A subreddit to share unique gift ideas with others.
Rules define a subreddit. So let's start with the 8 golden rules of this subreddit first.
RULES:
Make sure to submit unique gift ideas only. If it isn't unique it does not belong here.
Please flair your posts appropriately. AutoModerator already does quite a bit of automatic flairing, but it's not perfect, so please check that the flair is appropriate for your post.
Make sure to link to the product link directly if possible. Links from trustworthy sites like Amazon, Etsy, Ebay etc are preferred.
Due to this subreddit getting a lot of spam, if your account is very new and/or has very little karma, your submission/comment will be removed. If your post does get removed, you can send us a modmail and, if your post isn't spam and doesn't violate any other rules, we'll approve it.
No referral links without a warning in the comment or post title.
No ad hominem attacks or threats, including troll-feeding responses.
If you believe a post or comment is spam, breaks our rules, breaks reddit's rules, or is otherwise inappropriate, please click the "report" button and submit a report (with a reason, please).
If over 10% of your submissions and conversation are your own site/content/affiliate links, you're almost certainly a spammer. [1] [2] [3]
And that's it for now. More rules may be added here as the community grows depending on what you guys think is important. But the most important thing is to keep submitting unique gift ideas here and stay awesome.
How to tell whether the gift is unique?
I would say that if you think that the gift you found out is unique, it most probably is unique. If you submit it here, you'll find out.
Self posts asking for gift ideas are also allowed here.
Just mention "Looking for a gift for my 'xyz'" in the title and mention the things he/she likes the most plus other details like the occasion and/or budget in the description. We could have a discussion about it and find the most suitable and cutest gift for that 'xyz' of yours :)
We all love gifts, don't we?? :)
Please send us a modmail if your post gets stuck in the spamfilter. We receive at least 20+ spam posts everyday and it's hard to go through each submission.

I hate Jerky, but hubby loves it. Need recommendations for a flavorful stocking stuffer. Thanks!!
My son and I were invited to his classmate’s Bar Mitzvah in New Jersey. We’ll attend the ceremony at the Temple and then the party will be at a Top Golf versus a traditional hall. I have no clue how much of a gift to give. I am friendly with the parents and we have hung out before so it’s more than just a classmate’s party. I want to give an appropriate amount but this is our first Bar Mitzvah party. Thanks in advance!
I’m picking out a Christmas present for my friend. She’s 43, transitioning (M to F), we haven’t known each other for very long, but her kindness and warmth have been so comforting to me. she loves anything with luxurious packaging and values the practicality of the items, so I’m thinking of something special and practical that fits her style. I really want to get her something thoughtful that she’ll love and find useful. Thanks in advance!
So I'm changing schools at the end of the year and I want to make some like gift bags for everyone in my home room because we're really close and I'm gonna miss them a lot and they're gonna do something for me. I decided on just getting my teachers each a bar of chocolate and a card, but I want it to be like sweet and thoughtful for my classmates. I was thinking little gift bags with lollies and friendship brackets with each of our number on the roll, but is that enough, I also was gonna make a playlist with like each song reminding me of someone in the class, I thought about putting it on usbs but I didn't realise how expensive usbs are. So yeah what could I do for about 30 teenagers, in the most affordable way within the next two weeks. Pleas help I have no idea!!
I was invited to my friend's surprise 50th birthday party at her home. Her husband is throwing her a surprise party with about 25 people that is going to last about three hours and he will provide a catered lunch and probably a variety of drinks. She is not a drinker so bringing a bottle of alcohol isn't an option. She is also not very girly so making her a basket with things that she likes wouldn't be appropriate. Should I give money? A gift card? And how much is appropriate? This is in the New York City/New Jersey area. I appreciate any and all feedback!!! I don’t have a specific budget btw. I don’t want to give too much or too little.
My relatives (uncles and aunts) really love black coffee and would drink it all day if they could. I’m thinking of gifting coffee to them for Christmas. Can anybody give me suggestions of great coffee brands for black coffee lovers? I feel like I’ve heard them mention not liking coffee that has flavorings(?) like pumpkin spice, peppermint, caramel, etc. that’s overpowering. They seem to want to taste the coffee more than the flavoring. They’ve also mentioned liking coffee that’s “smooth.” Would also prefer choices that aren’t too expensive since I’ll need to gift quite a few (under $20?) and it won’t be their only presents. Much help would be appreciated!
Hi everyone, I’m looking to get a nice experiential type gift or something that is unifying / creating togetherness for my family. My parents are recent empty nesters with 3 kids now spread out all across the country. I want to spend <= 2k$. Any ideas on what would be a fun way to bring everyone together either with some remote experience/tech or meeting up for a memorable shared experience in person?
Hi all, trying to plan some Christmas shopping for my husband. He tends to either buy things immediately or hold off for years on stuff he needs lol.
What’s a nice set that is multipurpose and worth the price?
———— 2. For the car part. He’s been doing things for his car lately(tint, decals on interior trim and little shade things for side mirrors, sewing on a custom steering wheel cover).
Any quality suggestions for little diy stuff he can set up in it to continue making it cute? He enjoys the diy things(minus the tint he’s been out working on it himself).
Maybe like a quality light kit for interior runner lights or something? I am truly clueless. Got him a leather clip for sunglasses that he actually uses but dunno what else.
Thanks for any help. There are so many brands for some of these things and I don’t know what is expensive because it’s good and what will fall apart
I am planning to gift my bestfriend with her own Cricut Maker 3 as a wedding present. We're planning her wedding together and as a crafter, I volunteered to DUY the invitations, banners, placeholders, and souvenirs. We're having a grand time for months now and I saw how she also enjoyed doing crafts with me. Now the wedding is happening on Dec 15th. But as much as I want to buy the machine now to get it wrapped early, I also want to maximize savings from Black Friday. What do you think?
EDIT: sorry I pressed the enter button too early without the body of the post, LOL! added it now
Hi all. I want to gift my employees a small little something to thank them for working this holiday season. Any recommendations?
Something not too costly as I have about 95 associates. 🙈
I have a family member who is about 75, he’s a math and science need, loves chocolates and coffee and gourmet foods. Loves the theater but health concerns and covid remain a worry for him.
Looking for any gift ideas, bought goods, consumables, experiences…
My parents are moving from DC to London about a month after Christmas so I know they won’t want stuff (or anything that’s not super easy to pack) and probably won’t have time for experiences with all the packing craziness.
My mom loves weird or bizarre little things (think weird vintage games, cool little handmade things, etc), she’s also a great artist and loves cooking/new recipes. But again, I don’t want to get them things, my dad already thinks they have too much stuff.
My dad is super hard to shop for because he’s the opposite, he doesn’t like things. He usually will just tell us some tool or something hes planning on buying so we can just buy it for him (he’s really handy and loves yard projects). He also likes cooking, grilling etc but AGAIN doesn’t want more stuff before the move. And I want it to be more personal/a surprise.
I was thinking something that helps with packing/travel? Do you guys have any fav travel organizers or must haves for long flights or something that really helped you move? That way it’s actually useful before a trip.
Or maybe some kind of coupon or experience for when they get to London? Any British ppl or ppl who have been with recommendations there?
my boyfriend is hard to shop for, as he is not materialistic in the slightest. he’s also not a fan of dining out, so a fancy dinner is out of the question.
some things he does like: -books -journaling -outdoors/camping -patagonia -coffee -rock climbing -candy/sweets (but he is hard on himself if he eats too many) -long walks -spindrift -the beach/beautiful scenery
most of these things he has plenty of or all of the gear for. does anyone have a clue what to get a person who loves the outdoors and despises having possessions?
I have a friend's wedding coming up in 2 weeks, and I wanted to gift them something that's unconventional and cool. They are both a lovely couple in their mind twenties.
Would love to hear y'alls opinion and if some of you might have gotten something cool during your wedding.
Following is a list of things I don't wanna consider:
Looking forward to hearing from everyone.
pretty much what the title says. we’ve been together since may of this year and have been friends for a very long time, but i still don’t want to get him anything extremely expensive. some info about him: -bachelors in history (studied dark ages in college, also enjoys european history & greek mythology) -masters in political science -he makes good money, so im scared anything i buy he already has or doesn’t have a need for. -nervous about gifting anything sentimental, for reasons i don’t want to get into. could possibly be persuaded. -likes flowers, no specific favorite, but loves decorating his house with flowers. any suggestions please lmk! i’m completely drawing a blank
Hi all- my boyfriend is 27 and doesn’t ask for anything. Our first Christmas together all he asked for is socks. He’s into Pokémon, anime, streaming/selling cards, basketball, food, comfort, his PC. He’s not interested in golf, drinking, cars and all that stuff. It’s been 4 years so I exerted all my gift ideas. I got him all accessories he’d need for his PC so I’m clueless. I’m begging for help lol any ideas???
Hi! Not sure at all which subreddit to post this to so I’m just starting with this one but please tell me where to go if not here.
For her birthday (Nov. 27th) my brothers and dad are all pitching in money to buy my mom a trip to see her family. They live across the country and she hasn’t seen them for several years. We’ve decided to present the gift as an announcement so that she can choose which days she wants to go. Her work schedule is kind of unpredictable so we thought it would be easiest if she got to choose when to go and we then buy her the tickets.
I love making paintings, cards, drawings, etc. as gifts and my mom, as you could imagine, LOVES receiving them. So I want to make her a card or painting or something that is announcing the trip. We’ve done this before a while ago and we had another artist in our family draw a picture of a plane. We hid it on the christmas tree and she had to search for it to figure out what it was and what it meant, and it was really fun. This time I want to do some kind of card or painting but I don’t know what it should say or be.
A painting of where she’s going? A short poem or some kind of riddle? I’ve been searching up and down pinterest for ideas but I’m not sure what to search for. Searching “announcement card ideas” is mostly just for engagements and births lol. All ideas are appreciated
tldr: Buying my mom plane tickets to visit her hometown and want to make some kind of card or painting to tell her. Could be something funny and clever or just a pretty painting that somehow gets the point across.
My husband wears this ratty old bathrobe when he feels sick, but honestly, I think he's had it since he was a kid and he's grown out of it. I don't think he's emotionally attached to it. We live in Florida and big, heavy bathrobes aren't really needed here, but if there's a grown-up, super soft, yet manly, one I could get him, I think he'd really enjoy it the couple times a year he needs it.
Seeking novel, art-themed holiday greeting cards.
Anybody consider artist Andy Warhol-themed greeting cards?
Warhol's image of four Christmas trees comes to mind.
Are Warhol-themed greeting cards suitable for adding picture frames?
Can pop-art themed images on greeting-cards become wall-hanging gifts?
I'm in the process of figuring out what Christmas gift to get for a female friend of mine. I can't figure out what exactly. I don't want her to get the wrong idea of the gift being romantic. (P.S. her fav colour is pink) Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated!
$100 budget, rules are no lame gifts and no alcohol. Willing to get a few or something big that’s worth the $100. Any ideas? Thanks!
Been looking at various gemstone type of stone bead bracelets. Wondering if it would be a good gift?
My husband's aunt is going above and beyond to throw us a very nice baby shower. We don't see her that often and she doesn't know me very well at all, but she stepped in when she noticed no one was throwing one for my husband's side of the family. No one would have expected her to do this for us - we sure didn't! We would like to get her something that shows how grateful we are for the gesture. What would be a fitting gift?

A coworker recently lost her mother. I don't know her well but she's very sweet. She is mid-40s, no husband or children and is working on her PhD.
I am looking for anyone who could help me with picking out gifts that I could potentially get for my girlfriend. Was thinking of gifts that are cute, nice, and something of usefulness too. This is for more of a general type of gifts you can give to your girlfriend. I already have some for her, I just need more that could maybe be of use to her life. Cheers
This gift is perfect for your best friend’s daughter, son, wife, husband, sister, or brother who grew up in the 2000s playing with or collecting dolls. It also makes a cute cake topper for a wedding or birthday party, or a fun wall decoration in any favorite room. Be sure to check out Xaradollz on Instagram!
