Where to buy fireworks?

I recall a few years back the kwikwetlem first nation were selling fireworks. I don’t see any signs posted this year. Anyone know where I can/should buy fireworks from? Thanks

I have been dealing with shoulder pain for a few years now. Been to Physio and Chiro before without any certain diagnosis. I was wondering if anyone know any good Physio for shoulder and neck pain in Coquitlam/Burnaby/Vancouver?

I find it funny

I find it funny how our all mighty mayor is so quiet lately. Must be because of the waste water treatment plant in North Vancouver court case that he is caught up in,is back in the news. #interesting.

Halloween pranks has begun - the teens are out in force

It's that time of the year and the teenagers are out in force. Yesterday around the Burke Mountain Area a kid threw a slime ball at my car while I was driving, kid was masked up and out for shenanigans.

My car is moderately tough so I'm not too worried about damage but do be aware it is shenanigans seasons, and be ready for trouble, mostly harmless but I guess it is the season for tricks.

Be careful up by Panorama/Heritage Woods

My mom and dog just came inside after I heard loud bangs going off outside. A car full of kids (I’m assuming it’s kids) were driving up our street and setting off fireworks on the sidewalk. There were fireworks going off all around them and my dog won’t stop crying and shaking. I’m so pissed off right now. They could’ve killed someone.

Looking for something cheap to do Sunday? Come watch a roller derby game!

https://preview.redd.it/jeslhzph5zwd1.png?width=2550&format=png&auto=webp&s=8cd598b04b003f0523e37366c76e901cb323bb87

We are your local team (Terminal City) and we're playing back to back games this Sunday against North Island Roller Derby and Greater Vancouver Roller Derby. And it's true, we do smash into other humans while speeding around on roller skates!

We're playing at the Poirier Forum (618 Poirier Street); doors open at 1:00pm, with the first whistle at 1:30pm for the first game, and 3:30 for the second. Snacks, drinks, merch, and raffle tickets are available to purchase, and entry is by donation. That being said, no one is ever turned away for lack of funds and donations are always optional.

Please dress warmly! Our venue is cold (same temp as outside usually). There are small bleachers in the venue, but we recommend bringing camping chairs to sit trackside for the best view of the action. This is also a family-friendly event, and we work hard to make sure our games are safe and fun.

If you don't know what roller derby is or would like a rundown of the rules, check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OId6gTd2LCM for a quick (1 minute) explanation!

A game takes about 90 minutes including halftime and timeouts. We hope to see you there :)

Anyone know what time I should be looking up today for the low Flyover. They are honouring a WW2 vet living in Coquitlam who is turning 100 today.

Skating Rinks for a date

Hey Coquitlam,

I want to take a date to a skating rink and I was hoping to get some recommendations about which ones are good and which ones aren’t.

There’s a time crunch for myself as well as it’s a Sunday afternoon that I’m free enough to go.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Lifelabs Walk-in?

I have to go to Lifelabs for bloodwork. I checked different locations. They're all booked up for at least the next month. Can I just show up at 8am and wait in line and do a walk in? Or do I have to book an actual appointment and wait a month? I haven't been there in over a year. Have they changed their policies?

Audiologist Recommendation

Hi I need to go for a hearing test for my tinnitus and hyperacusis. If anyone has this condition and has gone to a local audiologist, please recommend someone for me (and let me know your experience). The local ENT (Dr. Gooi) is booked until FEB. I can't see him until then. I have already been to a walk in clinic. Thanks.

Police Activity at Terry Fox Secondary

Hey all! Does anyone know what’s happening at Terry Fox Secondary right now? There is probably 10 police cars who have blocked off an area with tape and have some sort of police dog sniffing it out, and some kids crying on the side of the road. Just concerned for the community and kids at the school as it loos very serious.

Where does my compost go?

Hi everyone,

I found this link in Vancouver's website about where their compost goes after it's been put out in the green bin: https://vancouver.ca/home-property-development/green-bin-composting-food-scraps-and-yard-waste.aspx

Is this the same for the compost we put out in Coquitlam? I couldn't find anything on Coquitlam's website.
