How are people making these? Its like a fire barrel split in half with food grates to cook on them

Just curious, because this game is a fucking vibe for me. And even with the shitty Xbox UI and controls, no other game really matches the survival experience and mechanics on console for me.

So I'm curious.

How many of you play to get geared and catch bodies?

And how many of you play for the survival experience and atmosphere?

Edit: I'd like to add that I get bored afterwhile of being geared etc so I I blow my head off somewhere a freshie can find me like a loot fountain, or get into a gun fight.

And he whiffed, some shock damage but I didn’t go down…while I’m at the water source in BoP.

Ran to heal my 2 bleeds, my partner pushed. The coward killed my partner but camped the house next to water pump because he made 2 zombies mad.

I pushed with the only bullet I had and a BK-18. He was waiting inside behind 2 closed doors, trying to do a tactical lean on the door crossing but missed his shot and I took him down in 1. What a little bitch.

I've noticed people on community services are so kill hungry compared to official servers.

Last few times I was playing I got captured so many times on official compared to community sever where I get shot straight away.

I go to military camps, I shoot zombies loudly, where the hell you all at! I hear you shooting over the mountains but no one ever comes. I have too much loot and need a restart. Also, thank you to the camper in the trees for the gear on the north side hill above the military base NW of Vysokoc. You must have been chilling on your fire snacking on fish for 20 minutes before I made it to you. Pretty sure you had a homie but he left you in a flash. I still got a wild heartbeat sneaking up on you. No other game gives you that feeling 🙌🏼

Some absolute hero just met me as a freshie in Rudnogorsk and loaded me out.

Believe me when I say I'm not even close having ever gotten this deep into the game.

I stumbled upon a base yesterday someone built in a day or 2. It was in an area I mostly lurk through as I've never seen anyone there the whole time I've played dayz. Funny thing was is that I found it as it was being raided. 2 cars, a tent, sea chest and multiple barrels. I only ran through there a day or 2 ago so they must have been hard at work only to be raided lol

It was a good spot and somewhere I wouldn't expect much foot traffic

I am playing on a console official server with a buddy and we had a few questions about despawns. We set up a simple one wall one fence base with a wooden crate we crafted inside. How long does it take for a wall and wooden crate to despawn and if I interact with them will they still despawn at the same rate? Thanks

I've found about a dozen 40mm explosive grenades, but only a few frags. If I place the 40mms near a wooden wall and throw a frag on them, will they go off and destroy the wall the same was a group of frags would?

My character’s thirst and hunger was yellow so I went into my inventory and did I what I could.

I ate powdered milk and then downed a Mad Monk Kvass.

How my character didn’t spontaneously projectile vomit is beyond me.

All my searching tells me fox meat is safe to eat once cooked but I cooked some on a sharpened stick, made sure it was done (cooked, not burnt), tried to eat it a few times but it was too hot hurting my health. Once it had cooled a bit (a few minutes at most) I ate it, puked and had the salmonella icon. I died right after that but due to other health issues. This was a red fox, fairly easy to kill, it didn't seem to try and run from me. Anyone have an idea why I got salmonella poisoning?

 What’s you guy’s favorite thing to do on Sakhal so far? Mine is probably putting fires on the coast to attract people, little do they know they’re rigged with tripwires.

Me and my boy have been scouring the map for days looking for a boat and they are all gone. Anyone know the despawn timer? (It is not 1.5 hours)
