Can anyone tell me how apply Super gradient theme or anyother css in Zen Browser..I tried applying it but it doesn't work
How do people get these browser logos in their usernames. I mean ive seen them in the comments having 1 or probably 5 of them. if you have a browser logos on your username. Please tell me ill appreciate it.
I have Chrome as main. Firefox as back up, in case Chrome gets some serious bug or security breach. Soon I will quit Chrome for obvious reasons. I can't download a second Firefox as back up, because they will be receving the same updates.
Are there good Chromium browsers known for their reliability?
I like minimalistic design, and I don't need the address bar. Therefore, I'd like to save the space to have more usage of my screen. If I ever need to evoke it, I do it with a hotkey anyway. Currently, I'm using Vivaldi, and it does have the feature, but it has many flaws, which is why I'm looking to change.
I've heard the ARC browser has this feature, but it's only available on Mac, not on Windows. Do you know of any browsers or have any suggestions?
Okay so I read through a lot of stuff and seems like the project is in alpha. It is a really good browser and actually pretty fast and did not feel like it was in alpha at all. My main question is about privacy. Through the previous posts in here it is already established that zen isn't as good as librewolf. But librewolf also breaks a lot of pages. I'm really confused now. I love zen and would love to use it for daily driving (youtube, gmeet and Google classroom) so will I be fine signing into these services or should I stay away from entering credentials anywhere when on this browser? if yes, what browser should I resort to for stuff that requires credentials to work with because I have about 6-7 Google accounts of different stuff that I need to manage and previously I used to have different profiles for all those Google accounts on chrome but i kinda hate chrome now.
My question is, would I be safe using zen as a daily driver or should I just go back to brave?
I've observed that Goibibo has a way to block users from inspecting their website (like showing a "temporarily unavailable" page). I’m looking to implement a similar solution for a large production codebase to prevent unauthorized inspection or tampering without disrupting the experience for regular users.
I’m hoping to find an optimal, scalable solution that won’t impact normal user interactions. Any tips or insights would be much appreciated!
I'm here to ask for help, whenever I click on a link in any of my Browsers they all say "Site not secure" or if i go on YT it'll let me click on a video but it'll end up eternally loading. It has only started recently and I can't find a fix for it. Help would be great
Is there a browser on iOS besides Safari that lets me customize my homepage with favorite pages(like how Safari works) rather than just frequently visited sites? I really like the usability of iOS Safari, but I also need a browser that can sync across all my devices, including a Windows PC (since Safari isn’t an option there). Any recommendations?
Given recent news. Mozilla laying off 30% of their staff, and the entire advocacy dept. That would suggest Mozilla either has totally given up on advocating for FOSS, or will scale back considerably. Are you still sticking it out, to advocate for keeping the non-Chromium market alive? Or what?
I'm looking for a browser with great privacy, great ui, great customization, and lastly, great settings. So basically a balance between everything
SSE3 / AVX2, and 64-bit. Among these instruction sets, AVX2 is the best choice with the fastest performance and the most advanced features. The reasons are as follows:
SSE3 Instruction Set:
Advantages: The SSE3 (Streaming SIMD Extensions 3) instruction set is a SIMD instruction set introduced by Intel in 2004, mainly used to accelerate floating-point operations and multimedia applications. It enhances vector operation capabilities, supports more precise floating-point calculations, can improve multi-thread performance and memory access speed, and thus can increase the overall running speed of the computer system.
Disadvantages: It is relatively old. Its parallel processing capabilities and data throughput are weaker compared to the subsequent AVX and AVX2 instruction sets. The instructions it mainly added are extensions based on the previous SSE2. There is a certain gap in performance improvement compared to AVX2. For some modern applications with extremely high performance requirements, SSE3 may not be able to meet the needs.
AVX Instruction Set: AVX (Advanced Vector Extensions) is an instruction set extension introduced by Intel in 2008. It extends the width of SIMD operations from 128 bits to 256 bits, enabling it to process more data simultaneously, greatly improving the floating-point operation performance and parallel processing capabilities of the processor. However, the AVX instruction set still has some deficiencies in some functions and performance optimizations. For example, in terms of data alignment and processing, as well as support for complex operations, there is still room for improvement compared to the subsequent AVX2.
AVX2 Instruction Set: AVX2 is an instruction set extension introduced in 2013. It has been further improved and optimized on the basis of AVX and has the following advantages:
Higher Parallelism: AVX2 maintains the width of vector operations at 256 bits, enabling it to operate on more data simultaneously, greatly increasing the parallelism of data processing. This means that within the same clock cycle, AVX2 can process more data, thereby improving the execution efficiency of the program. For example, when performing large-scale matrix operations, image processing, video encoding and other tasks, AVX2 can significantly improve the processing speed.
Richer Instruction Set: AVX2 has added many new instructions that can handle and operate data more conveniently. For example, it has added support for integer vector operations, enabling it to fully utilize the advantages of SIMD when processing integer data. In addition, AVX2 has also optimized operations such as data alignment, broadcasting, and permutation, making program writing more convenient and also improving the execution efficiency of the program.
Better Compatibility: AVX2 is developed on the basis of AVX, so it has good compatibility with AVX. Meanwhile, AVX2 is widely used in various software and applications, including operating systems, compilers, databases, scientific computing and other fields. This means that if your program uses the AVX2 instruction set, it can run on most computers and has good portability.
In conclusion, AVX2 is the optimal choice. It can provide the fastest performance and the most advanced functions and can meet the performance requirements of most modern applications for the processor. Of course, if your program has low requirements for the instruction set or compatibility needs to be considered, then SSE3 or AVX can also be options. But overall, AVX2 is a more preferable solution.
I am not talking about smartphone browsers, I am specifically talking about browsers for computers which use the least data (or have a data saving mode).
Right now, I don't have Wifi, I am running on my mobile data hotspot, and I need to save as much data as possible. So what would you recommend? Especially when it comes down to watching videos (Disney+, YouTube etc)?
Though i don't prefer using such random browsers. But i prefer trying them. Recently i heard about this lil browser in reddit. As once, i was a fan of Firefox lite, i still love trying such light browsers. Have any idea about this browser? I mean is it even secure?
I have used opera, brave and chrome so far, and am looking for a new browser that has good customization as well as good security features. If ya'll do have some recommendations, do lmk
I got 3 browsers I kind of like. Chrome, Zen, and Vivaldi. I dont know which one I should choose. Chromes auto translate is really useful, I enjoy the vertical tabs and workspaces. But I just don't know what to pick.
surely I am not the only one who believes that mozilla is coming to an end, firefox has not changed anything in the last 10 years, unfortunately mozilla has recently laid off 30% of its staff.
I would venture to guess that firefox will die soon.
currently I have to use google chrome, brave or edge as very important tools in my day to day life.
I find sidebar to be more productive when it can be accessed using keyboard shortcuts, as it allows quick lookups on sidebar sites.
I know Vivaldi, however it doesn't fulfil my other needs. So, I'm looking for more options.
I tried Brave,Edge,Chrome.
All of them want to auto update.
They want to disable the most useful extensions that make web tolerable (ublock, blacklist and many more)
All the under guise of "security" and "protecting" me while safely harvesting my data.
Anyone feels the same?
hello everyone! what is the difference firefox and waterfox? i using firefox my daily distro and my phone, but what's the cons and pros about waterfox?
As per THIS for Mobile Browsers, Brave is stronger than Firefox is terms of privacy. So Firefox is only well-known and famous for being non-chromium? And brave is a-bit less famous due to chromium? So yes, Brave is better?
For me, Idc about chromium or not, I just want good Privacy. So I should go with Brave right? (I'll be doing online payments, visiting various informational websites which loves tracking me and will be using duckduckgo and chatgpt.)
I wanted to try out Vivaldi, during initial setup, I accidentally got a fake ublock origin from chrome webstore (first time using chromium browser in a while) it had a million downloads, and is just called “ublock”
While this extension was installed I’ve logged into Bitwarden, and my google accounts using Bitwarden, should I change my passwords, or am I fine?
