This is my 4½ month old avocado and clearly it's thriving. I never "topped" it or anything— never cut off the leaves when it reached 6" tall. However, I did pinch off the new growth before that longer stem of growth on top, but I don't think it resulted in branching.
Anyway, there are mini leaves on the sides of the shoots, should I rip those off? I want this plant to be on the shorter, branchier side and I don't know what should I do— should I cut off new growth to encourage branching or leave it be? I love it too much to cut away but what do you think?
I swear I don’t see them at the local fruit market until January/February, but some of these are already big.
great news
I’m in south texas 10a and i’m looking for a type an and b to grow together. Any that can be maintained to 10ft or shorter and kept not too wide would be perfect. thank you
Is this safe?
Fun fact: the plant on the left is a coffee plant.
Both of these are around 18 months old, they grow so slow!
My avocado seedling seems to be frozen in time as it has looked like this for at least four weeks. When do I put this in a pot and what tips do you have for when that time comes?
