Ok so I don't think The Big Day deserved the hate it got. I actually love this album it's fun to listen to and the melodies and production are so good plus all of the features are insane like having SWV, John Legend, Megan Thee Stallion, Randy Newman, Shawn Mendes etc all on one album is so cool. I love all the songs. People just hate that Chance decided to have some fun and do something different. He took a step outside of the box of what he usually did and I personally love the end result. I think fans didn't know how to deal with the shift from his old material to the new direction he took on this album but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't care that it's "corny" or whatever. Haters need to learn how to have fun and appreciate fun lyrics like a lot of the rap songs back in the 80's and 90's had corny lyrics too lol
2025 my last time of me caring about this album I've waited far too long for the constant blue balls. This shit getting way to similar to Joyner Lucas adhd roll out and that was terrible.
Since we got something about chances new album do you think we get something this year??
I have been waiting for Star Line ever since April and I'm lucky because some people have been waiting since 2022. I'm seriously considering the rollout for Star Line to be just the singles. Honestly, I would be upset because I have already heard everything, but also happy because the singles Chance has dropped are A-tier. I have heard snippets that could be insane if made into full songs so I don't fully believe the rollout will be purely singles, but Chance's playlist on Spotify indicates the Star Line is the friends we have made along the way. 😂
Anyway, I hope it comes out by the end of 2024 because I'm so tired of waiting. I've been listening to Coloring Book and Acid Rap for the last six months, and I am FIENING for more.
Fiening for a writing exercise. 😢

My answer:
Good Ass Intro > All We Got
Pusha Man < No Problem
Paranoia < Summer Friends (Both top 5 Chance tho)
Cocoa Butter Kisses > DRAM Sings Special
Juice > Blessings
Lost < Same Drugs
Everybody’s Something > Mixtape
Interlude (That’s Love) > Angels (Again, both among Chance’s best songs)
Favourite Song < Juke Jam (Close one)
NaNa < All Night
Smoke Again > How Great
Acid Rain > Smoke Break
Chain Smoker < Finish Line/Drown
Everybody’s Good < Blessings
7-7 for me
Also how hyped are y’all for the new mixtape/album
I think it’s one of the better songs from The Big Day, it just sounds more of a fun goofy song and I don’t really get the cringe feeling from it. Maybe I’m the problem? 💀
Hey what’s up? I made an “art gallery” that catalogs as many of the singles, videos, and snippets from the "Star Line" era as I could find:
The site focuses on the songs that have official artwork + YouTube uploads so that (1) the art is the star and (2) it can auto-play through all the songs in order. You can also reverse the order if you want to listen from newest to oldest.
For now the snippets/interviews/context that occurred between each song are behind the (i) info placard of each song, but I want to surface all that content that in an alternate timeline view in my next version.
Please check it out and let me know what you think!
I was obsessed with Chance when he first came on the scene and made it my mission to obtain every piece of music he’d come out with.
My pick would probably be something from The Big Day like Get A Bag, Found A Good One, Ballin Flossin, etc.
I’ve always found Coloring Book a much more enjoyable and better listen than Acid Rap. In my opinion it’s Chance’s best project by FAR and one of the best rap albums/mixtapes ever.
I think it's time to revive the Discord server before Star Line drops. We had over a thousand members when TBD released but we did a poor job of keeping the server active. I'll be working on revamping everything and setting up some events and definitely a listening party for the new project. Let me know if you have any suggestions as well.

What’s the idea here?
To this day I believe that Summer Friends is Chance’s best song, anyone agree?
I just wanted to ask anyone who also bought the vinyl release for Acid Rap how long I need to wait for it to come in. I ordered it over a month ago on the official site, and I have gotten no indication that something went wrong or when it might come in. Is a month a typical wait, and should I be worried about it?
I'm very big into physical media collecting and loved the Lil b collab. Does anyone know if it's somewhere I can buy that isn't just digital? I have every other chance media on vinyl or cd except this.
I was recently relistening to ABAAB I came across something that coincided with the visuals! Now we know that the entire STARLINE project is based around writing and the lyrics themselves, and that's on full display in this song with the intro of "It's been 10 minutes, what you got?" and I think the lyrics reflect the process of quick writing. When talking about the man in the bar at one point he needs to use the bathroom but he doesn't want to wait because the line is so long so he relieves himself outside by his car, only then realizing his meter expired and he has to pay the fine. I think this is a direct parallel with chances patience with lyrics and production.
When someone is constantly releasing new music and new raps their quality could be diminished and their end result might seemed rush or forced, especially with the lyrics suffering, just an immediate thought is Mixtape pluto (apologies if you're a fan of that tape). That represents the man, he put his "waste" out into the public world only to then realize that he "literally" has to pay for it because of his impatience. So not only are people seeing this bad waste but he is paying for it as well, and we all know that this could relate to chance and the release of The Big Day. As for the people in the middle I think that them wishing the line to be shorter is code for "I wish that I could do this faster" but they know they would be like the man outside. So they'll wait until they get their chance. They represent artists who are forever waiting to show their lyricism and will wait ages to do so, also like chance. That's why their names are not important because they can stand for ANY artist that is self conscious about releasing their art, including chance. The whole idea that the song is quickly drafted in 10 minutes completes this story as this is the equivalent to the man outside peeing, it's just rapping for rapping sake and there feels like there's little connection to the lines (from and outside perspective) and the story cutting off at the climax is perfect because it shows chance's fear of BECOMING that guy releasing a shorter less developed song I feel like their could be more to unpack here but I wanted to see what others thought before i dug too deep.
It could literally just be about a bar, idk.
