This week's tracks are:
New: For this season we will be running all races with a (x4.5) tire wear multiplier.
Notice: I would like to remind everyone running in the series that you need to be in the discord chat during the race. The discord chat is where i marshal the race from and i need all racers to be able to hear me in the event of a restart, etc. Thank you for understanding. be short sprint type races. We will also run thru a qualifying example and race start procedures.
Reminder on lap traffic: Here is what we expect at . The responsibility is always on the overtaking driver to pass cleanly this applies to passes for position and for lap traffic. Overtaking drivers you do not own the "racing line". If you are a driver being lapped "Don't be "nice", be predictable." Do not swerve back and forth to avoid the "racing line" swerving like this just makes you unpredictable. Continue to run the same line you have been running. We have the advantage of being able to talk with each other please use this to coordinate passes.
Reminder on Track Limits: I know we are a lot more relaxed when it comes to track limits than other series out there, but we still expect drivers to race fairly. The general rule is that drivers are allowed to use all the curbing regardless of what is Forza "clean". Special cases my be allowed NASCAR lines etc. and these will be made clear to drivers before each event. Here is what we expect to see from driver's who fail to make a corner. Driver's should lift and give back any positions or ground that was gained making every effort to do so safely and cleanly, yielding to any cars on the race track.

Download the Season 61 - Data, Driven race decals now to apply to your race car.
To select the car we looked at four data sets; Manufacturer, Drivetrain, Decade, & Class. The average drivers per race for each of these data sets was then used to create a matrix that would find the best combinations. These combinations were then checked against all the available cars.
The top six best cars for average driver turn out and (for fun) the two cars that were predicted to have the worst average driver turn out were put up for a vote. The number that was shown with each choice during the voting was the predicted average driver turn out. You guys failed to pick the car the data suggest you really want to race, but instead picked the 1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
The Best Options
1: 1958 Aston Martin DBR1 - 16.10
2: 1953 Ferrari 500 Mondial - 16.05
3: 1957 Porsche 356A Speedster - 15.59
4: 1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z - 14.95
5: 1988 Chevrolet Monte Carlo - 14.67
6: 2018 Nissan Sentra NISMO - 14.60
The Worst Options
7: 1965 Austin-Healey 3000 MKIII - 9.80
8: 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 - 9.84
Tracks were chosen in a similar manor. The average drivers per race was calculated for each location. The top nine locations (those still available to us) were chosen to be used for the season.
1: Eagle Rock Oval
2: Kyalami
3: Daytona
4: Homestead Oval
5: Hakone
6: SPA
7: VIR
8: Lime Rock
9: Mid Ohio
The data was then further broken down to determine the best layout, conditions, and which race would be the season finale enduro.
How close will the predicted driver turn out be to the actual driver turn out? Find out as the series progresses.
There are still spots on the grid, register now!

FM4's Sixty First Season
It’s time for season 61 of the Forza Spec Racing Series, the weekly beer league of Forza eSports. Where the championship is arbitrary, but the fun is mandatory. We are geared to those who race casually yet cleanly. All levels of ability are welcome.
The season will consist of 9 races over the course of 5 weeks. Races will be held once a week with two races a night. Each night should last between 1-2 hours.
Allowed Assists
Points - Click Here
Points are assigned based on finishing order. A Google doc will be updated weekly showing the results. Every driver will have their worst week removed from their total points. This allows an entrant to miss one night of racing without falling too far in points. In the event of a championship points tie the driver with the most season wins will be deemed champion. If this still results in a tie the winner will be the driver with the most season podium finishes.
The points system will be as follows:
Car Limitations
The spec car for this series will be the 1990 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z. The following upgrades must be applied to the car:

Livery Rules
Numbers will be assigned on a first come first served basis.
Drivers that have run in any of our previous series will use the green PRO boxes. Drivers new to the series will use the orange AM number boxes. Please keep the boxes sized as downloaded. Boxes should be placed on the door. Numbers should be white.
SlowMotionFire has the boxes available for download.
Car numbers located anywhere else on the car are optional and do not have any formatting rules.
We are running real world sponsors this season.
If anyone doesn't want to create their own livery u/SlowMotionFire offers to put any one of his previously created liveries onto the season's car for you. You can find all available options here.
Schedule
Race nights will last somewhere between one and two hours. Week 1-4 will consist of two races each night, all running roughly 30 minutes each. The final week will be a 95 min. endurance race.
All Race Sessions will begin at 7:00 pm central time on Tuesday nights.
The format for each night will contain a qualifying session followed by the race at that track. Qualifying times will be sorted by clean times first then dirty times. Parade lap rolling starts, Driver’s load into the lobby and remain stationary. The moderators will check the starting order, if corrections need to be made they will happen at this time. The pole qualifier will then pick which side of the track they want to start on. The parade lap will be 50mph. The pole qualifier can start the race any time once they are on the front stretch, or the race will start once the pole qualifier crosses the start/finish line. There will be no cautions during the 30 minute races. (add extra lap to document times)
Race finish procedure. Race length will be the listed length +1 lap. The race will end for all cars on the track when the leader finishes the listed number of laps. Drivers finish the lap they are on and race back to the line. The field will line up in the order they come off the track in a designated spot, and the results will be noted. The leader will then finish out the remaining lap.
Reverse grid endurance race. There will be no qualifying for the endurance race instead the field will be a reverse grid using championship points. Drivers will be arranged by championship points, in ascending order (fewest points will take pole position). Ties will be given to the driver with the most total points. The field will be broken into two groups of cars. To be eligible for the front group, you must have raced in 3 of the 4 weeks during the season (starting 1 race during the night will count as 1 week raced). This ensures drivers only joining for the enduro are not starting in 1st. The rear group will start behind the front group.
Cautions will be called during the endurance race if any contestant is disconnected from the race. The contestant will be given time to rejoin the race at the back of the field. The race will then be restarted with the remaining time at which the caution was called. After the halfway point of the race cautions will no longer be called.

There is a xbox club for this series, search for rFM4. Join to receive race night reminders.
We are using discord for voice chat during the race. Drivers are required to be in the Discord voice chat during race events. This is where I organize and moderate the race from. All drivers must be able to hear me in the event of restarts, cautions, etc. It just helps keep the night running smoothly Discord Link

Thank You
Thanks to everyone who helps make this series run from the moderation team, graphic design, and most importantly the drivers who provide clean wheel to wheel racing every week. We wouldn't be able to do it without all of you.
With the return of Spectator mode to Forza Motorsport, r/FM4 is looking for a streamer to broadcast our league!
