California State University, Fresno was founded as Fresno State Normal School in 1911, became a teacher's college in 1921, and has offered advanced degrees since 1949. The university's popular nickname is "Fresno State." Our mascot is the Bulldog.
The university is accredited by the California Board of Education and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It has 26 nationally accredited departmental programs, among the highest number within the CSU system.
Fresno State's 388-acre main campus and its 1,011-acre University Farm are located at the northeast edge of Fresno, California, at the foot of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountain range. The surrounding San Joaquin Valley is one of the richest agricultural areas in the world, and Fresno is the fifth largest city in California. The university is within an hour's drive of many mountain and lake resorts and within a three- or four-hour drive of both Los Angeles and San Francisco.

I am a comm major does anyone have recommendations for a math class to take?
I am currently in the process of picking classes and I wanted to take my time unlike I did in the summer, I wanted to ask advice from other comm majors. I am a freshman currently and I want to make sure that I am picking the right classes for the pathway to be sure. Do any other Comm majors have advice on the classes I should pick and take?
For the past week I been checking if the website (www.Pticket.com). But kept saying it's down due to an outrage. I also tried calling the traffic operations number but it sent me to the dail tone. I really don't want have to go to the police department to pay this off, since I don't have cash to pull out. Has anyone else experience this??
EDIT: i went to the police department on campus and they told me since the system is down nationally they can't do anything til it's up again. They also if I have any late fees on it. They'll waive it once the website is working again.
Any fun courses to take? I'm on my final semester and I focused entirely on research reports, exams, etc. throughout my college career. I want to take something fun. For example, gym, bowling, working in the farm, etc. Anything that doesn't require a prerequisite.
Mr Shapiro or Mr Thackrey
Any Lyles college of engineering students seen that post on linkedIn about some civil professor guy saying that only one program passed ABET accreditation at LCOE? I know some were saying that it was false information and also heard that the guy has an agenda against Fresno state but not really sure what the whole story is.
I got accepted for MS in Civil program here as an international (no scholarship and all). I'd be really grateful if one of you took the time to answer these few questions (thank you and please)
Is it worth it as an intl to come there without scholarship?
Is the job market good afterwards or for CPT? Is the college and the program well renowned?
Please tell me about on campus jobs too if possible. I could fund through my savings, but it'd be easier if things aligned well.
Also, how much normally spent on rent and food off campus?
Does anyone know good professors for History 12/11? Not trying to get some rude professor.
As the title says I’m a male 19 and I was thinking of transferring to Fresno state next fall from cos. Can anyone give me any advice on anything like dorms, classes, and the overall vibe? I’m transferring as a psych major if that changes anything. Thanks in advance!
Should I enroll in other classes just in case I don’t get in? And if I do get in, just drop my back up class? What’s the best way to go about this? Also, how likely am I to get into a waitlisted class? I’m currently 8, idk if that’s good or bad…

Has anyone had luck applying to offices in person or is Hire Fresno State the best way?
Hey everyone so me and a friend are planning on transferring to Fresno State for the fall of 2025 but we want to me out during the summer to focus on looking for jobs. Is there anyway we can have a designated lease for the summer term or will we have to take over somebody else's?
Does anyone who has taken this class before know if we need to buy equipment for it? The description just says we need to buy tennis-specific shoes, but will we need anything else? I don't feel like taking an elective class and having to spend a lot of money on needing to buy the racket or anything else.
Join our fully furnished 4 bed 4 bath unit by December 1st. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and secure keyed access. You will be sharing the space with three other female roommates. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
How often do rooms open up? If I was to submit my application for next semester would there be any dorms available?
