While bsky is mostly tech at this point I'm trying to get more traction there for the beverage industry, give me a follow if you're there https://bsky.app/profile/alexjustesen.com
Witch Meadow Black is a 16% abv imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels with rhubarb root, vanilla, and spices. It is inspired by Rhubarbo, a type of amaro made with rhubarb root.
The beer itself is incredible. There’s a strong note of peppermint. Overall it is a very interesting stout unlike any I’ve ever had.
For anyone in or around Hartford looking to support some killer local metal bands!

Any CT breweries selling cold brew coffee these days? Either cans or growlers.
Love Treehouse but closer would be nice. Thanks.
Im taking a day trip up to Springfield. Are there any breweries you’d recommend up there? My CT favs are anything from Fox Farm, Caius, NEBCO, and most sours if it helps

Yeah not a CT beer but I'm drinking it in CT...
It looks like Brewery Legitimus is opening a bar and kitchen in Collinsville, saw they had a liquor license sign at the traffic light today, then saw the job posting as I couldn't find anything online about it...
Hi! We’ll be at the Soundside music festival this weekend. We are staying at a hotel in Hamden so will be between there and Bridgeport. Any suggestions for a beer store with a decent selection?
I took a bit of a drinking hiatus for about a year. So was out of the loop for awhile. Did they really close their doors? Such a loss if they did. That place was an absolute gem.
I’m looking to host a small event for my husbands birthday next year that can accommodate around 20-30 people and allows small children preferably (but not necessary). Fairfield/New Haven county area would be best.
I know most have drink/food minimums and I’d want somewhere that can do a cash bar for the guests and then I can pay the remaining if it’s not met.
Anyone have any ideas?
Drop em. Im not huge fan of overly sweet desert stouts or barrels that taste more like the liquor than beer. My tops are.
NEBCo: Storm Trooper
Hooker: chocolate stout, Munson’s Choc colab. This literally tastes like drinking Munson’s milk chocolate, absolutely delicious. The double taste like Hersey’s a in can.
New Park: Ferrous, J Renee Roasters colab
Fox Farm: Witch
Fat Orange Cat: Purrkatory, Perkatory roasters colab
Back East: Ex Machina (I haven’t seen this in awhile.)
I will be visiting my fathers grave next weekend and I would like to hang and have a beer with him and the rest of the family that will be there. He drank Ballantine Ale in a bottle, I haven’t seen it in years……… Anyone know where I can find this in Fairfield or litchfield county?
Willibrew has a Labyrinth keg they just tapped. It is a pomegranate mango sour if you are into that. I’m not but thought I would post it
I didn't even know about this brewery as I rarely cross the river, but looks like they are closing their doors on September 28, 2024 after 4 years in business...
Hi everyone,
I just created this account for this post. I live in Milford, CT and I deliver beer / garage fridges all over the state for $300. If you'd like to have a beer fridge dropped of send me a message at 203.208.8030.
I am going to be in the New Haven area on a Wednesday night. I was hoping to visit a brewery that also has a full kitchen. I am not looking for the hype brewery with 12 hazy IPA's but rather a well rounded brewery with excellent food. Do you guys have anything like that around here?
Just curious if anyone has had this experience. Every nebco can I buy when I pop it, it gets all over. They’re not shaken, they’re not warm, they are standing upright in my fridge. I dont open them like a maniac.
No matter how slow and gentle I go, it splashes on the palm of my hand. It’s really not a huge deal, just curious if this has been happening to anyone else.
I’d say I noticed it in the last 8 months or so.
Sea hag, fuzzy and face hugger are constantly in my fridge because it’s amazing beer for the price.
Anyone else?
Hey everyone, a partner and I are thinking of opening a coffee shop in the hartford area and would love any feedback you might have about the coffee scene here in the city. We made a survey to organize responses and feedback. We will enter survey respondents into a drawing to win free cold brew for a week once we are open!
I noticed a new sign up at the bottle return place in Middletown that said “some craft beer is not eligible for a deposit” or something like that. Anyone know the backstory? Maybe it’s due to the breweries that don’t even have a UPC code on their cans?
(I would have just asked but friendly customer service is not one of their specialities.)
An incredible stout aged for 31 months in the barrels of one of my favorite bourbons, woodfood reserve double oaked. The aroma is full of rich chocolate brownies and the taste is unbelievable.
