Why am i so hungry in the morning

For context i am a 22F at around 125lbs and 5’8.

I feel a bit self conscious because i eat a lot. Especially in the morning. All those around me have their first meal at around 11 am, and then barely eat anything till they finish work. On the opposite side, I feel like i need to have a breakfast as soon as i get to work, and then i might have a small snack and then lunch again at 12:00 pm. After lunch i feel like i need another snack as well. Some of my coworkers are making fun of me saying why am i always hungry even though i am still lean. I feel like i eat most of my calories in the morning and then in the afternoon i stop getting hungry even though i have a dinner anyways. Is this normal? I feel like i cant control myself with food even though i would like to lose some weight. I cant tell if i eat a lot at work because i am bored, or if i am actually hungry. Does anyone have any advice ?

Rice causing bloating now

I started doing the paleo diet about 3 months ago and recently added back rice. When I eat it now, it gets me bloated. It used to not do that before. Has anyone experienced this? Should I keep reintroducing it in small amounts so that my body can get accustomed to it again?

Can’t lose weight following a nutrition plan + workout

Last year I (30F, no health issues) gained 10 kg as I started remote working. That already happened to me (not 10 kg, but the “I’d like to lose some weight” thing) and I’ve never struggled with losing that bit of extra weight. Lately, instead, I needed to ask professional help. I started a diet plan 2 months ago. Workout plan:

  • 1 h walk in the morning 6 days x week;
  • 1 h fitness (total body/walking - idk if “walking” means the same outside Italy, here it is a class done with a magnetic tapis roulant & music, you basically dance/exercise on it) in the evening 4 days x week.

After a month, I’ve only lost 1 kg. So I changed dietitian… another month at less than 1200 kcal/day, no weight lost. How is it even possible? Out of curiosity, I started checking my weight everyday, just to see how it changes according to what I do/eat. Today I gained 1 kg overnight even if yesterday I ate 1200 kcal, no grains and went for a 1 h run in the morning. I know it is not significant, but where the hell does my body takes the energy to gain weight if I’m constantly burning and eating the bare minimum? Ok, it it probably water but… why??? I will not depress over this situation, but it is super annoying spending energy, time and money and not seeing any result.

Calcium free dairy alternatives

Good afternoon all. Wanted to throw out a question here and see if anyone has an answer for me cause I'm struggling to find one.
Basically, I cant eat anything with calcium in the morning due to medications. Does anyone sell a calcium free substitute for milk products anywhere, or can i make something at home from scratch? Any ideas?

Suggestion on how to remove carbs from my diet

I would like to try non-consuming carbs for a couple of months just to see the results. I have been training for over 4 years now, and I have had good success with my current diet, with whole rice as my main source of carbs, protein meat/fish/chicken, and vegetables, this is mostly what I eat, and in breakfast overnight oats or eggs, now I would like to remove rice and oats from my diet, but how can I sustain my workouts? also, I don't want to lose weight or lose muscle mass, what should I increase in my diet? fats? proteins? can someone point me in the right direction, please

Drop your favorite Low sugar/low starch meals

Hey! Recently I was prescribed a 3 month probiotic and was told I have to cut down on sugars and starches while I taking it (RIP Xmas and Thanksgiving). I can still have some but I want to keep it as low as possible to leave room for cheat days and hidden sugars. My doctor specifically mentioned “sneaky sugars” like potatoes and bread. I need into to make it through, help! Especially with breakfast (I have morning meds that need to be taken with food so fasting is not an option)

Food Noise

I’m in the ideal weight BMI (only 2kgs off being “overweight”) - I know BMI is flawed but painting a picture of myself. I can never stop thinking about food and dieting though. It consumes my thoughts all day everyday. I LOVE food and am constantly having to try really hard not to over eat. I’m always fiddling around on myfitnesspal, checking my cals burned from exercise etc. I’ve tried switching off from tracking my food and exercise but whenever I “relax” I put on weight. I lost 5kg for a holiday recently and felt so good in myself. So relaxed on the tracking and the 5kg came straight back. I’m like a Labrador - I just love food. Can anyone recommend a safe/natural appetite suppressant that actually works? I eat really well but my appetite is ferocious. I’ve done low carb etc but as soon as I restrict a food group I obsess over that food. I don’t eat much processed sugar at all. Any advice appreciated.

To get to the point. family has a history of HBP, diabetes, and I have keloids, fuck me, i guess. Any suggestions for a diet. I'm willing to drop sugar, junk food, and bread. However, i am looking to ask is there one where i can still eat Chicken at least? I like fish but not to that extent. Other factoids, I am rather sedentary. I am working with little money as of the moment. Thank you and have a good day.

Eggs, Meat, and Mushrooms

I’m a 29M. About 5 weeks ago my doctor told me that my cholesterol was too high for the 3rd year in a row, and to cut out carbs or go on medication. I also weighed in at 250lbs at 5’10” at the time.

Well I managed to fix my fatty liver disease by cutting out heavily processed and fast food, might as well try a Hail Mary with another change.

I used to have bagels, pasta, rice, bread as most of my diet, but after realizing trying to eat at the hotbar at earthfare for lunch wasn’t going to work since their meat items usually had rice and was more expensive, I switched to 3 eggs in the morning, home made chicken thighs or roast beef for lunch or dinner, with mushrooms for all 3 meals to help chase away the carb cravings. It’s funny how almost everything in our food supply system has carbs in it. Trips are hard. Hot pot works great though.

Last week I went to the doctor cause I got sick with a throat and ear infection I got after a camping trip. They weighed me and I was shocked to see the scale said I was at 230lbs. I don’t own a bathroom scale so I don’t keep track of this myself that much. I’ve stayed pretty consistent to the diet aside from a couple meals during the camping trip.

I’m working on expanding to a few other low carb items. I think I’m going into ketosis, I’m not getting any side effects that people talk about when it happens. I have noticed when I go hungry, it’s not as debilitating of an experience as it used to be on carbs. I feel like I have more energy and I can move around more compared to the higher carb diet.

I’m more posting this to ask what potential nutritional blind spots I might be missing. A partial hurdle is meal prep, it’s kinda a pain, the oven helps, trying to bring in some greens like broccoli to diversify a bit. Obviously this appears to be working for weight loss which was kinda a secondary goal, but is this gonna be an issue for the primary goal of fixing the cholesterol levels?

Any advice appreciated, thanks!

What will happen if I keep eating this way?

Food has always been a comfort for me. I notice my eating habits have went from bad to worse. On a typical day breakfast will be a large bowl of peanut butter captain crunch cereal. Shortly after, I will go in the living room to watch Chopped on Hulu and eat an entire bag of chips and drink a mountain dew. For lunch it's chicken flavored ramen with a heck load of salt and another moutain dew. Shortly after I'll eat something sweet like a honey bun. Later in the day I will get another mountain dew and make a fried bologna and cheese sandwich with chips, Chip dip, and a dessert. I honestly hate eating this way. I love food and it literally numbs my feelings when I eat like this, but my stomach can't handle eating like this. I need a wakeup call. Please be brutally honest with me. What will happen if I keep eating this way?

started eating 3/4 meals a day.

hi, i'm 21.

ever since i was nine i kinda naturally started eating only one meal a day so basically dinner without exception for now more than 10 years.

i know it's bad but i say naturally because i never had a huge appetite and also because i used to like being very skinny i just thought it fit my face more.

the thing is obviously my health has been not going well and especially my energy level so it's been two weeks since i have been eating 4 meals a day !

in terms of energy and overall sense of being it's been so great and i am starting to get hungry again ! but i have an issue.

Everytime i eat i have so much pain in my stomach, tummy like there's too much food in there but i don't remember feeling that way when i used to eat 3 meals a day when i was younger.

is it normal ? will it go away overtime ? like why do it feels like this ? should i less and eat more and more each day ?

Is this right?

Over the last 2 or so years I have really put on some pounds. Always thought I ate half decent but knew drinking 42 (exaggeration but still) beers every weekend wasn't doing anything to help the cause. Decided I needed to take back control of my body and get right. Its a real bummer over time watching myself go from chunky to shredded at 180lbs to slowly putting it back on then all of the sudden I find myself buying 2x or 3x shirts and being uncomfortable.

Currently using MyNetDiary to track calories and its recommending I average 2249 calories per day. I have been getting in about 1500-1800 per day. For measurables I am 27yo, 6'0 and 285lbs as of today.

I guess a few questions from me to others, Is that too low of a calorie count? Do I need to modify anything? I don't exactly have time to workout often enough to make a "routine" out of it. I have 2 kids by myself about 80% of the time so getting to the gym is difficult and as it gets colder here bike rides and what not will eventually go away. How long at this rate would it take to get to 220lbs? How long into this will I need to modify something so my body doesn't get too accustomed to it and stop working for me? Any suggestions welcome! Thank you.

Meals throughout the day are as follows.

Breakfast~

2 Eggs cooked Medium

2 Jimmy dean turkey sausage patties

Lunch~

150grams of Cooked Jasmine Rice

220grams of Grilled skinless chicken breast

Dinner~

220grams Grilled Flank Steak

100Grams Roasted Broccoli

Snacks~

1 Quest protein bar

Also all my vitamins and what not go in here (Fish Oil, MultiVitamin, Fiber and Ashwagandha)

This is a weekly thing, I have no issues eating the same thing, it tastes good and keeps on track for eating properly.

Totals come out to 1547 Calories, 88g carbs, 155g protein and 69g fat. There are some lost calories in here from sauces or seasonings but id say all in all less than 60 calories in total. Drinking roughly a gallon of water a day.

I feel full by the end of the day. More energized, less sore, focus is up. Haven't been drinking. When I did I had 2 vodka waters. Gross enough to make me stop entirely but I can't say I wont drink at all.
