Lost my stroller at Coquitlam center

Checked lost and found, called non emergency, checked various FB groups. No luck. It was lost on Friday November 1st evening in the parking lot... Any suggestions on what else I can try? And yes... There's a chance it could be lost forever but if there's anything else I can try I would appreciate any suggestions. TIA!!!

Where do you get your tires changed to winters?

Hi folks - I usually get mine changed at Costco but it’s booked up tight.

I go Kal Tire when I’m in a bind but it runs close to 200$ after taxes.

Can anyone recommend more affordable tire changes places? Thanks!

Mundy Park

With today's wind storm the park is absolutely dangerous. Went through the dog loop today at about noon, really dumb idea. Tree's down everywhere, cracking of trees and extreme danger. Many fully fallen large trees stuck and suspended in the canopy not attached to anything. Hope the city can attend to it quickly.

Removal of electric fireplace in a condo - who to call?

Hi everyone,

My condo has an electric fireplace I would like removed. I would want the wall patched up/painted and the flooring patched up as well. I contacted Strata about it and they asked for a copy of the contractor's worksafe bc clearance letter and 3rd party insurance liability certificate.

All the services I look up regarding fireplaces are for installing one. Has anyone hired a business to do the removal? Or would I have to hire someone to remove it, and a separate business to redo the floor and the wall?

Thank you in advance!

Noisy streets to avoid living next to in Coquitlam

I wanted to know your ideas on noisy streets that you would avoid living next to in Coquitlam. There is so much traffic in some of the streets as can be seen from these sources:

I wonder what are your personal experiences. Have you lived nearby a busy road? Was it bearable? Does having all windows shut help? At what time of the day it becomes so busy?

I am particularly interested in first line buildings/townhouses/houses that face directly some of the busy roads.

Thank you.

Is any fireworks going on right now?

I live in Westwood Plateau, and I heard a multiple bang sounds for at least 30 seconds out side.

But I don't see any fireworks out side.

Could it be a shooting incident?

Where to pump tires for free?

Before I would get my tires pumped for free at the Esso station by brentwood but recently moved to Coquitlam centre and paid 2 dollars last night at the Esso location by the centre and their pumps don't work, instead of putting air in it dropped to below 30 psi because their stupid pump can't outpressure above 30 psi.

I dont want to pay again to find their pumps not working, my tire is dangerously deflated. Anyone know where I can pump tires for free in coqui area? Any answers would be greatly appreciated

Edit: Thanks for all the answers, I went to Costco to pump my tires and heck yeah it was free

I find it funny

I find it funny how our all mighty mayor is so quiet lately. Must be because of the waste water treatment plant in North Vancouver court case that he is caught up in,is back in the news. #interesting.

Halloween pranks has begun - the teens are out in force

It's that time of the year and the teenagers are out in force. Yesterday around the Burke Mountain Area a kid threw a slime ball at my car while I was driving, kid was masked up and out for shenanigans.

My car is moderately tough so I'm not too worried about damage but do be aware it is shenanigans seasons, and be ready for trouble, mostly harmless but I guess it is the season for tricks.

Be careful up by Panorama/Heritage Woods

My mom and dog just came inside after I heard loud bangs going off outside. A car full of kids (I’m assuming it’s kids) were driving up our street and setting off fireworks on the sidewalk. There were fireworks going off all around them and my dog won’t stop crying and shaking. I’m so pissed off right now. They could’ve killed someone.
