This was just repotted from a smaller one and as you can see it's bending heavily away from the post. I was wondering if it's possible to train, little by little, and bend it back straight to the post.
Any experience?
The Cutting next to this one doesn't have any spots. But obviously this one does. What exactly are they and what should I do about them if anything?
Hello!! I a begginer and a few months ago I got a dragonfruit stalk and I planted it. The reason that I am plating a drsgonfeuit is because of the fruit.
I am living in a third floor. And my dragon fruit is in the balcony. From the main stalk it has grown 3 new stalk. From those 3 new stalk one of them has grown 2 substalk.
I have no idea but I have a feeling that I have to prune or trim my dragon fruit, aboveall the stalk that has grow 2 substalks
What do you think guys??
$9.99 for 1 dragon fruit at Albertsons 😲 What a ripoff. It probably isn’t even good either.
New to growing dragonfruit, ordered a few cuttings on eBay and these two, physical graffiti (thicker one on left corner), and dark star (the longer lankier one) have reached the top of the trellis however the dark star seems like it’s too thin and I’m afraid it may break under the weight of growth, I’ve seen a few people cut back their cuttings around the top of the trellis and was wondering if I should give it a try or just try to support this in another way? Thanks in advance!
I was gifted this plant, I put it in succulent soil with a bit of cow manure perlite and pumice stones. I am not sure what it is and looked it up, wondering if this is a dragon fruit plant and how I should take care of it. Should I wait for it to grow before re potting and building a trellis if it is a dragon fruit plant? I just want to be sure I am caring for it properly, I am in San Diego and it is was raining so I brought it inside. Any help would be appreciated 🙏
P.s. sorry for strange wording, english is not my native language
Hypothetically, if you cut off a cutting from your dragonfruit cactus with aerial roots, could you plant it sideways and grow it upwards from there? Just a random thought.
Hi, my DF plant started splitting at the base (I am talking about the vertical split. The horizontal damage is just a cut that the cutting had already when I planted it and it seems to have healed fine and not affecting the plat at all).
I am not sure why or what can I do to help it. The plant grew a lot in the last few months but it is not even fully grown.
Any advice?
I think she’ll go dormant this winter and stop growing for a while, so this might be my last update for a while!!! (Yes, I have heating in my house and enough light, but growing will be much slower)
All the YouTube videos I've watched, and everything I've ever read online, say it should take a few days to a week to fully callus over, but my first time doing it I left it for more than a few weeks and not even a slight callus formed, lliterally nothing.
Now, I've taken a few more cuttings. It's been a few days and so far, no callus even looks to be forming. Should I give it more time?
My other cutting never callused, but I stuck it in water anyway and it rooted fine. So is a callus all that important? It never got any infection from it.
Do I remove the flower or just leave it alone?
I know I should cut something off, but what?!
