In about 2 weeks I got a sniper post. Around a nice little village with the best overlook. to my right the police station and to my left. A waterpump. (Distance 200 a 300 meter) killed around 20 people. But today I saw three players... killed 2 of them.. but te last was playin hide n seek... couldnt find me. that player got the best of me.. he or she killed me. I played for around 2 weeks at that same spot. Never leave your post. I went behind the player.. to shoot it down.. because It had a nice little hat. That I wanted.. but allas he or she won. Question for the Modders. The server I'm on, I have this whole Mad Hatter thing going on. Is there a mod to get like a giant tophat that I can have positioned above the gate to my base?

My base lasted a week. And by lasted, I mean it was raided twice in that time and practically demolished the second time. I've got to admit, it's very funny! Some lessons learned. Like, mainly... don't bother building bases.

My base was in one of those big barns with the sliding doors. I put a gate up and walled off the other two doors internally. I'd begun the process of doubling up on the walls and intended to eventually double the gate. Had a 4 digit lock on the gate and barbed wire on all walls and gates just to make it a pain in the arse to get near.

It first got raided within a day or two. Someone got in, took a sea chest, but kindly locked back up behind them and left most of the good stuff. Weird.

Second time, someone got in, took a load of stuff, and then dismantled all of my walls and the gate to steal the materials (I guess).

So much for that. 🤣

sorry no images to back this up but I was playing livonia official servers when I cam across a military base where I found an sks with a few rounds and a m16 with no mag, I dropped my shotgun and crossbow for them and went on my way.

on my way to the next town (if you can even call it a town) a pack of wolves wanted me for lunch, shot two and ran to the buildings I could just a little bit away stopping in short bursts to hit the wolves with my hatchet. got into a building and logged off for like an hour.

cam back with yellow health an looked around me. a small town with 5-6 buildings, a well, and a military tower for some reason. I tended to my need and was about to be on my way until sssssSSSSSSHHH BOOM, I knew it was a gas zone dropping but in a place like this? no way. I was wrong. slowly died and still to this day am pissed off.

Dayz would greatly benefit from an overhaul to the medicine/nutrition aspects of the game.

Contracting heavy metal poisoning from predator meat isn’t very realistic, but let’s talk about how it could become realistic in the future.

Predator meat should come with a risk of contracting parasites. This would also introduce a “parasite cleanse” to the game. Having a parasite would destroy your energy and calorie-intake.

Would also love for vitamin deffiencies to be introduced with moderate debuffs when contracted. Imagine getting scurvy from not eating enough vitamin-C, or having a capped stamina bar from not enough protein. Imagine “rabbit starvation” is added to the game from not consuming any fats in your diet.

Any other ideas? Do you hate this idea? Leave your thoughts.

Still reeling from a typical encounter on the OG Xbox One - I was doing a lap around my base perimeter for about an hour at night, didn’t see anyone. When I finally returned to my base, there was someone prepping to raid it, literally sitting at a fire at the gate, ringing his pants out. I laid down nearby and carefully took aim with the scope of my CR527 and fired a clean headshot at the sitting duck.

Literally zero impact, and enough lag that I didn’t even see him put his pants on before he ran away into the dark.

I think it’s time to upgrade. Anyone else out there still surviving on the original Xbox?

One hoard of a few hundred zeds that generally stick together and roam across the map and act as a moving POI. Make them tend to migrate toward heavy gunfire even when far away.

Having a virtually unbeatable hoard roaming the map would give a true sense of fear of making too much noise(more for endgame wars/raids). Also, imagine the feeling of walking through the woods and starting to hear the distant growls.

The hoard should be designed as a boss of sorts. Every server has one until the infected are disbanded and killed. Once the hoard is dead, it will take a couple weeks for another hoard to gather in size. I imagine it starts with 10 infected walking through towns and pickup any spawned zed in the city.

This would also finally give something for everyone on the server to work toward together.

Been trying to find a boat on Sakhal official for a few weeks. Gave up hope to be honest but as always in Dayz when you stop looking for something you usually find it and there it was, parked between a couple of ice sheets.

I had the time of my life for all of 20 mins.

Decided to make a coffee so brought the boat to a halt in the middle of the ocean, switched off the engine, stood up in the boat and logged off.

I must have been offline for no more 3 minutes. Logged back in and I'm treading water, out in the middle of the ocean with no boat in sight. Like the shit is gone lmao.

Anyone ever had this happen? I'm guessing it glitched under the water or despawned somehow because the engine was fine.

I've been playing the game a long time so I was able to just laugh it off but damn....

Can I build out in the void zone? Someone told me that items “ revert back to where they found” whatever that means but what about a tent or walls and gates

Im having such a hard time finding these. I check the green hunter houses and the ferris wheel areas near the capital and have no luck.

Hi all. After some advice about salmonella. I stupidly cut up my old body with no gloves. Proceeded to cook fish and some goat steaks and eat them. I then get salmonella. I’ve eaten 4 charcoal. Didn’t cure it. I then found 5 multivitamins. Ate 4 and logged out. Started next day with no salmonella. Awesome I thought. Drank loads of water and ate some food. About ten mins later I started to puke again. Took the last multi and still have salmonella. Now for the advice. Should I have thrown away the food I cooked earlier? Or emptied my bottle of water? I’m not sure if I have contaminated it all or if I’m just unfortunate. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I prefer playing official I have Livonia but the only map on official is the new one. Or am I missing something in the settings

Just found two KA-M’s at tisy, never found one outside of gas zones or bunkers. Did they change that or was I just unlucky throughout my dayz experience.

If you have a backpack in your hands and put each crate in that backpack and drop them in the vicinity from that bag you place crates on top of each other perfectly

I had 4 barrels and a sea chest inside a 4 walled locked base just disappear.. I use them daily and used them yesterday. No walls destroyed and all the good stuff was in my tent and car and nothing gone ..so no one broke in .. I thought maybe some bastard just threw in some grenades and destroyed em but .. I also had a 3 barrel stash a good 15 minutes away and same thing .. 2 despawned .. the one that didn’t had grenades and a vss in it so again I don’t see it being a player or otherwise they woulda took that stuff .. any idea?

Someone stole my boat and I'm trying to steal one back to get off the island. I got my dmr and m4 with plenty of ammo. Just nobody to shoot but me : (

Im doing a challenge where I’m going to be making a base with crates, barrels, etc.. but the catch is all my loot will be out in the open. In an unprotected house. No gates, no locks, nothing, just stashes and loot inside a free and open house for anyone to take. Curious to see how long it can last if it’s in a really off grid and secluded house.
