So for my soon to be kickstarted pnp game I am looking to change the picture (currently using A) for the preview page. Which of those looks best at presenting information is easy to look at and kinda eye catching? Please help me decide. Thanks!
If you were interested in The Infection: Roll, Write and Fight we have a great news, there is a review of the game available if you want to get familiar with it! What do you think? Does such video explain all of your questions you could have for the game? I've found it really neat and compact.
A few days ago, I was on YouTube and between videos my subscription to Shut Up & Sit Down loaded a minutes-old video onto my home page. I watched it and learned about Air, Land, and Sea for the first time. I immediately got on to Amazon and saw it was $15. I thought, “oh cool, I’ll pick this up with my next Amazon order.” Fast forward a few days and now it’s out of stock on Amazon. What incredible power a few reviewers can have over the markets over a short time span, especially during a global quarantine.
I wrote a blog post at Board Game Geek about how board games have added value during this troubled time

Hi we just bought "quacks of quedlinburg herb witches". The guy in the store claimed it was stand alone but the box says expansion on the back. Does any one know if it's playable as is or if it requires the base game?
Thank you.
Hi. I'm going to produce 1000 copies of my boardgame in Poland and I'm getting quotes of around 900€ just for the transportation to Portugal. Is this normal? Box sizes are 260x260x40 with an estimated weight of 1Kg for each box.
Hey All,
I'm an avid tabletop gamer, as well as a full time videographer/editor. I've recently been looking to branch out my editing to new genres, and have been asking around to see if any up coming board game creators need an editor for a kickstarter or youtube channel! I'm well versed in video SEO, as well as the typical styles of videos you would be needing. I can also of course film stuff for you, but we can work that out. Please PM me if you or someone you know might be interested!
🦕🦖 We are live and hatching! 🦖🦕
Our Kickstarter page has launched! Any pledges would be massively appreciated in helping us bring our board game to the new age!
Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing crowdfunding platform. This means that if our project does not meet its funding target you can be safe in the knowledge that your money is returned!
We thank you for all the support we've received so far - we are truly overwhelmed! If you do have some spare time to check out our Kickstarter page and pledge towards our target, we would be infinitely grateful! Check out the link below!
On behalf of the Dino Hatchers team, happy hatching! 🥚

An explanation of how to play Dino Hatchers:
Any feedback on the game mechanics would also be very much valued!
So I came up with an idea back in 2018 to create my own card game, I've made a very fast progress during the early 2 months but it feels like I stoped it for almost a year (nearly all of 2019), I'm very confused if I have to continue making the game or not, I can't find any active card games community, thinking that I'm outdated, the rules are Ready, cards as well but the game remains unfinished till this day! Here are some pictures of it and tell me what you think about it? any opinions and suggestions?? please if you want more details join my discord :)
Hi all! For starters, I'm new to this industry so I'm trying to learn all I possibly can before deciding on moving forward with a Kickstarter/self publishing/pitching to a publisher. My partner and I have spent the last 2 years developing a mid 1800s horror themed board game that has a lot of simple advance through to the end, roll dice, choose a card mechanics. We've invited groups for playtesting over the past year and a half, refined our rules and game play, and have had mostly positive feedback. We have the majority of our artwork in hand, having found a brilliant artist who perfectly fits the style we were looking for. The game does include several miniatures that serve as game pieces. We've so far sculpted and molded the pieces ourselves, and wouldn't have a problem doing so with a run of up to a thousand units or so with our current molding process. I realize that it may be necessary to hire an injection molding company at some point.
My question is, now that we're nearing the phase where we want to procure quotes from manufacturers and fulfillment companies to see if our production cost to sale ratio is viable, are there fulfillment/distribution companies that will package different components from different sources for shipping to eventual backers/customers? Or is it better to find a company from the get go that produces and packages every aspect of the game from a manufacturing standpoint? Excuse my ignorance on the subject, I really want to be as prepared as possible before making any decisions about how to proceed. I know there is a lot of work in research, marketing, and more that needs to happen before we can even think about a Kickstarter. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!
I make a deck of cards (OmenQuest) that are wholly unique and am hoping to connect to vendors to sell my game. I won't have my own booth but understand there are open playing areas.
What should I expect?
How will I know where to find retailers and distributors?
What questions am I forgetting to ask?!
What bugs you about the way boardgames are reviewed? What are trends you don't like?
For me, I dislike that I'm seeing more reviewers adding skits in their reviews. It feels less like SUSD and more 'Family Guy'
My latest article about the board game hobby is up on Bloomberg.com.
As with my previous article on luxury board game accessories, this was written and edited for an audience outside of the hobby. Happy to answer any questions you have about the article or the process!
Hey all! My name is Cameron Art and, in addition to designing games and writing a blog, I've been working on developing The Board Game Bulletin, a free online magazine about tabletop games. In the past 2 issues (which you can find at www.cameronartgames.com/bgb) I have included interviews with designers, featured content creators, the winner of our past month's game design contest, and a look at upcoming Kickstarter peojects.
My question is, where should I expand to next? What would you like to see in a The Board Game Bulletin?
Hello, I need some advice on a technical problem. I’d like to make a hexagonal grid on a large transparent vinyl. But here, I tried with the help of a template («Unfold» sheet of a board game Haven & Ale) but it went wrong after a few lines. I was able to do about 1 foot by 1 foot and a half. I need 3 feet by 3 feet. I would like to draw the grid on a big carton and then place the vinyl on it to copied the grid. Do you have a way, better of mine, to draw a hexagonal grid quickly and efficiently? Thank’s!
Hey all!
Moonrakers is headed to Origins, Gen Con, and Essen this year and I'm trying to decide how many games I should bring with me to sell. Does anyone have any insight into this?
This is our first game and we're not quite sure what to expect - for reference we ran a lot of ads during the campaign and had over 6,000 backers, so it will at least be slightly known and is delivering to KS backers right before.
Hi there!
I am still looking for female players from the USA, who would like to tell me a bit about their boardgame preferences in a short Skype-Interview (as I am from Austria). So it's just a little chat about board games for my master thesis, everything is anonymous and no specific knowledge about boardgames is necessary
I am especially looking for people, who mostly play family games (playing a bit more complex games sometimes is of course also okay ;-))
I am looking forward to have some nice conversations about boardgames with you! :-)
Hi everybody! I hope this post fits here.
I am currently looking for some people from the USA, Germany and Switzerland, who would like to tell me a bit about their boardgame preferences in a short Skype-Interview (as I am from Austria). So it's just a little chat about board games for my master thesis, everything is anonymous and no specific knowledge about boardgames is necessary

I've been looking at the current tariffs for board games imported from China to the US. I'm having a hard time figuring out if the the tariff is 10% or 0%, and was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this.
First off, I believe the HS and HTS code for board games are 9504.90 and 9504.90.60, respectively. That puts board games in List 4B as far as the trade war is concerned.
This international trade law site states that the duty is 10%
15% additional duty effective on List 4B products will not go into effect (previously December 15, 2019). Note duty was originally 10%
However, I can't find anything else that states the 10% duty was ever put into effect. The China Briefing website has an extensive list of important points in the trade war, but also never mentions a 10% duty on List 4B ever taking effect. I thought that maybe the 10% duty was put in place before the trade war, but when I check Simply Duty, it claims the duty is 0%.
Does anyone have any insight on this they'd be willing to share?
