Hey guys!
So I'm working on a Genshin OC cosplay and I got this broken sword. I wanna edit it a bit and make it into a sword that looks like it comes from Genshin, specifically liyue. The whole handle is made out of metal and idk how to edit it or add onto it so if anyone has any ideas please let me know!
So I want to get contacts for a cait cosplay I'm putting together and read that circle lenses, as compared to normal colored ones, give a much bigger pop because theyre larger. I already wear normal contacts so I have a perscription as well as my eye measurements. Because circle lenses are larger they don't match the measured diameter of my eye (I'm a 13.8) I wanted to know what diameter circle lenses I should get. The smallest circle lenses I saw were about 14mm. I've tried researching but have come up short on anything and wanted to know if there's a certain diameter I should or should not get with my measurements or if it doesn't really matter.
Up until now, I have been using DAP to fill gaps between pieces of EVA foam. However, I am beginning to second guess this strategy following the first con that I did in which I used foam for a part of the cosplay set due to some unplanned part separations (although they otherwise held up, which was the main concern thereof). As well, I'm starting to plan for a foam build that will be done independently from what was done before (as I had assistance in the former case, but would like to give it a try for myself without anyone else to back me up). In both cases, I am going to be using foam clay as an independent or additional reinforcement measure for the connection points and would like some pointers on its application at the various locations on the armor piece.
Any thoughts?
I NEED HELP! Both the wigs I have are really smelly and i’ve got no clue. Anyhow, how do I get the smell out and how to I prevent it from happening again. The same thing is happening with my costumes but I know why. (body odor) Again, how do I prevent the smell?
Our team is participating in a school-internal football tournament. We would like to paint some patterns on our faces before the match, similarly to the picture (couldn't find a better one). As I have no experience regarding makeup whatsoever, I am wondering how to achieve this look and most importantly, make it last while sweating and playing sports. I assume waterproof eyeliner + some fixing spray would be an idea? Although there must be a better solution. Any advice and help is greatly appreciated!
tldr; How to paint black lines on face and make them stick/last while playing sports
I'm gonna be cosplaying for the first time ever and I need to find red eye contacts, but the ones on Amazon are all unreviewed, so where should I order red eye contacts?
I signed up for a cosplay date event at a local con where two participants pretend to be on a dating show in character. I didn’t really care weather I was the one asking questions or answering them, but I thought it would be funny to get some question ideas (family friendly)
I've found a disguise that has it, but I just need the pin...
Do any of y'all know something that somewhat resembles it or if there's a replica of it somewhere?
I'm out of my depth as to how to look for it...
hey! so I (along with a friend of mine) are attempting to cosplay Cecil and Carlos from Welcome to Night Vale, I am doing Carlos, however, i'm just wondering where is a good idea to look for some of the most obscure parts of the cosplay, for reference i'm looking for
Also if it helps, i live in Australia
Hi guys!! My younger sibling (15 NB) is really into cosplay and I want to get them something they enjoy for Christmas. I’m much older and out of the loop with cosplay, and have no personal experience with special effects makeup/costume design and these types of things.
Are there any kind of general tools/craft supplies/materials/trinkets that you’d be excited to get for your hobby? Specific brands that are respected? I know maybe this is hard without knowing the exact characters my sibling cosplays, but even I do not know the answer to that.
I’m trying to spend $100 or less so do with that what you will. Thank you in advance (-:
Hello everyone, first timer here! I have never had to plan out a cosplay before and never have contributed in cosplaying, so I have no idea where to begin. Well, I kind of do. I'm trying to find a trustable person that takes eig commissions, but I seem to have no luck! Yes, I have looked on Etsy, and almost all the shops have inaccurate photos attached to their listings and are sketchy in some way. Is there any good shops taking commissions on Etsy or anyone taking wig commissions anywhere else that's experienced in the craft? Would love some guidance and help!!
Hi all I have very sensitive eyes, and have been wanting to give cosplay contacts a try. Any suggestions to brand, type, care products that would be greatly appreciated.
hi, i bought this jacket at the thrift store and reaaaally want to use it for an agatha harkness coat cosplay because the fit is so perfect.
but i cant get over it being the wrong colour and having a slight pattern. i looked into dyeing it, but its too dark. and id also like to sew in a few panels in the back to give it the swoosh factor. i dont have enough sewing experience to make a coat from scratch, or enough money to buy a replica.
so my main question is: do you think it would work to fully paint it a dark teal colour with acrylic paint + fabric medium? from what im seeing, it might work, but i cant find any examples from anyone who's fully painted an entire garment, not just a section.
it seems the fabric medium would stop it from being crunchy. id appreciate any help. thanks!
What type of material can be used to approximate the silver stripes on the shirt? It doesn't need to be screen accurate, I'm building something different but I would like something similarly shiny and flexible.
hi !I wanna craft this cosplay and I'm wondering what should I use for this pattern. I thought of paint for fabric or just glue and glitter? give me an advice please 🙏

I'm fairly new to cosplay, much less cosplays that need makeup. I have a handful of pallets but none of them very pigmented or versatile. Any recommendations on inexpensive but good quality, vibrant and pigmented pallets?
I want to do a cosplay like that (photo found on google) but I don't really know where and what to look for...
In September I placed a cumulative order (cosplay and wig in pre-sale) from uwowo and received some wigs that have become in stock shortly after. Later, some cosplays in this order have become in stock but are not sent out yet, I think because they are waiting for all of them to be in stock. A few days ago I made another cumulative order, but this time with some cosplays in stock and some in pre-sale. Does anyone know if the cosplays in stock will be sent now or will they wait for the ones that are currently in pre-sale? (sorry for any grammatical errors, english isn't my first language)
So I have a four foot broom handle with a diameter of a little over an inch that I wanna use as a core for a prop. I’m having trouble coming up with what I should make though. I just wanna make something at most 5 feet tall (maybe a little bit over), and have it be really sturdy. Any ideas?
So I’m currently majorly con crunching a jinx cosplay, but I’m also on a really tight budget, does anyone know if there’s any free jinx sewing patterns, or at least ones that are less expensive? I just really can’t afford the price point that most are at right now.🫠 i’ve looked around on Etsy, but most are hovering around the $15 mark. The convention is this weekend, so I’ll need it pretty soon lol.
