Hey everyone! I was hoping someone could recommend a good roll on essential oil combo to help with my testing anxiety.
Also was hoping to find something to help get back on track studying and one that may help kick nervousness away right before a test or validation (I’m in nursing school).
There’s so many options on Amazon, it’s overwhelming.
Obviously I know essential oils aren’t going to cure any of these issues completely, but a little help is so much appreciated.
I am considering buying a diffuser and I was wondering how is it safe to inhale EO particles? Do they need them to be diluted in a carrier before using them in a diffuser? And does this differ for each diffuser? I am currently looking at water and oil diffusers.
I have also been thinking about applying a mix of EOs diluted as a roll-on fragrance and I have seen people doing this with high conectrations (<10%). This seems unsafe. What is the max conecentration for this?
I add drops of essential oils to my detergent, when I am doing laundry. My machine smells great, but the scent doesn't seem to stick on to my clothes. What can I do?
Hi all,
I’ve been using essential oils for over a decade. Usually either in roller ball form or in a diffuser. I was hoping I could get some mix/combo recommendations for anxiety, chronic fatigue, and compassion fatigue.
Lavender is my go to scent for stress and anxiety but I’d like to know what other oils I could mix it with that would help.
Also I use peppermint for headaches, colds, and I’ve been trying to use it to have more energy.
I also have kanuka oil too but only use that for special occasions.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
This one for me, like 2 or 3 good whiffs and it banishes all stress & anxiety from me. I've googled around, "best essential oils for stress" and usually it's like lavender, frankincense, I don't usually see peppermint on there.
Is this an uncommon benefit from peppermint oil??
I’m considering refilling my Glade plug-ins with Capri Blue Volcano-scented reed diffuser oil instead of essential oil since the reed oil bottles are much cheaper ($16 for 4oz reed oil vs. $22 for 0.5oz of essential oil).
Has anyone tried this? Or, if not specifically Glade, have you refilled a different plug-in (i.e., Air Wick, Bath & Body Works, Pura, etc.) using reed diffuser oil? If so, did you dilute it with a carrier oil like almond or grapeseed oil, or just use it straight?
Curious to hear what worked for you—what ratios you used (if any), how the scent throw compared to essential oils, and whether it damaged the wick or the plug-in over time. Would love to hear your results before I experiment!
Thanks in advance! ◡̈
This is so they will fit in my mini wellbeing pod
Thanks :)
Ps i have some 10ml bottles that wont fit mystical moment ones
My essential oil collection recently went from about 10 oils to over 75 (thanks facebook marketplace!!) that being said, I feel a bit overwhelmed with all the possible uses of each and every oil.
Do you guys have any good “handbook” recommendations? I really liked ‘The Essential Life’ but with it being branded with Doterra, I don’t know if much of it would be relevant because of all their specialty oil blends recommended in the book. Most of my oils are single ingredient, not any blends from YL, Doterra, etc.
I'm looking for a sweeter less spicy cinnamon scent, I smelled quite a few at some local stores and they all had that "spicy gummy bear" scent rather than a calmer sweeter raw cinnamon scent. I'm planning to mix it with some sweet coconut and vanilla scents if you have any recommendations for those aswell.
Assuming Im using 10 ml of argan oil? Also, im squeezing coq 10 ubiquinol capsule of 200 mg, is that too much?
I am making my own fragrance blends, but I want to enhance the sweetness of the overall scent. Which are the most sweet, creamy, or ambery smelling essential oils that can cut through and tone down more intense floral/citrusy aromas?
Hi everyone! Hoping to know where we can buy guava leaf essential oil that we can use for our research. We already bought in Shopee but it definitely wasn't essential oil. Now we're kinda lost on where to buy inexpensive (pure or at least highly concentrated) essential oil.
Just a little context, we are chemical engineering students from the Philippines researching on the production of air freshener gels. Hope you guys can help us with our research, we only have one sem left until graduation.
My girlfriend very sweetly sewed me up a little fabric bag with dry rice in it that you can heat up in the microwave, the purpose being to put on my ear that has an inner ear infection.
The problem is that she also very sweetly put some essential oils on it (or in it?) that are supposed to help. I am pretty sensitive to smells and the bag smells very strong and gives me a headache.
Is my best bet to just put it outside and air out? I don’t think I can use water and soap on it since there’s rice inside, but maybe they’ll be fine since it’s not like they’ll have time to cook.
heyo
I went on holiday with my family and colleted some lavender to make oils with but on the last day of the holiday it was raining and now the lavender is soaked through ( I know this isn't ideal but is it a death sentence ) I can't really easily get more of it so I really want to save it
I have my EOs diluted to 3%with jojoba oil but I used natrasorb as well at a 2:1 ratio with the oil mixture. It’s fine, but once in the bath I don’t really smell the scents very strongly. Am I doing it wrong? Right now my recipe is 94% salt 4%natrasorb and 2% jojoba/eo.
The mixture smells very strong but in the bath it’s a hint more than anything and after a few minutes I don’t really smell it much. I’m aiming for a lingering scent.
First post here! My skin gets super dry in the winter and cocoa butter works wonders for my skin but I really don’t care for the scent of cocoa butter. I really want to add drops of my patchouli oil directly to it but I read that melting cocoa butter is best. I love patchouli and would love for it to be fairly strong scented (not overbearing though). What’s everyone’s experience with this? If I must melt cocoa butter, how would I go about doing it? What would I need? Any and all advice is appreciated!
EDIT: I added 1-2 drops of patchouli and it made absolutely no difference. I added 1-2 more drops, still no difference. My partner suggests that I let it sit for a while and mix it up again later. I did that and the smell was absolutely unbearable. 100% does not mix well together, please don’t try it. I’m already not a fan of cocoa butter (like…at all) but it’s the only thing that moisturizes my hands really well. I just wanted it to smell…NOT like cocoa butter and failed miserably at trying to change the smell. It was so bad, I actually went to the store and bought 5 different types of hand creams and lotions to try because I’m officially never using cocoa butter again. The patchouli made it smell SO bad.
Hi everyone, I have psoriasis and I’m looking for an essential oil mixture that I can use on my scalp before showers. I was thinking of mixing a few drops of lavender, camellia, and sandalwood essential oils, diluted with jojoba or castor oil (or a combination of both). Would this be safe for my scalp, or could it irritate my psoriasis further? I’d really appreciate your advice. Thanks.
For things that will be used on your body, like sprays or deodorants etc, do you need to buy any specific kind of essential oil or is any fine as long as it's diluted?
I'm looking for natural ways to achieve that classic almond scent, kind of like marzipan or that sweet filling on almond croissants. I keep seeing the best way to achieve this being fragrance oils but I use natural ingredients in my business like essential oils for smell. Anyway, anyone have recommendations how to achieve this smell using naturals opposed to fragrance oils? Thanks!
I've been looking to buy a new diffuser whats my best bet, I was looking at Saje but they don't have the colours I want. I see a lot that use air vs. water but some of the prices are crazy and only allow you to use their oil bends instead of drops of essential oil in water
To make laundry smell a little nicer, in place of using a dryer sheet
But I'm wondering if it actually works, and if there's specific oils that are good for this (All I've read has been lavender, but I really am not a fan of the smell of lavender unfortunately) or if there's ones to stay away from in case they're like a skin irritant.
Like what I specifically heard you do it add a couple drops to laundry balls and dry your laundry with those, and refresh with oil when the scent fades. Usually when I try to google about it, it's people putting essential oils in with their clothes during the wash cycle, which is not something I'm interested in trying.
OK, after reading through a bunch of posts here, it seems like these are the six most recommended essential oils in this sub, and that many are opposed to doTERRA due to MLM and possible ethical issues. Is this a fair summary?
My main purposes for using essential oils are to reduce anxiety and to make my apartment smell nice. Everything else is a bonus to me as I learn more about the variety of benefits that they can provide.
Also, I assume that price, quality, and scents available are some of the main factors in which people choose. What are some of the main pros and cons for the ones listed below, as well as any that I am missing that really should be in this conversation?
Aromatics International
Eden Botanicals
Eden’s Garden
Mountain Rose Herbs
Plant Therapy

Has anyone ever used persimmon oil? Trying to make a stick deodorant with persimmon and I can’t find just straight persimmon oil/ extract. Thank you
The essential oil contains methyl salicylate, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The packaging for the products is not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
I am starting on my journey into oils while trying to rid my beauty routine of chemicals. I am not sure if this is the group to ask, but what brands of oils are natural and clean? I am looking for good brands for castor, jojoba, rosehip, argan, rosemary, sweet almond, & vitamin E. my goal is to make my own blends so that i know the formula is clean. I feel like I can’t trust even the brands claiming to be organic or pure. I know to look for “cold-pressed” and “unrefined”, or at least I’ve been told, but I’d like to know everyone’s recommendations. TIO! 🤍
I'm curious from everyone's experience what brands have the most credibility in the essential oil space as well as the proper testing and due diligence done before they're sold as well as the expiration date and the manufacture date on the product?
