A place to discuss the political commentator and columnist Ben Shapiro. Facts don't care about your feelings.
Ben Shapiro is an American conservative political commentator, columnist, best selling author, radio talk show host, and lawyer. He entered UCLA at the age of sixteen and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and graduated Harvard Law School cum laude.
He also serves as editor-in-chief for The Daily Wire, which he founded, and hosts The Ben Shapiro Show, a daily political podcast and radio show. According to the ADL, Shapiro is the most targeted journalist of anti-Semitic attacks by the alt-right, and one of the most protested college campus speakers by the left.

Posts should be geared toward talking about Ben Shapiro, and his brand of conservatism: The purpose of this sub is to facilitate discussion related to Ben Shapiro and the Daily Wire in a broad and expansive sense. We err on the side of permitting topics. Moderators will not take aggressive action to try and balance out the dialog between various factions of users, but, at our discretion, we will remove posts that are meant to undermine this sub (alt-right and radical left).
Attacks on other users: This sub aims for respectful dialogue and debate. Make every attempt to be polite in tone and fair in your arguments. Attacking other users is prohibited, including attacks against collective users of the sub.
Political stereotyping and insults: All discussions must be regarding the issues. Ridiculing a person for being a conservative or liberal is a violation of the rules.
Be Constructive: Work towards making the sub better. Be honest in your characterization of other users' arguments. Deliberately lying about policy, history, and current events is anti-constructive behavior.
Brigading: Brigading is when users, generally from outside the sub, flood the subreddit and downvote content hurting karma of other redditors and spouting their generally toxic low-effort opinions. This also goes both ways. If any user calls for a brigade onto another sub/post, left or right, that user is subject to a ban at moderator discretion.
Sarcasm, cynicism, and profanity: Do not make posts that consist ONLY of sarcasm, cynicism or virtue signaling that do not add to the discussion. Profanity is not prohibited, but is discouraged in order to facilitate discussion.

I'd love to get Ben's take on who the Trump administration should prosecute for corruption (looking at you Garland, Majorkas and the Big Guy) and who should be allowed to skate to bring the country back together.
Can Trump pardon himself after he is sworn in?
First 10 minutes of the Nov 6 show — Ben was absolutely on fire

I know this isn’t exactly a Shapiro specific post, but how the hell are we still waiting on results from Nevada and Arizona. Like, I know it doesn’t matter at this point for President, but it’s fucking crazy to me that it takes more than a day to count those states. I guess this goes for every state that we are still waiting on for house and senate results. It’s insane.
I really don’t understand why she lost. It’s really a mystery to me. Ad starts at 6:55. This is one of the weirdest political ads I’ve ever seen.
Help?
I 100% took Ben up on that Kalshi promo, election betting app.
I 10x the $10 bucks I left of my own money in there, ended up with $100, and it WOULDA been $300 if Hovde woulda came through 😭😭
I'm playing it more like a stock market as well, I'm not planning on letting bets resolve, I'm just scalping and market making.
Anyone else take Ben up on Kalshi? Or, like me, Kalshi AND Hovde??
Very few people expected him to win both the popular vote and electoral college.
What's that city in a swing state that Ben keeps saying that Kamala and the democrats keep pressuring israel to try and get votes in . . . . .?
What's that cities name?
I listened to Ben's recent episode on the case for Trump, but I'm unsure how to best deliver the message to swing voters.
How do I convince people In my swing state to vote for Trump after Jan 6th?
For context, I live in an upper middle class suburb in Dane County, Wisconsin, roughly 30 minutes away from Madison. Obviously, Wisconsin is a crucial swing state that's been decided by less than 1% in the last two elections.
I would describe my town as politically moderate, where local and congressional elections tend to favor the Republican party and Presidential elections tend to favor the Democrats. Over the last 2 election cycles it's tilted towards the Dems quite a bit due to the much-reported suburban antipathy towards Trump's rhetoric (though not necessarily his policies in my opinion).
What alarms me however is the MASSIVE swing away from Trump I've seen over the last few years. I'm pretty active in my church, I work at a major employer in the area, I volunteer, I'm part of a local hiking club, all my family and friends live in the area, etc. Over the last 8 years I'd say roughly 40% of the people I've known have voted for Trump and the remaining either for the Democrats or a few 3rd party. But unfortunately this time, I'd say it's close to 85% that are voting for Kamala and about 10-15% that are voting either Trump or 3rd party.
The thing is, when it comes to topics like immigration and inflation, I'd say a solid majority of the people I'm referring to prefer Trump's policies, although they express some discomfort over his remarks regarding immigrants. There are some pro-choice folks I know who aren't happy with the Dobbs decision, but they don't care about it enough to vote for Kamala.
But what HAS really driven pretty much all these people I know towards voting Democrat is Jan 6th and the events that preceded it. The initial claims of voter fraud (which by the way although I'm voting for and have even donated to Trump, I'm not sure they're 100% true) really irritated a lot of the people I know. But Jan 6th, along with Trump's continued claims that the election was stolen, as well as JD Vance saying he would not have certified the election, have made people I know (most of whom are sane, reasonable folks) do a complete 180. They have now convinced themselves that Trump is some sort of dictator, despite the fact that he LITERALLY GAVE UP POWER and Joe Biden is currently half-dead in office.
The kicker is, many of these people are life-long Republicans who voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020. I've seen people who in the past had MAGA signs in their front lawns now have "Country over Party" signs and they truly believe they're doing a service to the GOP by supposedly "righting the ship". This despite unanimously disliking Harris and viewing her as an inauthentic flip-flopper, and rightfully so.
As election day starts, I've signed up to volunteer with a local get-out-the-vote org that's associated with my church. I will also be door-knocking on behalf of the Trump campaign as well as driving elderly conservatives to the polls. How do I convince people who previously supported Donald Trump to put aside their reservations about the 2020 election and make the right choice in 2024?
I looked it up right after I heard Trump say it at his rally in Pittsburg, but I couldn't find anything on the internet confirming it. Is this the first it's been announced?
This is a dedicated thread to discuss the daily Ben Shapiro Shows. This thread will repost every week on Monday.
Interesting how Ben is going on a lot of shows lately
"Ep. 2076 - 4 Days To Go: Democrat DESPERATION!" About 40 minutes in, Shapiro screens a hilarious post-apocalyptic vision of the future in which Trump is dead and Vance is a dictator from an organization called "Seed the Vote". I seriously can't find it anywhere. Google is pretending it doesn't exist. Can't find it on Duckduckgo either. I want to forward it to my friends!
