 2022 and haven't tried any other platform yet like Gog and Epic. I am just curious about GOG since I've seen some people talking that in Gog you are the owner once you bought it I have few questions before I proceed on buying games on Gog.
What is the advantage on Gog on other platofrm?
What about it's regional pricing?
3.About its game updates.
4.mods? Like steamworkshops.
6.download speed on Gog? (i know it depends on you internet connection but im used to steam being faster when downloading file)
Honestly. The only games i play onlune is insurgencysandstorm, starshiptrooper and battlefield 1. All others i prefer offline.
Feel free to add any advice or corrections..
Thanks for the help..
Hi Folks i alway wanted to play the darksiders trilogy but not with ea, but after discussing buying it on gog today with a friend he told me i must log into ea so i can play darksider 3 is that true i always thought gog stood for freedom of such things
thanks for any answers.
Edit: Question Answered. Thanks to everyone answering now i can buy and finally play the darksiders trilogy with a clear conscience.
Every time I exit a game GOG shows a banner in the bottom right corner of my screen saying it uploaded my save to the cloud. That is fine, but it really bothers me having a banner notification showing up on my screen. I've tried disabling overlay and all notifications but it still shows up. Does anyone know how to prevent GOG from showing any banners at all on my screen?
