There is an ambient song that plays in the beginning of the game and in the mansion during the day that I need to know the name of, it just itches my brain
Hello to all that are still playing this game. I just had a question. I've made it to Chapter 6 so far, and noticed that, despite having picked up every occult item I know of, I was not at the right level for a skill check. I've seen a few times about people leveling up the occult skill 'before you start', and when I started a new game to check, I didn't see any ability to do so. Is this a new game thing? Am I just thick? Maybe I missed something?
EDIT: yes I may just be an idiot. It’s during the telephone conversation right after you awake from the nightmare that you can upgrade it, not before, and not after. I suppose I’m starting a new occult game now since that’s how I was hoping to play.
I make it through the asylum, into Sanders’ room and in the middle of the scene as he’s being thrown around, my game crashes. I tried the dev cheat code, I’ve deleted and reinstalled, checked for corrupt data, etc. but I can fix the problem. Does anybody know what else I can do? Playing on Nintendo Switch.
I had a blast getting through this game. I'm fond of every aspect of this thing:the atmosphere, dialogue, action, the villains and their wretched deeds...it was a great experience. This leaves me wondering if there will ever be a sequel to such a neat game.
How in the world do I prioritize occult to max it when there are other skills I need in order to even get access to all of the occult stuff? I had to prioritize getting spot hidden up so I wouldn't miss the mansion occult item but now my investigation skill was lacking so I can't get the other occult item.
Throughout the game it seems like he's just good at crime scene investigating but as time goes on his crime reconstructions seem to react to him. Like the occult stuff that pops up sometimes hurting him or giving him visions. Why?
I'm new to reddit n stuff. Hopefully i'm doing this correctly.
As the title explains what exact steps or decisions does one have to make during the playthrough of Call of Cthulhu 2018 videogame to unlock the endings that net you the trophies Nameless Cult and Farewell?
I'm going mad looking for the info on Internet but no one has a reliable answer or strategy.
I come to the Call of Cthulhu reddit in search of answers to my plight!
Thanks in advance
So, as the tag says i was on the mission with the whole consuming its flesh and accepting its knowledge, and i clearly clicked dont consume, and dont accept, and edwards hungry ass just heads for the table and takes a bite and even though i picked for me not to. Does anyone know if there are game aspects that would force those options upon me? I definitely made sure it wasnt a misclick.
When I play the game everything is normal for a while but then the audio starts stuttering terribly, it's impossible playing like that. My fps is mostly normal and it happens on every video settings. I have Intel Core i5 7300HQ and Nvidia GTX 1050 and 8 gb ram. Please help.
I'm learning quickly that I am not a gamer!
Interacting with objects on E, running on left-shift while simultaniously moving with WASD. It feels very clunky and like I have to break my fingers in order to do all the things I want to do. Are the controls strange on PC or am I just bad at gaming?
I like the story so far all right but not the gameplay xD
i want to read the book AND i want to play this game, but i dont know if the game has any spoilers for the book so should i read the book first or play the game?
What does that mean in dialogues?? How does it affect the story but mostly what am I communicating??
Hi guys, I have a retail copy and in the end I can't lower the four levers after having lowered the central one, let the water out, entered the body of one of the monsters and climbed onto the 4 statues. Is there any solution?
1.Should I invest in occultism
2.Does saying no to officer Bradley coming with at Hawkins mansion change how the scene where charles kills him plays out
3.How sane are you able to be by the end of the game
So I bought this game yesterday and every time I try to play it I barely get pass the loading screen after entering a save, it crashes about a minute after starting the game and I can’t seem to find anything to solve it. My drivers are up to date. Any idea what could it be?
So imma keep this short. I've seen some videos that have made me interested in this game and I do enjoy stealth and detective/puzzle games. The seeting intrigues me, but to get the best experience, should I read the book? And if so, is there anything I should check out before playing the game? Or can I just jump in?
In chapter 8 when playing as Colden you can find a finger in Fuller’s office as one of the hidden objects, but all they say is it belonged to a woman. I don’t think it ever comes up again, but is there some buried piece of evidence that says who it belonged to?
I've been keeper for a couple of scenarios and decided to create my first homebrew Scenario. I have a rough idea of how the story will go. The players will be playing investigators/detectives who are investigating the potential murder of a man. The man in question is the protagonist from hp lovecraft's Dagon. The incident is ruled out as a madman who committed suicide. But then certain clues start popping up. A neighbor comes forward with a weird story to tell about the night of the victim's death. She saw someone. Was it a murder after all? They know the victim was addicted to morphine. Did he owe someone money? What about the journal he left behind? Was it really written by the victim? Maybe it's some wierd red herring. Did the murderer write it to make it seem like a suicide? At some point the journal will dissappear from the evidence locker. The players will be able to interview a host of suspects, including the victim's doctor, psychiatrist, neighbors and landlord. They might also be able to visit the hospital, ethnologist or captain named in hp lovecraft's Dagon. Or Maybe the victim tried to do some research at local libraries. Took out a couple of books. I would like to make it a complex investigation. But there will always be something lurking in the shadows. Someone following the investigators at a distance. Something terrifying.
Sorry for all my rambling, but these are just the ideas I had for this scenario. Has anyone ever written a similar one? If so advice and tips will be greatly appreciated. Any advice is welcome. If anyone has any ideas of their own to add, like characters, monsters, encounters, combat ideas or plotlines in the story please share.
I’m stuck on chapter ten on the second glyph algernon won’t create the safety zone, I’m on ps5 so I can’t go back too a old save file and there no other I can stop the shambler
Hi guys, noob here. I’m basically starting the game (investigating the fire at the mansion right now) and whenever I get players points I tend to distribute them evenly. However I’m seeing that the most useful so far are the research focused, like perception, psychology and so on. Does it make sense to put those points in physical strength at some point? Is there a strategy to distribute these points?
I’ve had to use 2 walk thru’s already and I’m on chapter 6 and I’ve got the dagger but no chance can I get back to the painting - he gets me every time I get the dagger and try and hide. It is meant to be this difficult or I am not missing something.
