Far above Cayuga's waters,
with its waves of blue,
Stands our noble Alma Mater,
glorious to view.
Lift the chorus, speed it onward,
loud her praises tell;
Hail to thee our Alma Mater!
Hail, all hail, Cornell!

I love you, you sexy mf. If I didn't just get my car fixed, I'd join fr. You are my icon.
Hey everyone,
Current HS Senior in NY here:
I'll get straight to the point: Could someone tell me about this major and if they like it? The reason I'm interested is because I've read a lot of wine books in my spare time and am aspiring to become a chemistry major. I also love the scene in Parks and Rec where April makes fun of the wine tasters. I also have helped to grow grapes with young kids as part of leading my summer camp cohort in a community garden and simply want to know more about viticulture and everything about it.
I understand that at Cornell I am unable to do a dual Chem (normal college) + V&E (CALS), which is unfortunate, and I have a research paper that I have done as part of Weill Cornell Medicine that has NOTHING to do with winemaking :>(but still sort of has the same name)
I've known about the major since freshman year of HS and it has always been in the back of my head, so if anyone could tell me more about it and what it fully entails I would be so grateful. I understand there is a mandatory internship program and there are Vineyards on the campus (?). Would be so fun to grow some grapes all over again and have some wine :) Thanks. Feel free to DM me anything specific.
I’ve taken the ourbus several times before to nyc, and I know that sometimes that they have two stops or destinations. For example, my ourbus ticket to NYC would stop somewhere in NJ for people who were on the same bus but purchased the Ithaca to NJ ticket.
Is there any way to check beforehand if your bus has another stop/destination?

hi! i'm a freshman engineering student and i am looking to pursue a health policy minor. i was just wondering which classes here i should pick, because i'm looking to take grade-booster classes if possible (to balance out my difficult engineering classes :/ )! please help!
Would you say that hypothetically getting a fake id would be worth it freshman year?
Is Ganem going to curve the class too? Or just the exams and that counts as the curve? Because right now Im looking at around a C- if he only curves th exams which isn't great for med school. Would that C- be curved as well?
I’m a current student at CAS and my friends in CALS just told me this. I knew they were both land grant schools but is the number really that high?
TL;DR: i needed to rant ab being sick + has anyone been able to get their finals pushed back like a few weeks or more (ur girl is not doing well 😔✋🏼)
hey y'all, i got mono at the start of the semester and mostly recovered these past few months. i've had like progressively worsening post-viral issues (prob POTS + more), but they were at least manageable...until a week ago (this's been hell 😭😭) -- i've randomly woken up to these weird episodes that last like 4-5 hours where my heart rate SKYROCKETS from 60 to 170 bpm within like 2-4 minutes, hot flashes (i just turned 20??😐), nausea, dizziness, trouble breathing, etc for no reason. all of this happens while asleep/resting and lasts like 4-5 hrs per episode. i've honestly lost track of how many times this's happened, maybe 4/7 days this week? the thing that sucks is i can't sleep/each episode takes up the rest of the day to recover from.
i tried visiting cornell health, but the pcp didn't do f*ck all (essentially "i am going to do 0 testing," dismiss all of ur medical concerns, and claim with no evidence u simply "have anxiety"💀) -- the medical gaslighting is REEEAAAAALLLLL. plus, it takes weeks to see a cardiac/neurology specialist
AND NOW I HAVE AN UPPER RESPIRSTORY INFECTION 😭😭😭 i was able to get my weekend finals moved to tmr/later this week, but i haven't been able to study at ALL -- like bro i can't even do the basics like sleep, breathe, or get out of bed atp ): i don't tolerate ibeprofun well so that's not an option either. i just dk what to do, i have 1 final/day for 5 days starting tmr morn, so if anyone has experienced smthn like this and been able to get their finals moved back pls let your girl know!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼
Please let me know the average class age, work experience, and average GPA of the Cornell MILR program. How selective is it? Thank you.
I have a professor who is insisting that the final paper is due a few days earlier than the date published on the finals schedule. Is this allowed?
Hi everyone, I was wondering if there are any sophomores at Cornell HEOP I could speak to? I want to transfer :)
Hi! I had a lot of trouble attending lecture for prelim3/ final content due to mental health issues. Can someone please provide me study guides/ notes for DEA1500 intro to env psychology? Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you!
Hi all,
Looking to carpool with someone down to Maryland some time between this Sunday (12/15) and this upcoming Tuesday (12/17). I have a hockey bag, a backpack, and a duffel. If you have a car and are heading to MD, please feel free to reach out to me via message :)
Thank you!
I am having a fever rn and i literally did nothing but staying in bed today except for a struggling dinner. I have CS1110 and EcOn1120 tmr afternoon and should I am trying to email the profs. Anyone knows how it would go?
where do we get the old prelims? like the fall 2024 prelim 1
Why do Cornell Police patrol roads off campus? You would think they would have enough to do on campus. Does that mean Tompkins county sheriffs and state troopers should start patrolling campus and issuing tickets also. Leave the local folks alone and stay on campus and do your job!
Has anyone had success transferring credit from a NYC college?
Ever since I got to Cornell, I feel as if I am never doing enough. I am never satisfied with what I accomplish. There is always someone next to me who is doing more. what are some practical tips on how to focus on your own journey rather than comparing yourself to others?
Hi everyone,
My little brother (21) is heading to Cornell for a semester this January, and he’s super excited (and so am I!). I want to get him a gift that will be either helpful or fun during his time there.
I was thinking of something like a café or bar gift card, or maybe a gift card for a campus store? Or maybe something that every American student should have? Do you have any recommendations for places around Cornell that would be useful or enjoyable for him?
What next?
